It was a lot of fun watching the classic episodes, The large sets were very visually appealing and a real treat to see. We saw Brad’s large home, Kevin’s apartment and Raul’s home. We also got to see Fenmore’s Boutique and Gina’s huge restaurant both inside and outside after the fire was set. I really loved seeing the gala being held in the ranch out in the stables. I don’t remember ever seeing that before. We saw hay stacks and saddles hung up on the wall. It was so enjoyable to see this set. We also saw inside the house… Read more »
I hope you watched Friday and Monday Y&R. There was more drama in two days than all of 2023. Not one Co-COO, Co-CEO, virtual board meeting was mentioned.
Just like they don’t mention that Adam has saved Faith’s life (which he owed her after switching her at birth)….they never mention that Victor has Colleen’s heart. Just a little interaction–a look or a comment–between Victor and Traci would be heartwarming.

I loved Lauren and Michael’s vow renewal but I initially was annoyed that it was just the Baldwin-Fisher family. Then it occurred to me that they may have been taking COVID precautions for Christian la Blanc, as I’m guessing he’s immuno-compromised due to his health issues right now. Either that or everyone was on vacay.
So glad they could give us this beautiful, heartfelt treat for New Year’s Eve!

Ashley broke my heart on Friday show. I don’t know the story behind her carrying the blanket as her baby but it was very sad to see her in that state of mind. Kevin was totally scary. Nikki was so beautiful and young looking. I loved seeing everyone.
The Ashley/Victor/Nikki triangle (that was key for many years and is a huge part of the eternal, tangled dynamic between those characters) along w/the Adam gas-lighting Ashley stories were much of what drew me in to become a decided Eileen Davidson fan. The last number of years have had some viewers constantly ragging on… how annoying Ashley is… how great Brenda E. was (agreed!)… and how blah-dee-blah whatever negatives E..Davidson’s portrayal is. Idc at all; I ALWAYS love watching the talented and gorgeous E.Davidson ‘do her thing’ – I”m a forever fan, and delight in every one of her YnR… Read more »
I’ve been one of her biggest fans since I first saw her many great acting days on the soap, Santa Barbara. She was awesome there is continues to be awesome now on Y&R.

As I watched Friday’s Episode, which was awesome by the way. It really got my ire up, because even though I am a Kevin Fisher fan, somebody should give Chole a reality check. Her husband raped Lily, burned down Gina’s, while trying to kill Colleen. Yet, she calls Adam evil and unredeemable. The writers really should allow Adam to defend himself.
I’m all for Adam – like most are. But I believe the writers? writer? team? (whomever) knowingly write to elicit viewer reaction… whether developing characters/stories to root for or hate on… as long as audiences stay engaged. I see Adam being written specifically for fans to care about – and Chloe being written specifically for fans to vent about. (But – maybe I give YnR too much credit for ‘method to madness,’ lol. I really have no clue, just mho!)

Friday’s classic episode was more than I could ever hope for!!! spoiler alert, here’s my synopsis: Brittany in her stripper-era saying “Oh Raoul!” Gorgeous Nikki Reed and her Bayou co-worker Bobby the gangster. Young Kevin Fisher setting fire to Gina’s. Colleen in the freezer. JT searching for her. Handsome Michael Baldwin sipping champagne with his party date the blond permed hair young Victoria. MIGUEL in his white uniform at this party at the ranch whipping up a bernaise sauce with fresh tarragon. Teenage Lily asking Neil to trust her when she goes to online chat rooms. Young Diane as gorgeous… Read more »
I have been watching some Facts of Life reruns lately. It hasn’t aired yet but it reminded me that MIchael Damien was on a couple of episodes when the gang go on Spring Break. Michael Damien who is “Flyman: is interested in Jo. He dedicates a song to her. Enjoy the nostalgia..lol
I actually saw that episode today. The song is called “She Is In A Different World”. Jo and Natalie got terrible sun burn from a lamp tanning bed. I still love and relate to The Facts of Life, the same for The Golden Girls. Just good television.
That is so ironic you saw it today! It was a great show then and now.

The Romalotti family has been brought to life with three generations interacting in a normal way. Danny has taken time off from touring to be with family and friends. He acts unspoiled by years of fame. Daniel is a well established artist and is a very normal guy. Heather and Lucy have a healthy relationship. Billy and Victoria had a normal family life years ago when their children were little. I’m glad we have the Romalottis to balance out the Newmans and Abbotts.

I am loving the rivalry love triangle storylines. We have Danny, Christine and Phyllis. Summer, Sharon and Chance. And most recently, Heather, Lily and Daniel. These storylines are quite compelling and fun. I also would love to see Phyllis get together with Tucker. They would be an exciting and dynamic duo who I think would have a lot of chemistry together. Tucker has a lot of chemistry with Audra but we have seen them together several times now. A romance with Phyllis would be fresh and new and would also bring on the drama when Ashley finds out. Ashley doesn’t… Read more »

I enjoyed the Aunt Jordan storyline, but I have to point out some silly things again with the story. When Nikki is at the cabin and she knocks out Jordan with the vodka bottle she doesn’t take the gun. This didn’t make sense. I understand that Claire needed to be the hero, but there are ways to do that and still have the story be realistic and sensible. Nikki could have went to pick up the gun and Jordan have grabbed it first when aunt Jordan regained conscientiousness. Claire could have then attacked Jordan and grabbed the gun from her,… Read more »

Hope you are feeling better Ali. I know just how you feel being sick at Christmas time. I was the same with bronchitis. I didn’t even decorate the tree, it only has lights. I hope we hear a little more about your thoughts about Danny’s robe from Cricket. Apparently it was worn by Bryan Ferry. I looked up who he was as his name was familiar. He sings a song I love called “More than this’.
Wow! I’m pretty far behind storywise, but the Bryan Ferry reference piqued my interest. BF/Roxy Music had quite the presence/following back in day in the British music/party scene… which was before Danny Romalotti’s time and doesn’t seem to me to be anything the GC soapy popboy DR would have cared for – if even having been aware of the artist at all, lol. But oh yeah, DR did become a world-wide sensation (lol again). So sure, as a BF fan, I’ll buy whatever connection YnR is selling… somebody at the show is clearly a fan to have thrown that one… Read more »

I didn’t know Ashley was in a mental hospital. That storyline was obviously before I began watching Y&R. Was she in there after her marriage to Tucker ended; or for a different reason? Also, what do chatters who know about her time in the hospital think about which is the most likely scenario from Paris? Did the breakup happen the way Tucker said it; or was it the way Ashley said it happened?
I wondered if I had confused my characters so looked it up. Here’s what my phone says
Ashley Abbott had a nervous breakdown after having an abortion, ran off to New York City, and lost her memory after she was mugged. She ended up at a mental hospital where Dr. Steven Lassiter was her psychiatrist.
Wasn’t this in the late 80s, I vaguely remember this because I was a young child then. I just remember her being in there and another patient mocking everyone and Victor maybe visiting her or got her out of there.

Loved seeing Heather snuggle up to Daniel on his new sofa!! Glad to see her willing to go after the man she loves! Just wondering if Lily will come home and also be willing to go up against Heather to keep her man!
The man she loves. Rewrite much. Heather dumped Daniel, when he was having a hard time with his job creativity, she was dating a guy in Portugal, about to get engaged, accordingly, when she first appeared on the scene. Lily helped him through that rough patch and now Heather wants the improved version of Daniel. I believe in standing by your partner even through the rough times.
Must say, I am disappointed in Daniel and Danny at this point.
My take on the whole Heather/Daniel break-up was that he was ‘horrible’ to both her and Lucy and ‘drove them away.’ (Whatever that had meant?) I agree w/you re: standing by one’s partner through rough times. But ‘rough times’ (along w/’deal-breakers’) are subjective and circumstance-dependent, I guess… and glaringly so on soaps, lol.
For my understanding he was not horrible to them. He was in a slump work wise, creatively and became depressed and despondent, because Heather’s career was taking off. And she took off to Portugal with Lucy and left Daniel in Savanah. So he came home to Genoa City. But as far as I am concern, all three of them can go back there.
Daniel is his Father’s Son and Heather is just like Daniel’s Mother. Bye, Bye.
I don’t think sueW is completely wrong, I think it did get bad as far as he got mean and probably did push them away, but I agree with you Sharod that Heather maybe could have tried to stick by him and help him but if she needed a break maybe not get with someone else in the meantime. Lily helped him through his struggles and now Heather wants the benefits of better Daniel and willing to steal him from someone else when her other relationship didn’t work out. On a side note, even though I don’t care for the… Read more »
I agree that Heather is willing to step back in. I am disappointed that Daniel didn’t put a stop to Heather always hanging around with him and Lucy. It’s not appropriate unless he is uninvolved.
And oh yeah, then there’s Lucy… not sure how she was treated/considered (or reacted) during her parent’s marriage and break-up… Stay together for Lucy? Follow her wishes? Mom or Dad knows best? Cover up/ignore problems? It never seemed to me that Lucy was resentful of decisions that Heather had made, yet Lucy seemed more upset w/choices Daniel had made. But definitely 3 sides to that whole story…
Yes SueW, your take is correct. Daniel admitted that he mistreated them, took responsibility, and made amends. No spouse should be shamed for removing themselves from an unhealthy living situation!! Heather kept the lines of communication open, nurtured a renewed relationship between Daniel and Lucy, and forgave Daniel. I love this gorgeous actress, and the character too. She is modest and quiet and I find her voice lovely to listen to.

Do any chatters know why Adam and Sally have not had a story for a number of weeks? I know Y&R has been busy with many other stories. And, of course, many people on vacation for Christmas and New Years. But I had read Courtney Hope was in a car accident and was recuperating with family over the Holidays. I was just hoping she was doing ok!!
Yes, Because it has been The Newman Show. In particular for Nikki Newman. Josh Griffith is trying to get that woman an Emmy or at least a Nomination for next year. But only because Sharon Case, Melissa Claire Egan and Michelle Stafford were nominees this year, neither of them won. It was actually a huge controversy this year, because most at the event thought that MCE was going to win. Just goes to show.
But 2024 is going to bring good things for Adam and Sally, according to a post by Mark Grossman. So hang in there.
I can back Josh Griffith – would love for MTS to get an Emmy! Sure, I’d applaud such recognition – although I’ll continue to ‘fan-girl’ over the actress AND show regardless of any (or no) accolades. I’m guessing MTS is secure enough w/out awards, but then I suppose an Emmy is def an ‘industry feather in one’s cap,’ (and uh, certainly translates into more dollars… there’s the real ‘woot woot’!) What was the controversy re : MCE? Sour grapes from some?
