Although I never liked them before I now see Summer & Kyle as the ultimate in young love.

Well, it seems that the Y&R will be “Killing 2 birds with one stone.” Kyle & Summer” will make a life together in Italy. As for Harrison, I can only assume that the writers will work out a storyline that will have him end up there as well,..”and baby makes 3.”
Either they will bring Harrison to Milan or the Abbotts will find out that Kyle isn’t the father. Now that Tara is in jail what about Ashland? He was Harrison’s father all his life maybe he will fight to get him back.

Please Y & R do not let Chelsea kidnap and run away with Connor….Again . Tara got what she asked for and I tried o like her and Sal. Aside of that I think Naya eventually will overcome the good faithful daughter issue and see through Sutton. Not sure what will hapeen to Sally but I think sh’e will perhaps be forgiven? Hmm…
Sally will be blamed for the whole Summer thing, No one will forgive her. She has lost Jack. Maybe Sally will go after Nick and once a cheater always a cheater. Maybe Phyllis will end up with Jack again

If the abrupt end to Tara’s reign of terror was brought on by Summer & Kyle leaving Y&R, what do Chatters think the original plan was bringing Ashland and Tara to GC.
The original plan was to cause havoc on The Abbotts and The Newmans. Regarding business deals. Jack and Victor was suppose to work together to then bring Ashland Locke down. You know the man the had called The Loch Ness Monster.
It is amazing how a storyline had to change because Y&R, apparently didn’t want to show them the money. Them being Hunter and Michael.
While I wish H.King and M. Mealor would remain on YnR, I understand a show’s not buckling under an actor’s salary demands- if that’s the actual story -who really knows, despite what the internet “says.” I doubt many viewers will abandon the show due to losing Summer and Kyle, and shows can pluck from soooo many talented actors to fill their casts. Overall, I will miss their S+K, but am happily over the young(er) love angst.
I don’t have an answer but feel the Locke’s were interesting as they could have gone a million different ways. Did Y&R make it up as they went along? I remember posting that Tara Locke was so bloodless and evil that Y&R must never soften her and that she would eventually have to leave the show. Today I feel she is one of those duplicitous shady types who could become a Y&R staple and stay around forever. I think her enigmatic presence made her a great villain. Love to hate her! But is she gone for good? Sage non professionals… Read more »
Tara had no where to go after Kyle and Summer reunite, that’s why she was arrested and taken out of the picture., but Ashland will marry Victoria ,survive his terminal illness and take over Newman Enterprises . Was his plan all along no doubt
Just catching up with the episodes. Either Ashland is playing games with Victoria or he’s really fallen in love with her. Now, I can’t tell. But that sudden proposal was…sudden. And I’m happy that Phyllis exposed Sally and Summer confessed. Also, I guess I’m watching B&B too, Sheila is Finn’s mother! Haven’t watched B&B for a long time.
Agree about Ashland hard to tell if he is sincere about loving Victoria or just wants access to Newman. Was glad to see Tara and Sally go down although I hope they keep Sally around. They need someone like her but they never should have gone up against Phyllis she is the Queen! I watch B&B too Not surprised Sheila is Finn’s mother ,He was too good, something had to change, Maybe Jack Finnegan is his real father. He knows something

I don’t think I’ve turned on a character as fast as I’ve turned on Phyllis. I can’t even watch her lately. She used to be one of my favorite characters and now she just stays in everyone else’s business. Can we get Phyllis a hobby or a life of her own?
Just look at her expression in Ali’s screen cap. Really? At her age and place in life, this is where her self-worth is? What’s next after she harvests all of the “you were rights” from the adoring GC do-dos? There’s no yearbook to sign with hearts and smiley faces. Maybe she’ll get a plaque in Chancellor Park. From herself.
I don’t want to be bored by her getting a life when she is more intertaining in others

Clearly Rey has kidnapped Mariah on a tip from Chance Chancellor via Christine to keep her safe, but it is never a good idea to terrorize a pregnant woman, or any woman.
You’d think Abby would be the one to be in peril.
This would be too bizarre. There must be a twist because Mariah should be in on it. Thinking your kidnapped would mess with your mind. Mariah is hanging on by a thread now.
Never thought of Rey being involved. I think Nina has her in the soundproof room in the mansion

Out of the blue, Tara is carted off due to committing fraud. What a random, abrupt end (I guess it’s the end?) to Tara’s duplicities. Where did all of this come from? Unless I missed something, Tara’s financials were never even alluded to until this week when Lauren asked for documents? So hard to swallow… confirmation of Tara’s white-collar book-cooking would have taken some time and investigation beyond the all-mighty Phyllis proclamation. And suddenly Lauren is puffed up and spouting her legal righteousness? Will the GC Keystone Cops find anything illegal in Phyllis’ shenanigans? YnR so missed the boat by… Read more »
So as another chatter was asking, is this the end of Tara? For now Harrison IS Kyle’s son? Kyle will take Harry (HA!) out of Jacks’s arms and off to Italy where he, Summer and H will, for the immediate future, live happily ever after? What about Ashland’s rights? And wait til Ash hears about all this! Given the person Tara has pretended to be this is such an embarrassment for her! Was that time travel scene at the close of the episode really real? Wow. For all the terrible things I have said about Summer it was so heartwarming… Read more »
For a man who is supposedly dying, and is also supposedly a devoted father, Ashland isn’t prioritizing much time to spend with Harrison. Tara’s arrest just shuffles Harrison’s full-time care to someone else, and me thinks it won’t be to Ashland in his and Victoria’s death home/love nest. As long as Ashland pays the nanny and the Abbotts allow Harrison and said nanny to stay in the mansion, I doubt Harrison is going anywhere. What doesn’t reconcile yet- is Kyle leaving the boy behind? Or taking him away from Ashland and besotted Grandpa Jack? Or the other possible conundrum is… Read more »
I could actually see Kyle taking Harrison from Jack with Jack’s blessings in the moment, but being less willing to take him from Ashland in his dying days.
I liked it very much as I didn’t want to see Summer start up with that, ‘Kyle, you shouldn’t have come’ knoble crap that isn’t right for her personality.

Hey gang, what if this episode is all a dream Phyllis dreamt up while languishing in a GCPD jail cell. She got arrested by Rey after her attempt to hack into Tara’s computer was foiled by Tara’s customized, state-of-the-art, firewalls.
Lol- as randomly plausible as anything else concocted in this story.

I rarely fast forward through anything on YR. Phyllis was just unwatchable for me this week. Her self-aggrandizement is gross—and now they are moving her on to Amanda’s story? Like Amanda can’t handle her own business? Please, give me a break.
M. Stafford is so good. And yes, Phyllis is becoming more and more unlikeable… certainly not a “gracious” winner of a battle that was never her fight to begin with.
Ellen, I don’t remember your general thoughts on Phyllis but feel the exact opposite. I have always been so irriated by her but now I can’t get enough of Phyllis’ hogging of every situation where she doesn’t belong and making me smile with her crafty butt in machinations. So amusing. So irrepressible. I was grinning from ear to ear to see her get her due of appreciation on yesterday’s episode where all were tripping over themselves in gratitude and paying homage to her. FUN.

Ok. Ellen, hang on to your seat. Victor offers Rey a job. Rey telling Sharon he looked into things,(unofficially) but found nothing. And next week’s preview, having Rey saying that people don’t want to be found, regarding Mariah. I think Rey may have something to do with her being held captive. Could it be, he does take Victor’s job offer and it is Victor that took Mariah, because he wants to protect The Abbott-Newman-Chancellor Baby. You know Victor, everything he does, he justifies, it is for family. This baby, is his grandson. And now, Victor wants Rey to be the… Read more »
Yes as soon as Rey wasn’t really wiling to find Mariah and then made the comment he did about people not wanting to be found, did it for me. I never would have thought Victor had anything to do with this. As you said, the baby is Victor’s grandson. Good connection!
Victor behind Mariah”s kidnapping, another good theory

YR sure wants to punish this woman who had an extramarital affair. That is her great sin. She went through with the pregnancy with Harrison and yes, hid the paternity, but this happens and life goes on in many cases. But for this great sin, Tara must lose everything. Her husband, her home, her business, her freedom, and her son. Ashland and Kyle will keep everything and gloat over the fallen woman’s demise. Stepping out of line sexually is fine for men, but women must be severely punished. That’s the message I’m getting here. And if a woman dares to… Read more »
The Scarlet Letter. If Phyllis had her way, evil adultress Tara would be paraded through town and shamed like no other. And bonus! shamed for all of her other horrid sins as well (while all the GC women shrink into the shadows, fervently hoping to escape “sin call-out”). But Phyllis, eh, her few “missteps”- past and present? Well… really, the rules don’t apply to HER… forget those minor details, who cares about all of that? MOTHER OF THE CENTURY PHYLLIS has freed her persecuted Summer from Kyle-less Hell! All hail Can-do-no-wrong Phyllis! It’s all kinda barfy.
Adulterous behavior and baby shenanigans are not the reasons Tara was undone and judged so harshly. GC is full of folks who have pulled similar crap. Even my girl Phyllis recognized and acknowledged her shady past and how she used to be. The irony of herself protecting her daughter and her friends from two predatory, manipulative, schemers was never lost on Phyllis. She went after Tara and Sally because they targeted Summer and Jack, plain and simple. After all the pain Phyllis has caused Jack over the years, I think guilt and a desire to atone for her wrongs of… Read more »

I say run Connor & Harrison out of town while jacking up Johnny’s air time. That kid is finally getting it together.

I do think H.King is the real gem. M.Mealor, darling to be sure, plays hunky and earnest a bit histrionic at times. White Knight Kyle to the rescue.
Sorry to see them go, because they were a good addition to the younger set, Y&R will have to age more of the kids to make up the loss

This is a GREAT question. I would love to know the answer!
Best line of the week: Thank you Red. I owe you an apology.
LOVED seeing Tara get busted. And cool that Sally may move over to Newman. I was thinking Sally or Tara would be a fun pairing with Adam!
