Here’s why: Since yesterday, our sleepy little Y&R Chat community here has been flooded with new comments EVERY HOUR ON THE HOUR to rip apart Nikki’s hair. I get it. It’s bad. We just don’t need 100 comments repeating it.
BUT, we would love to hear your thoughtful comments on any other topic. There’s so much to chat about this week, and new visitors are welcome to jump in!
It will be interesting to see as characters start branching out into fine dining at peek hours, if the restaurants will continue to have no other visable patrons, or even a waiter…. And what of the hotel business? Abby & Phyllis will be working overtime to attend the endless needs of what are no guests. Catostrophes like a house fire with masses fleeing their rooms to congregate out the GP doors will not be happening. No more unnatural diasters blowing up townspeople at social gatherings for now. I thought they would too, like the New Zealand Soap, Shortland Street did. It was interesting and made the story compelling.
Great job Y&R!! Way to bring us right back into it. So fun to see Jack and Victor taking up the torch – it felt like the writers were acknowledging all the classic episodes we’ve seen. I loved how Victoria reached out to Sharon – the show flourishes when there are well-developed friendships. Adam is coming into his own as a parent instead of repeating the cold, distant father pattern. Kevin and Chloe are so cute and real – Kevin looks hotter than ever! Missed Dina.
I voted that I could live with it in the poll. I think they are doing a good job . Social distancing is obvious. Everyone is far apart in the scenes. Kissing and sex scenes in general are off screen or cut away scenes. Except for Devon and Elena. They are together IRL. What about Sharon & Adam? Are they being set up to get together as a couple too? Time will tell. At least they didn’t use mannequins like B&B did in the beginning. Thanks for the podcast this week. I appreciate your thoughtfulness and fun comments. Your comment about Victoria being a brittle character makes me long for the past when Vicky was smart, cunning and sexy. Y & R mix up her brittleness with her past character traits for the perfect combo.
I liked Heather Tom as Victoria. She was a real sex kitten but I guess that was the intention. Victoria now is a savvy business woman but she is too obsessed with besting Victor or trying to please him
I loved how she returned the favor and reached out to Sharon. Remember the lemon cake?

Nate obviously has a crush on Elena and Devon could not stop smiling at Amanda. It is about get messy! Ha!
Nate and Elena do have more in common with their medical careers and Amanda looks just like Hilary .Enough said.

Though it is early in the game, I love the energy between Sharon and Adam.
I like their energy too, and I think they can help each other
It’s just that Chelsea and Adam are so well suited to each other. They each have a real dark side and a history of being a bit of a scrappy outsider. They always have each other’s backs. They’re good schemers – separately and together! AND they share Connor.
What does Adam need to help Sharon with. She has her Team Sharon Cheerleaders, that includes our sexy as heck, Rey.
I think Nick is the love of Sharon’s life, and I like Adam with Chelsea, but I have to agree with you about the energy between Sharon and Adam.
They are a couple in real life and it is clear that Sharon has a hard time controlling her desire for Mark, when they are in scenes together.
Is it strange that I might have a touch of PTSD; I’m afraid to delete this weeks episodes from my DVR in case something happens. It was so comforting having “them” back. I wonder if the actors actually realize what an impact they have on fan’s lives.
It’s great having new episodes and they are doing a great job. Fewer love scenes is the way to go, like they did with Phyllis and Nick . Leave it off screen except for Elena and Devon they can be shown since they actually are seeing each other IRL
I was so away and busy latey thats i even missed the classic episodes on the young and the restless blog now they’re off. But i am back right with the new episodes coincidentally and gotta say finally we have them again !! Yay! Welcome back!!!
How nice to have our first week of new episodes. It’s great to see the actors look well, even if a few seem a little different. We are now watching with more background information. I’m anxious to see what will happen going forward. I hope everyone gets a little bit of what they’d like to see. It certainly has got everyone chatting.
I was so happy that Victor finally threw it in Jack’s face about his teaming up with Adam to gram Victor for Walter Palin’s murder! I couldn’t take Jack’s sanctimonious lecturing over Adam.
Jack and Adam always had a good relationship, He does treat Adam better than Victor although Victor does love Adam just has strange ways of showing it.
I think it would be a good twist if Theo is actually Jack’s child. Vanderway found out about a one night stand Jack had that resulted in pregnancy, and took the oppotunity to steal Jack’s son as a twisted revenge. John actually being Theo’s father’s father could be good too, winning him a board seat or something.
A favorite part of the return for me was seeing Theo. I forgot how much I enjoy his character, and the little mannerisms that I find unique and endearing.
I missed him too .He is very entertaining
If you put a long beard on George he would look like Santa…He has that face.
