How cool would it be (I guess, lol?) to have interactions w/such iconic women be a normal part of one’s everyday life… especially ‘vintage Melody.’ Ahhh… it’s a wonderful life, regardless…
Alright, I’ll be quiet after this because I’m still too far behind… but:
1) Suddenly too many bad hair extensions – ick, what…?? the YnR actresses are all so gorgeous, why the sudden scraggly stuff???
2) Claire’s doe-eyed gaze on Kyle…WOW. SIGH. I’m toast…
3) NICK NEWMAN – HERO. PERIOD.
People say Nick is dumb but he is a hero too. Needs to be reevaluated.
Nick is no dummy (and I can’t see otherwise when caught up in his good-lookin’ charm, lol) so who cares about rocket science or Ivy-league blah-dee-blah?? Give me the stalwart defender of a lady-love (uh, must also have the family money!) ANY day and time over brains… Nick’s a prince who’s got me swooning… (BUT… my current disclaimer if needed: not caught up, lol!!!!)
SueW, when are you going to be catching up? It is already the new year.
Ima getting there! Binge-ing is the best: I love YnR, and o.d.-ing on it is some great down-time! Latest observations: Claire is GORGEOUS…. Period, end, done. Did her corporate make-up enhance or detract? Hmm. And NOT loving her 1st day of work ‘get-up’ (or outfit? as it were…)
And loved Audra’s vulnerability
– seemed real to me? Or she sucked me in… but it’s the 1st time I’m actually connecting to the character past sexy puff-and-fluff. I’m now hoping for some real development past eye candy and business-poser. I’ve always thought the actress is pretty great and needs meatier material. (Again, sorry! I know I’m behind, and this has already prob been covered tenfold!!)
Saw Wicked over the holidays – which I LOVED (albeit I recognize that break-into-song stuff may not be everyone’s cup o’ tea, lol). A few take-aways: I buy into talking animals and winged monkeys for the sake of a story just as I easily accept obvious plot-holes in soaps… I happily surrender to the nonsense and leave cynicsm to real-life, lol. Soaps are JUST fun (IMHO)!
Okay, another take-away: Audra looks like a dark-haired Glinda. (But Audra IS smarter than Glinda). Audra also looks like a dark-haired Gwen Stefani (as seen on The Voice). And I see none of these as bad comparisons… just sayin’…
I am sorry I don’t seem to really have very many positive comments, but I would have thought that when Mariah first saw Ian Ward with Tessa she would have been more surprised. I feel like her reaction wasn’t very climatic. I actually thought at first that Mariah didn’t know who Ian was. I would have thought Mariah would have asked Ian what he was doing there and when did he get out of prison. The music added to the climax but not so much Mariah’s reaction to seeing Ian Ward. Ian’s plan for Mariah is disgusting, but not surprising because both Ian and Jordan are psychopaths. Hopefully, Nick found out she is kidnapped since both him and faith can’t find her. I am glad they went to Victor about this, but confronting Ian and at the ranch is a bad idea. It will traumatize Nikki to see Ian. I hope Tessa gets checked out so that they can find out she was drugged and the police would have reason to arrest Ian. I hope this story will end. That story didn’t interest me in any way. Welp, I’m not caught up, but the Ian/Jordan stuff is already losing my interest. The over-the-top nonsense is wearing thin for me (although the actors each ARE a hoot!) Sigh… YnR, dial back the overkill to have Auntie J. shine in relatable drama other than cringey parody… okay, the murder stuff IS serious, but Ima already over the cult-psycho Ian repeat…
Loving the Y&R drama this holiday season and this story keeps seeming to get juicer. But did anyone else think as these characters were still talking and seeing each other past the New Years countdown that that this would be way past my bedtime. I barely made it to midnight and was cozy at home. Kyle was spending the night with sick Harrison playing video games and after midnight he still was fully daytime dressed in his own house!! I was in my pjs way before midnight at my home!
Tradition has a big party (lol, board games) at my house as we all strive to stay up until midnight… then a toast and straight to bed, lol.
It was chilling how Mariah said she would not be duped by Ian Ward again. Then, the quiver in her voice said otherwise.
Mariah has been through so much with the creepy cult and Ian wanting her as his bride. Then her kidnapping/hostage situation while pregnant with baby Bowie nka Dom. Your point about the quiver in her voice makes me worry for her.
So Friday’s show started well after midnight and everyone in town is still up driving around town, having a drink(s) at the bar, Claire showing up uninvited at the Abbots, etc. How much speed are they on? Sharon is the only one getting any rest. It took a rag of chloroform, rough rope ties, and a duct tape gag, but she’s cutting zzzz’s. Even Victor was up at home. Since Ian is out of jail legitimately, all Nick needs to do is have Michael file a restraining order barring Ian from contacting any family member or visiting any business related… Read more »
Claire lusts for Kyle in every unabashed gaze. The actress is FANTASTIC… as is Michael Mealor, fueling Kyle as driven by his ***, lol. I lovvvve these 2 characters together: but waah, I predict Claire as doomed to heartbreak from an unintentional douche-baggy Kyle, lol… hey, he means well, but wth, it’s in his DNA…

Here she is again in a title a Christmas Pageant. She is very good. We see Devon’s mother, Lily and Cane, Phyllis with Summer when she is a baby, and Nick sitting very far away! Neil and Moses’s mother, and a blonde woman sitting alone that I don’t recognize.
I think that blond woman was Michael Lerned (Olivia on The Waltons). She filled in for somebody but can’t remember who it was. Or I could be totally wrong. I’ll see what my phone says

I am not sure who the little girl as I also found her in another clip I found that I will post. She is great too. We see them standing in front of a curtain that says Jabot. So, Mariah got on her judgmental high horse, when she found out that Tessa was married to Tanner. Accusing the woman of lying and keeping secrets. Even back then I was saying that I don’t recall Mariah telling Tessa about her, albeit disturbing, marriage to Ian Ward. This was finally confirmed on Thursday’s Episode. Also, like Tessa said at the time, there are things in our past that we deemed irrelevant to our current situation or just plain too hard to talk about. Diane and Jack – they make me smile. Diane flirts with Jack mercilessly and he blushes then she giggles with delight. I hope they are together a long time with many of those moments on screen! As compared to Lauren and Michael, whose chemistry seems to be fading. Christine and Danny sparkle when together and she was stunning in that micro mini dress and really, really high heels! She had a little trouble getting up with that short dress!
Happy new year everyone, I am so glad Nick , Mariah and faith did not believe Ian , i hope the cops arrest Ian. Tessa need to go to the hospital so they can see that she was drugged. Oh no poor sharen in the end , hope someone finds sharen. Nice scene with micheal and Diane , also nice scene with Danny and Daniel

Daniel came to the Jazz Lounge hoping to talk to Danny. Danny asks how he’s doing; and Daniel’s response was “not good”. He said he wakes up each day to Heather’s empty side of the bed. I agree. The least Danny could do is cancel his tour and be there for Daniel and Lucy. Danny only planned the tour to get away from Phyllis and Christine fighting over him. Danny should hire his tour bodyguards to help protect Daniel and Lucy. And most importantly stay so he can pass down the making of “the sauce”.
