It may appear that Y&R is rewriting history….Summer adopted Harrison in Italy??? When did Tara sign away her parental rights??? Her incarceration or crime committed did not rise to the level of taking those rights away so how is the adoption possible…..sloppy rewrite if I can say so!! Y&R, please hurry and end this madness between Kyle and Summer over Harrison!!
I seem to remember from some long ago conversation between Kyle and Summer that Summer had adopted Harrison? Regardless, imho, who cares about Tara at this point? I’m not on board seeing her as a good mother… embezzling/setting yourself up for possible prison time does not a good mother make. Tara favored money over possible separation from her child… but, ‘good parenting’ is subjective measured by what is considered ‘abuse’ or not, I suppose. That said, I really want Tara back on the show: love the actress and there’d be some juicy story! And in the soapy spirit, I’d happily… Read more »
Bad mothers and fathers are all over Genoa City….Diane abandonment….Victor uses children like pawn on a chess board….Phyllis “quilting” children to keep her secret regarding her death or other selfish reasons….Chelsea/Billy having mental breaks choosing destructive remedies that will be badly received by their children/family….yet all of them in GC are just as self-centered as Tara yet still have their rights intact. I cannot say that they are truly “bad” parents no more than Tara for iirc, Harrison never felt unloved or neglected. Tara may have “personal” ambition or desires but not at the failure to care for her son.… Read more »
By GC standards measured against most residents, Tara is a fantastic parent, lol. But MY very judgey judgement judges each person on his or her own merit, not as compared to others. So… I decree Tara a lousy parent!
You bring up some good points. If we are going to go down the list of how a parents actions affect their children. Neil kidnapped Hilary, Nick cheated on Sharon while he was married with a family. several characters abused substances, (Katherine, Nikki, Neil, Jack) Jill was not the best mother as she hardly spent time with Billy. He was shipped off to boarding school (as are many) and has always stated she wasn’t the best mother. Even Kyle had expressed his resentment towards Jack for the same reason when he was a kid. He came back to Genoa City… Read more »

As horrible and heartwrenching as the impending custody battle may be, I’m really enjoying Kyle and Summer’s scenes. The 2 actors really play off each other so well and they are so believable. I’m really hoping all this eventually leads to a reunion in 2025…but not before Kyle hooks up with Claire and then breaks her heart! (And then Claire can lose her doe-eyed innocence and toughen up!)
I really enjoy Kyle and Summer, also. And Claire as well. All as played by the top-noth actors. (And actresses, lol.)

I can’t help but find that Devon and Lily are being hypocrites when they consistently talk about how Billy is destined to fail just as he always does. Yes Billy has made some bad choices in the past such as losing Jaboat in a gambling debt. ( Y&R has seemed to have forgotten all about Jaboat) Devon has a lot of nerve when he slept with his blind father’s wife and has cheated on more than one occasion on his girlfriends. The same goes for Lily. She turned her head sideways for several seconds while driving and accidently killed her… Read more »

I am sorry to all of the Claire fans but I can’t help but find her character to be rather irritating… One thing that bothers me is whenever Kyle and Summer are having an argument Claire just stands there and watches. She may leave the room for a brief moment but is always very quick to return so as not to miss anything it seems. It always surprises me that Claire doesn’t feel awkward or uncomfortable being in the middle of Kyle and Summer’s arguments. I can tell by the look on Claire’s face, that she seems to truly enjoy… Read more »

Rarely does someone like Diane have the late opportunity to get it all out as she was able to do with Phyllis today. When Jack said to Diane, “That was appalling” I was thinking to myself he better not be referring to Diane, and he wasn’t. Everybody tries to put Diane in the position of defending herself so they can say, ‘See, she hasn’t changed – she’s spiteful’, but Diane remains on top and true to the new vision she has for herself. Phyllis is on this new kick of wanting her recent bad past to go away and to… Read more »

Pretty cunning of Victor to sit there as Summer lists all the reasons Kyle has gone off the rails. Victor knows he was the catalyst for this collision. Curious how Victor “handled” it.

Yes, Summer. Audra is just dying to step in and be a mother to ytour son, Harrison Locke. Who else has observed this?
lol…it is pretty funny when Summer and Phyllis keep mentioning about how they don’t want Audra near Harrison. I am sure that Audra feels the exact same way! I doubt she wants to spend any time with someone else’s bratty kid. Audra is all about business and pleasure. Somehow I don’t think Audra feels like spending time with Harrison is a “good time”. We know what Audra does for pleasure, and it certainly isn’t spending time with children.
Incorporating those two seems very awkward, but then I guess Danny has a pass to any soap as a popular entertainment performer. He could swing it in Salem. (Is the soap where it is Salem still on TV?) Hope the put upon Cricket is having the time of her life, but you have to wonder how such a serious, purposeful person can make the groupie experience last? Of course she has a special in.
I agree on the awkward assessment. Just SILLY, imho. BnB has enough great stuff going on w/out plunking in some random performance by Danny (or anyone). And anyway, nothing or no one could hold a candle to the late, great Tom’s last performance! LOL. (And in the same lol vein, I still have trouble buying Danny Romalotti as a world-wide ‘superstar’…)
Well, someone has said it. There is a bit of mockery in Danny as a global superstar but I am happy-ish to go with the flow, and at least he has kept up with it, true to his nature and never say die. In Sharod’s birthday week, sadly I can’t say the same for Tessa Porter. A bug in her throat, you say?
coulld have barfed over the cuteness of those non-sprinkles.

Fashion shout out: Off the shoulder wins for Summer’s blue jean outfit and Abby’s pink dress with pleats. The clothes are beautiful, but they also define the character’s mood and set the scene. Abby is definitely dressed for a romantic proposal of marriage.

When Connor wanted to know what Chelsea felt guilty about she made the perfect casual leap to, “Oh, honey, its a work thing”. Too bad she could make the same transition when the nosey Billy went snooping –

Yes, Summer. Audra is just dying to step in and be a mother to ytour son, Harrison Locke. Who else has observed this?
Pretty far-fetched idea. Audra would prefer to warm her nest with a big paycheck and notoriety.
lol…it is pretty funny when Summer and Phyllis keep mentioning about how they don’t want Audra near Harrison. I am sure that Audra feels the exact same way! Sidenote: I am not saying that Harrison is a bratty kid, but that Audra would definitely feel that way.
FYI…Danny and Cricket are appearing on The Bold and The Beautiful next week. Sneak peek showed Danny singing.

There have been several crossover characters on B&B and Y&R. That is why I began watching both. Sally,Lauren, Ester, Danny, and Cricket.
I had no idea that Ester ever crossed over onto B&B. I have to look into more on this as I find it interesting.
Her appearance was fairly recent. She went with Lauren for the big fashion show/showdown between Ridge and Eric.

I’m looking forward to seeing them and my only criticism is I wish it had happened in Paris, when they visited Traci.
That would stand to better reason than crossing over w/the Forresters and Logans!
Details matter….no one gives a child dairy ice cream, with or without sprinkles, the day after he has been sick with food poisoning.

Down with BILLY BOY !
I think you have arrived at the perfect position for your birthday
Would like to see Summer forced to pay Kyle’s legal expences for bringing this to court
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HENRY
Thanks Gary! 🙂
