I voted yes we need other storylines besides corporate ones. It’s enough already

Like a loyal Adam and Sally fan should do; I’m giving them another chance this week. In the previews they mention hitting the reset button. Do you think it’s safe to hold my breath?
Yes Adam always gets the insults and doubts. He needs to do something to help his image. He has done it before. It shouldn’t be necessary, but it is for him. His siblings hate him, just Victor gives him some positive interaction, but even he then takes it away.
I hope so, I always thought they should be together, they are perfect for each other. Sally didn’t work with Nick, and Adam didn’t even look at another woman, he loves Sally. Let them have their time together.

Tucker tells Nate that he and Audra are putting together a team of people not afraid to get their hands dirty. Tucker stays so calm and collected whenever he is proposing something sinister to anyone he approaches for help! I would always want to be on his good side! LOL

I enjoyed every scene in Friday’s show. I haven’t been that interested in seeing Danny and Christine romance BUT my heart skipped when Danny drew Christine close for that dance. The way he held her was so romantic!
There is something sweet about a couple with such a long history. Plus Christine is recovering from a broken heart—we know she loved Paul very much but it didn’t last. And Danny has probably been lonely living the touring musician life (is that what he has been doing????). It is kind of touching. And then there’s PHYLLIS. Really? Is this the best story they have for her? Jealous, petty, interfering Phyllis? Nooooooooooooo.

Phyllis looks great with the new darker hair color. Also loved her sheer boredom drinking alone, texting people to join her.
I loved the scene where Daniel is laughing at his dad’s “we kissed” reveal!

Ali, I agree with Dianna about last Sunday’s podcast. Your top ten was brilliant!! Thanks!

Phyllis mentioned to Michael that Christine and Diane are both being given second chances but why can’t she. Christine has never done anything for Phyllis to feel this way. I wonder why Phyllis is categorizing Christine with Diane when it comes to wrongdoings. Christine has always been a goody two shoes.

Ali your commentary was so funny last week regarding Aunt Jordan and the poison water bottles..lol. Your delivery is always so enjoyable. I know I mentioned the storyline had a lot of holes but I enjoyed it very much. It was definitely intriguing and entertaining to watch. A much needed change from business storylines we see all the time. It really felt like the old days watching all of the drama unfold. I appreciate y&R bringing back Cole and giving us this drama.

Nikki’s AA meeting was clearly used with the same set as the Athletic Club. The Club has very distinct walls. It would have given us the feeling that Nikki was actually in a different building if Y&R just put up a different background behind Nikki. Also, didn’t anyone notice Nikki was sitting right in front of the refreshment table. Could she have moved her chair a couple of feet from the table so people could get some food and drinks without her being in the way…lol. Just sayin

Talking to an old 40 year old photo is such a soap classic. She carries that gold framed portrait around in her emergency packing everywhere she goes?
How would she even have access to a wedding photo unless clipped out of the society section of the newspaper! Or possibly this wedding photo came included in the gold frame.

Here’s a question to propose: Does Y&R have an interest in Tucker ‘destroying’ the Abbotts, abiet temporarily, or is it just defeat him before he gets started? This would branch into other storylines as well. Seems in olden days villains had their way, that’s drama & storyline, but today it takes a lot for a baddie to suceed for long. Mostly they just get in a lot of pin pricks along their way. And then. perhaps dead. Cameron Kirsten took action but it was all over in a day(s). What harm did the great Ashland Locke do if you want… Read more »
You are so right. Lots of set up and quickly abandoned stories. No commitment to long story arcs. Some great characters and actors gone too soon! It’s hard to get invested and trust what we are watching—will there be a big change in direction next week? It’s a good thing we are so loyal!

Danny reminds us of The Golden Bachelor, creating the Romalotti secret sauce for one of the ladies vying for his attention. A little jar left behind for the son?

Am I the only one who noticed what a big helping of antidote J. Eddie Peck took from the little bottle leaving little behind for anyone else to save themselves had Grace not run and produced another flask from Aunt Jorden’s stash?
Like Asbestos, will the young Newmans be dead in 30 years from the after effects of having injested this poison?

I want Adam to have more to do than absorb or deflect insults during his typical day. We cam hold our breath and keep our fingers crossed!

A lasagna date was something different than the usual job shifting
I agree 100%.
