These conciliatory, empathetic scenes amongst the Abbotts are beautiful. Peter Bergman, Beth Maitland and Eileen Davidson treated us to tear jerking drama this week. I loved it.

1) John: “Dina I never noticed it before but there appears to be a tattoo on your back saying ‘Hell’s Angels Sex Toy’.” 2) John : “You mean to tell me you conserved a year’s worth of menstrual blood in that decanter just so you can make it look authentic for trick or treat?” 3) Rod Serling: “Submitted for your approval the backdrop of a happy, content, affluent American home. I guess Jack serving in Vietnam and fathering Keemo was all a dream that never actually happened. He looks way to young in these flashbacks to the 70s for any of Keemo’s history to have happened.
I feel betrayed when the writers disregard history.
I believe the new car John brought was a 1969 Cadillac Eldorado. The United States removed all active duty personnel fighting in Vietnam in 1973. That would still give Jack Abbott enough time to reach draft age and father a child while serving in the conflict.
Good try, but no. The memories are definitly from 1973. “Jack was always there for us.” Well, except for his stint in Vietnam that is still never mentioned. The cute halter top Ashley is wearing at the dining room table doing homework was huge in 1973. What an adorable outfit for Ashley, except it’s school time in Wisconsin and since Jack is wearing a short sleeved sweater, I doubt it’s a hot spell in May….
