The Abbott mansion reveal was not as exciting as I had anticipated. I didn’t love or hate it. They did manage to change the decorative look without putting us in remodeling shock and that was a huge win. I thought the wallpaper in the foyer and stair railing was the most eye pleasing change. I love pastels but, that pink sofa was not my favorite; although, it did soften the dark shelves and paneling. The portrait of the lady matched the color scheme and is pretty but, this was a missed opportunity to honor John Abbott with a portrait like… Read more »
Clearly, my fashionista eye has been out gunned by the wardrobe department’s commitment to thumb holsters or thumb hole sleeves. I will start by saying that I did put aside some of my bias when I saw Audra’s floral dress, found it stunning before she picked up the fork and I still couldn’t hate it. Phyllis’s dress, not so much. First, she rocked the fit of that dress but, it was still not enough to save it. The snakeskin print was not well done and that belt and shoulder harness combination was worse. In contrast, Chelsea’s print dress was very… Read more »

When Cole coughed, it reminded me of when Chandler on Friends said he was apparently dying of a cough, as he was being sarcastic because no one has ever died of a cough. Only on television is a cough a sign of dying for some reason.
Cole is probably going to have some mysterious illness could be terminal he doesn’t really have a lot to do on the show

This is very sad that Y&R wants to kill off Cole! It appears that this may be the direction they are going. I really like his character. I find his character to be very down-to-earth, believable, and a character that you can relate to. When he was telling Victoria and Claire how much he missed them and loves them, I believed it.. Cole is very authentic. He comes across as being such a good guy that you forget he actually cheated on Victoria with Ashley. His character now would never do that. He has evolved and become a better man.… Read more »

Pay no attention to my fake phone but its word is that Aristotle Du is a woman
Could it be our newly Blonde Tessa Porter. Just having a little fun with my girl.
But it being a woman would be interesting.
Ooh, As I was writing my funny joke. I thought wouldn’t it be great and a game changer, that Diane Jenkins Abbott was Aristotle Dumas and even more shocking that if it is a woman, that it was Amy Lewis.
No need to panic! Dina death chair has been preserved! Along with all the other furniture.

Was Holden wearing a leather shirt when he approached Audra and Lily?

My 2nd two cents: Just so I don’t sound like a “downer”; I love the wallpaper in Jack’s foyer, the updated darker staircase railing, the dark wall color in living room, and the bookshelves. And…..the white chair with small dots or a small pattern—can’t see it that well. But please, Jack, if you are listening to me—-get rid of the sofa ASAP. Thanks!!
I didn’t notice a new staircase until i was told, but like the light foyer with what looks like a kind of pale marbled wallpaper. Like the brown axcented walls with the “too feminine” rose sofa of imported velvet, says Diane. Wasn’t sure about the light, what I want to call small animal print chair but now i like it. Is that where Dina’s death chair was that Chatters like to joke about? Listen, that was no joke. Today I didn’t like the dining room. It was dark and seemed too grand & formal over the blue space of the… Read more »

Is there a reason John stuck Diana’s portrait gift to him up in the attic?
Too funny and very relatable for me because I’m watching DS from the beginning. I’m up to Adam (Frankenstein) and the creation of his wife.

Someone who is in need of a storyline is Audra. Seducing Kyle break up he and Claire isn’t drama. Everyone has already figured it out, except for Kyle. And it’s just a matter of time. Audra is an intriguing character. This actress has chemistry with everyone. GC needs a femme fatale. Send Audra away for a while and have her come back in an established cosmetics company. Add a kick-a.. assistant who takes no guff from anyone. I would be all in if Theo Vanderway was on her arm and had plans of his own.

I like the Abbott place better today. I had to get used to the darker walks. Still is old looking but not as much. What about the spotted 70’s chair? One thing is for sure they made a much bigger deal about it than they needed to.
Loved the flashback with John. I forgot how handsome Jack was.
I really like the Abbott refresh. It is old and new at the same time. It needed a re-modeling and I’m happy to get an updated set.

I’m still on the fence about the Amy, Damien, Holden storyline. Is she really sick and Nate’s friend has been bought by our mysterious billionaire? Are Damien and Amy in cahoots? Then there’s Holden who’s just plain sketchy! About ready for this story to get some real teeth.
I had liked Holden but he is acting more creepy recently. He grabbed a table close by to listen in on Lily and Audra. Hmmm, not sure if he’s a stalker or what. He is always just hanging around to schmooze with the women of GC.

My two cents: Even though Jack’s mansion was beautifully redone; I’m not a fan of the rose colored, striped sofa. (But I’m not a pink person). When in doubt, go LEATHER—which would look warm next to the dark wall color. However, the dining room is much improved—looks more open and lighter.

Diane’ refresh is nice. She kept the classic vibe, but update the color scheme to a lighter tone. ( I found photos online which gave more detail.) I loved the change to the entry way. It is so open and full of light. The floor and wall paper are classics and drew the eye up. Diane even lighter the trim color from ivory to a soft white. The Abbott’s sofa went from an over-stuffed gold sofa to a modern tufted salmon sofa which lends a softer touch. I didn’t see “Dina’s death chair” although it may still be there. I… Read more »

So Cole is a dead man. Nice knowing you, Cole… I’m glad that Claire, in the company of her mother and grandmother, already put together that Audra may be used by Victor to cause harm to Jack and Jabot. Here’s hoping it won’t be hard for them to figure out the whole scheme… and quickly. I’ve always been Team Victor. I tend to give him the benefit of every possible doubt. Not even his locking that Jordan woman in his dungeon and feeding her Brussels sprouts altered my affections. (I told my wife, who doesn’t watch the show, about that… Read more »

I totally agree the picture should be John Abbott

Good Point!
I believe there is a curse upon the portrait
Could be Angelique from DS
