I voted for Crimson Lights. It’s fun, cozy. The decor is just right, especially the XMAS Cups

Did anybody else catch the Daytime Emmys? Seems like Y&R didn’t do so well – only taking home the award for Best Writing Team.

BUT, what floors me is that Jaqueline Wood, who plays Steffi on B&B won Best Actress when our very own Sharon Case, Melissa Claire Egan, and Michelle Stafford were all nominated! You could see the surprise on Melissa and Michelle’s faces. So disappointing.

Didn’t see The Daytime Emmys, but do think that J.Wood is a fantastic actress w/the uncanny ability, like most amazing Daytime actresses, to effortlessly bring any – even the most preposterous – dialogue and storyline to very believable life. Kudos to all nominated as well as those not. ‘Best’ awards often seem so hollow to me… and certainly ‘not inclusive!’ In today’s climate – how about ‘Participation’ awards, like are the current rage in Youth sports, lol? (JOKING – I fully understand the driving force behind the Hollyweird award drivel…)

And Congrats to the YnR Writing team! I love the show and choose to enjoy what the writers DO rather than focus on what they don’t. Not my privilege to have the job…

IF YOU are fortunate to have Paramount Plus (Paramount +) you can watch the Daytime Emma’s there. I did and it’s worth it to me to pay a little extra in the subscription for the “commercial free package”. It was a good show.

Yes, so happy the regular free TV broadcasted it, and since it was on CBS even better.

I did see the Awards. GH had a lot of wins too . Y&R should have won more

I wish they would have at least sent Victor out of town. It’s seems totally out of character that the “great Victor Newman,” also known for being a control freak and having family members tailed, HAS NO CLUE that Nikki is drinking again.

I am glad to see that Nate is the one to pick up on it and tell Victor. At least they won’t be hostile to him anymore, which was already bordering on ridiculous.

victor more than anyone should have noticed that Nikki is drinking again. he is too busy trying to find Jordan to notice.

Ali, can the quote of the week be “Sex makes me think more clearly.”

And we thought vamps were a thing of the past!

What is wrong with Tucker? He may entertain his audience with cleaver bits, but his curious revenge storylines (?) are wacked. Is he still mad because the Abbott clan didn’t support his courtship of Ashley? He needs to just start over. Not say he is starting over while secretly lapsing into a new scheme. Tucker is much a do about nothing. The latest is he wants the ingredients to a new Jabot eye cream beating them out of their own product to international success. Give it up.

Now that you mention it, I can see that Tucker really has becme some “white noise”…

Tucker needs to give it up, Jack and Diane are going to bring him down, starting with using Ashley and Kyle working on Audra and Tucker. They are both opportunists.

Advice to anyone planning to binge December 11-15 this weekend: Buy a large bottle of vodka, and have a shot every time someone says “that woman”. You will not be operating a motor vehicle afterwards!! Seriously, alcohol abuse is a very painful subject. I’ve always found Nikki’s struggles with alcoholism to be very gripping and intense viewing. We’re used to seeing her with her nose in the air, judging others, but now we see the darkness of her psyche, and her shame. I remember when Nikki first abused alcohol – she had a bad fall from a horse and drank,… Read more »

I’m hoping Nikki can come to grips with her drinking sooner than later. She was 5 years sober, it was awful how Jordan and Claire gave her vodka in an IV and she started drinking again. I don’t think Victor realizes how awful it was.

Good to see Sally and facial hair for one day Adam Newman on the social scene.Feels like they slept together eons ago to satisfactory results but we have hardly seen them since. This is called ‘taking it slow.

It would be better if it was Stevie. Aunt Jorden took a page out of the Phyllis playbook to realize she can best hide in plain sight right under everyone’s nose at The Authletic Club!

ELLEN, you must have gotten a kick out of gun shooter Chloe Mitchell today making a bee-line to Nick Newman at Crimson to try and rope him back in to Sally. “Adam is pulling her back into his evil vortex”, she says. What is the definition of “vortex”, but I get the idea. Oh, brother. Crimson looks great for X-mas Kind of redneck and county. This is what Ester Valentine has done with the place?

I’m loving the way Danny is trying to give Phyllis a chance to continue to better herself! He told Christine that she really is trying so hard to be a better person. He reminded her that they share a child together. (Would any chatters accept having Christine become the “bad one”? Phyllis could continue to show her new and improved personality to “all” of Genoa City; while Christine becomes a loose cannon: vindictive, manipulative, and “Crazy”!!) From Christine’s “icy stare” through Society’s window; her jealousy could bring on quite a fire storm!

Sally and Adam both looked really happy today at their lunch date. Talking about living for today and in the moment instead of looking backwards or forwards! Really liked that! Writers: take a chance and give them a romance like Billy and Chelsea have. Sally and Adam really do need each other—they are so much alike—free spirits, but both with a longing for someone special to accept them the way they are without any makeovers!

Aunt Jordan played off her arrival at the Athletic Club with ease! Wearing a light colored coat; and carrying off a hairstyle that looked quite similar to Summer’s from the back. Looks as if she will have a front row seat to the comings and goings of “all” Newmans!

Do we want a cat fight over Daniel? Christine and Phyllis have daggers in their eyes and I found it quite funny. This plot should give us some great flashback scenes.

I’m completely on board with the romantic match up between Daniel and Lily. However, the scene between Daniel and Heather at Society on Wednesday was a great scene!

Heather is certainly sending lots of signals that she wants Daniel back! It’s fun to watch her flip that beautiful hair back and lean in towards Daniel. It’s also fun to see the slight fear in Daniel’s eyes! He’s no fool and I’m sure he’s aware she’s interested. He probably is thinking things might get a little tricky balancing a strictly friends relationship with Heather. He needs to send an SOS to lily.

I believe Heather is the one who ended the marriage w/Daniel? So it stands to reason he may have never stopped loving her? Idk, per usual, I can’t recall the details as they were laid out, so I’ll go w/whatever Daniel is supposedly feeling these days – if he himself even knows, lol.

I didn’t think Heather and Daniel were ever married. I personally never cared for Heather in any iteration and care even less about Heather and Daniel. Most of their romance was off screen so I have no connection to them possibly getting back together.

What a clever idea for the perfect Christmas gift for your high-powered executive. A black alligator purse with a matching black flask. Your high-powered executive won’t go anywhere without it. If you’re looking for a lower-priced item, a shopping tote and a clear bottle of vodka can be a great substitute. Happy guzzling.
