I was originally a fan of this pairing. I like Victoria with an older, strong-willed businessman. It made sense to me that she would fall for him. But… it’s kinda grown stale for me already. Maybe it’s because I don’t know yet if Ashland is duping Victoria or if he really loves her, and my strong suspicion is that Richard Burgi who portrays Ashland is on a short contract and he’s just getting revenge on Victor.
