Love the Christmas scenes at Sharon’s house. Sharon looks well, thanks to getting rid of that dark eye shadow. BUT why isn’t Nick at home with his son, Christian?

Friday was a strange show for me. That whole Count of Monte Cristo stuff was bizarre. I feel like all we really got new on Friday is confirmation that Adam will move into the old new ranch. And I have to agree with one of the Chatters, everything going well for Cole does feel like he’s about to be leaving the show in a tragic way.

The best part was seeing Niki looking beyond outstanding in next weeks preview! And Tessa has been drugged then fell into Ian’s arms! That can’t go well.

My eyes deceived me! I thought it was Claire collapsing into Ian’s arms.

It was good to see Connor looking happy and healthy, but the reindeer scarf was a bit confusing. Adam and Chelsea forcing him to wear a winter scarf that he doesn’t like and not allowing him to take it off in the house didn’t make sense. As parents, they ignored so many odd and dangerous behaviors because of the OCD, but chose to be disciplinarians over a scarf.

I think the writers were trying to write a relatable moment. Chelsea unaware her “little man” is outgrowing “cute” scarves. Connor seemed cheerful and cooperative about the scarf he didn’t want to wear. OCD Connor would avoid eye contact and have sad facial expression. Maybe the writers are writing Connor to show how well he is managing his OCD. I don’t know if this is realistic, seems miraculous from where he was barely able to cope a few months ago.

Lauren says Nikki is waiting for the other shoe to drop and so am I. Claire’s life is just too perfect. Victor is asking Chelsea to be part of the family. Nikki is considering being nice to Adam. Cole and Victoria are happy. I just don’t want any characters to meet a tragic fate right now! Ian needs to go away and take Aunt Jordan with him.

Oh no! On next week’s previews, it looks as if Claire has been drugged! (Much the same as she drugged the rest of the Newmans at Aunt Jordan’s cottage). Is it just a coincidence that Claire was just asking Nikki and Lauren at lunch if they ever wanted to just freeze time? She tells them that she would be glad to freeze time at this moment; because she has never been this happy!!

“Run, Forest, run!” came to mind when Victor offered Cole a job. Has the Newman publishing division been mentioned before?

My other soap completely purged Christmas and it was nice to see the decorations still on the Y&R set for New Year’s. They even decorated the tack house for a scene. I loved the one on one with Claire and Cole and I would like to see more of them together. Now, I am wondering if Amelia/Victoria is on vacation or really sick??

“There’s no curse like getting what you want!” The real killer in the room may have done in Heather; but Sharon carted away the body, pretended to mourn at the funeral, and the framed Daniel in order to escape justice. Will this “confederate” just roll over to the GCPD’s intense questioning, or will she take a page out of Sharon’s book? I suspect the “confederate” might not be super into exonerating Sharon. Maybe she will “admit” she befriended Sharon for Ian, then helped Sharon score PCP from a dealer allowing Sharon to commune with her dead daughter Cassie. The Gods… Read more »

I can’t cry if Ian Ward puts Phyllis Summers into the ground freeing her of her community service. Phyllis being a fierce, protective mother does not move me that much, although thanks for being nice to Faith.

Wouldn’t it has been fun to see Christmas morning with Ian and Jordan. I envision a rousing game of poker game using their coal as chips. I’m sure with all the villainy they’ve done, they amassed a great amount of coal in their stockings this year.

I wish we could get a flashback for context.

The classic episode that aired was one of the best I have seen. I wish you could have seen it Ali. It was such a pleasure seeing the old large sets. We saw Danny’s cool apartment and the ranch decorated at Christmas time. We saw the Chancelllor mansion as Gina goes there to tell Brock she is worried about her brother as he had lost his singing voice. Brock goes to visit Danny at his place and gives him a great speech on faith. Brock was a very charismatic character with a great speaking voice as it was very deep.… Read more »

And there was Paul. He is not on the show for “the reason we don’t exactly know.” But he is part of the show’s history, so it is okay to show him. I would, too, like to see Michael Muhney in flashbacks. He is a key character in Sharon’s story, and they insert Mark in some weird fashion. The history of the show is the history of the show, and long-time viewers like all the flashbacks and old characters, even if the actors are not on the show. IT IS ABOUT THE CHARACTERS!

They can’t show Michael Muhney as Adam’s character is no longer being played by him. You are right about the characters but unless the same actor is still playing that character, they cannot show those classic flashbacks. It’s too bad, because as you say, the characters have so much history on the show that we miss out on seeing a lot of it!

Excellent summary! I will rewatch now that I know some of the unknown characters. Thanks!…FYI…my baby sister was blonde as a toddler and turned brunette, but I had that thought as well and assumed it was to have her look more like Nikki.

You’re very welcome Connie. You are right, I am sure they picked a blonde girl to look like Nikki’s daughter. Also, a blonde child can become a brunette. My hair was much lighter as a kid.

Wow! Phyllis mentioned Dylan when listing Sharon’s affiliations with GCPD. is there a possibility he may be brought back to “life”?

Instead of wishing you all Season’s Greetings , I pinned this message on this special day after December 25, which a few friends have reminded me is my Saint’s Day. My parents misspelled my name when I was born, and within days our parish priest insisted my dad go to Vital Statistics to correct this. So I send this special greeting on December 26, which here in Canada is a public holiday is called, to my dismay, Boxing Day. This day does have it’s own Christmas Carol! Well, maybe not a Christmas Carol as it barely mentions Christianity, ignores the… Read more »
