What happened to Tara’s parental rights? Just gone with everything else in her life I suppose. The evil woman cheated on her husband and must be punished. Legacy characters Kyle and Summer must have a happy ending with no consequences for anything they ever do, including getting custody of the child Tara raised since birth. Don’t worry Harrison—a little gelato and you’ll forget all about your mother. Just ask Grandpa Jack. That’s how it goes with the rich and blameless.

These storylines have gone off into a number of unfortunate directions. They need to reintroduce the Lockes once more as the Loch Ness Monsters they were reputed to be. Tara desperately needs to retrieve her rightful place as Harrison’s mother. Ashland has to expose the tomfoolery that is his prospective nuptials to Victoria. Victoria needs to be shown the how gullible she was giving in to Ashland. Billy has to return to Lily and forego forever any thought of reconciliation with Victoria because we all know that reconciliation only leads to recriminations, vilifications and renunciations One fortunate aspect of this… Read more »

Right??? Harrison could be with Tara as she’s supposedly out on bail. Surely she could have stopped Harrison’s move to Milan. Or did she give that OK and I missed it? I do miss things sometimes when I fast forward through boring (or irritating!) scenes lol.

I’ve seen some speculation that Ashland is not sick, but actually broke. His initial sale of his media division, fake illness, quick merger with Newman, sale of his properties—all due to his company being about to go bankrupt. Perhaps he truly fell in love with Victoria along the way? Will she ever believe him if that’s how it all happened? It doesn’t really make sense as Newman attorneys would have done their due diligence and seen that Locke’s company was in dire straits. Maybe they are making it up as they go along after the exits of Summer and Kyle.… Read more »

That would be a really juicy twist, I love it!

You’re right re: due diligence. Perhaps the Newman companies need Fenmore’s accountants and attorneys who wouldn’t pursue Tara’s business w/out the proper documentations. While I’ll take any Ashland deception twist at this point, I hope it doesn’t eventually result in Victoria forgiving Ashland (for whatever) on his deathbed. I remember the Richard Burgi on “Desperate Housewives” playing a rather comedic scoundrel. I’d much rather see Ashland being gleeful and dastardly, versus glum and desperate. And noooo to the dying, regardless.

Wow, it took 2 decades but it finally happened. I have compassion….FOR PHYLLIS! At the age of 4, my son, Isaiah wanted to be a Marine. He would grow up telling me that he was born to serve his country. Last October, he left home for boot camp. It was the hardest time in my life. Saying goodbye to my baby. Yeah, I knew it wouldn’t be easy. But during that time I received the exact same advice Phyllis did. We raised strong kids. I lost it this week, when Phyllis sent the portrait of her holding baby Summer. When… Read more »

Kisha—you have a lot to be proud of! Being a Marine is a far cry from a cushy job in Italy. Phyllis could easily relocate to Milan to be near Summer if she wanted to, but missing her daughter rings true. It’s is a reality most of us face eventually as parents. All the very best to you and your son going forward.

Congratulations to your son for living his dream and serving our country. And to you for being a strong mother and letting him go be a marine. Wow. My next door neighbor is a new marine and he just came back from 3 weeks of sleeping in the desert and specialized training. His skin was so burned up from the hot sun. There’s so much these men and women in service go through and sacrifice for our country. My deepest gratitude goes out to them and their families. As for Phyllis, I don’t have much sympathy for her. She can… Read more »

Everytime Phyllis starts talking about her daughter, I ask my family. “I’m not THAT bad, right?” When it comes to Phyllis I wonder if this is why Daniel lest GC and never looked back!

Kisha, THANK YOU for sharing your story and your son’s accomplishment. He sounds like a very special young man, and THANK YOU to him also for his service. I can tell how fiercely proud and thankful you are for being his mom. And I’m betting Lance Corporal Price is pretty proud and thankful for you being his mom as well.

You guys are awesome!!! Thank you so much! Isaiah surprised me 2 weeks ago at my job. He showed up with roses in his dress blues! He has leave for 2 weeks so for now it feels amazing to have a full house again. Now that he’s home, I just find myself looking at him and thinking “I did that”. No matter how old they get he’s still my baby!

Kisha, you’re son sounds like an amazing young man, he knew so early what he dreamed of for his future and made it happen. On top of that, he’s a hero that went into the Marines to serve and defend our country. I have deep admiration for your son as well as you ma’am! I can only imagine how his surprise visit to your work felt, all decked out in his dress blues with an arm full of roses for his fabulous, supportive, proud, badass Mom. I teared up reading your post, and a little bit as I’m typing right… Read more »

Lady, I’ll admit over the years I tried HARD to convince Isaiah to go in another direction. Consider college or a trade school. He would always give me that same soft smile and say, “Mama, we talked about this, I’m going into the Marines first”. I asked God to take the wheel a LONG time ago with that one. Our kids these days are so resilient and brave. They are ready for anything because we tell them they can do anything. Your babygirl has that same hunger. You got this Mama. Just love her, support her and make sure she… Read more »

Kisha, your surprise visit story just made my day! (Not as much as it made yours, though!) Love, laughter, and tears – being a parent is just a lifelong, bittersweet journey, isn’t it? Wouldn’t miss it for anything.

Thank you! My kids are grown now. A parents job is NEVER done. The moment they turn 18 its a brand new chapter for us! We are all learning as we go!

i’m totally creeped out by the ghost-like covered camera in Mariah’s room… as if she wouldn’t have nightmares already, now that apparition appears to float up there?! Yikes, take that draped cloth down and find some other way to block the camera- smear some butter on it or something! But despite the ghoulish distraction, I DID notice Mariah’s wavy hair has been looking especially pretty!

Jack handing his grandson a passport for Zippy makes up for all the months he was being an idiot.

And there are a certainly a lot hints at him and Phyllis reuniting. I wouldn’t be opposed to that, but would rather see him and Gloria have another go at it!

Yeah, Jack’s Zippy thing was cute, but I couldn’t help feeling it was rather self-serving. Like Harrison could have any clue what it means or why he should prize it – even after a lovely lesson from Grandpa Jack. But Jack meant well… and probably feels helpless knowing there’s no win-win scenario for little H.

On Friday’s show, Devon says Mariah is in her third trimester. How is that even possible? Are embryos being SORASes now?

Where is Christian? NIck doesn’t even mention him. It’s easy to forget that he even has a son. We need some scenes with him again. Also, Phyllis keeps mentioning how said she is Summer left town but never talks about Daniel or her granddaughter. It would be nice if we saw Phyllis facetiming with Daniel and Lucy or at least mention it to make it realistic. If the characters are going to have kids, they need to be acknowledged as the audience doesn’t forget.

Yes—the forgotten children of YR—Christian, Daniel, Lucy and our favorite—Keemo. I’m sure there are others too. Forgotten or rarely mentioned like Maddie and Charlie.

Has Abby, Tessa or Rey considered searching the mansion? It’s huge! Why not start there? Has anyone even checked all of the rooms. Why do they assume that she can’t be locked in there? There has been no mention of searching the home. They all should be calling out and checking out every nook and cranny of the mausoleum(as Jill would call it) Get on it Rey!

Sharon is the fastest texter I have ever seen! She told Abby and Tessa all of the things she wanted to say to Mariah and then somehow texted all of those words in seconds! lol.. it’s these unrealistic scenes that can be irritating as they are so blatantly phony.

I can see it so clearly………Chloe is gonna snap again and return to her old obsession of irrationally blaming Adam for every evil this world has endured, and making him pay………for crap he never did. Sally on the other hand, will be running the fashion platform at Newman Media in no time flat.

This is becoming like the famous kidnapping of the Lindbergh baby as told by Devon to Thelma Hopkins. I expect her to burst into a chorus of Tie A Yellow Ribbon Round The Ole Oak Tree in response.

Y&R should indicate or show that there is a bathroom off Mariah’s secret room and if Mariah has a full wardrobe of clothes as Sharod says why make it so confusing to the audience by having everything look identical from day to day? Here is Mariah in brown. Here is Mariah in golden rust. Here’s another new streach knitted outfit in fall harvest. What gives?
If there is a bathroom perhaps Mariah and the baby can hurl themselves from it’s open frosted pane window. (Not likely)
