I’m getting turned off by Phyllis’ behavior lately. It’s just every scene Phyllis is in seems over the top, and even a chat with Summer is turns into a side show.

I love Chance’s accent. It sounds southern. I am glad to hear he has decided to stay in town!

I like Chance. Looks like they are shipping him with Abby. Finally she”ll get a decent guy until all his secrets come out. No one is that goody goody

A few weeks ago I saw Christian la Blanc post a photo on Instagram with Lauren and Fenn. Does anyone know if the actor who plays Fenn is returning to the show? I always thought it was a bit odd that he won the Daytime Emmy and then left. If he did return that could be an interesting twist at Jabot. Perhaps he and Theo strike up a friendship, which would drive Kyle nuts!!

I saw a mention of Fenn returning for holidays, as well as Faith.

Will be good to see both Fenn and Faith. Hope same actors are playing them. Faith will be older now . Hope she gets some good story lines. Maybe she can be smitten with Theo!

Didn’t anyone else find it a bit yucky that Victoria kept putting her spoon in Nick’s sundae at Society? lol.. I guess a part of me found it nice to show that they are comfortable doing that as they are family, but at the same time I found it a little annoying. I’m not sure why. Maybe it was the number of times she did it… lol.

I thought it was weird, she had her own but ate almost all of Nick’s

Good, old fashioned identical twin storyline for Amanda Sinclair as we found out she was in care. What’s her real name?

Is it just me or does anyone else notice that Victoria is seen more and more nursing a glass of wine? She comes home from work, and she immediately takes a drink. We see her at Society, she’s sipping on a glass of wine, red seems to be her favorite go to drink. Makes me think of Nikki back in the day. We all know that Billy is…well…Billy. So when Billy Boy crashes and burns, so will Victoria. We saw with JT, Victoria has never been able to handle stress. I wonder if we will see her turn to the… Read more »

That’s an interesting idea, like her mother, becoming an alcoholic, it’s plausible and Billy is in a downward spiral again which is going to add to her stress

Also I find it really difficult to believe that Phyllis and summer are mother and daughter at this point… The Raiders have put it so when her mother is distraught summer does not even offer her a hug or a hug hello like many people greet their moms

Why is Devon jumping to conclusions about Amanda again? He hasn’t even read the info Victor brought him. It’s amazing he held on to his billions as long as he did if this is how he operates. C’mon Devon. Slow down, think, get a few steps ahead of what is happening. Amanda probably erased her history because she is running from a stalker. Or because she’s Hillary and didn’t do well at her shady law school? Or there could be another reason that the writers will dream up on the fly…

As Zoperxplex astutely points up, it would have to be a “shady” law school, (mail order?), where Hillary would have been able to obtain her law degree in the one + year she has been gone. Possibly Colin helped her obtain it… A chattie commented thaty Hillary has been gone 2 years which scared me to watch time fly, but Devon himself pronounced Hillary dead one year + yesterday. A relief. Of Devon’s uncharacteristic rush to judgement (along with giving all his money away too quick), I don’t think Amanda is a baddie as the whole town will incorrectly turn… Read more »

I really don’t like the rewrite of Devon as this hot headed, easily tricked grouch. This isn’t the savvy dynamic young empire builder that Devon used to be. My head is spinning with all the character rewrites this year. #regimechange2020?

Devon was exactly like he is now for most of his time in GC. The savvy cool billionaire has only been around since Kay died.

Completely agree. Calling Devon a “hot headed easily tricked grouch” is the description of the week! (Like Employee of The Month) Moving away from boring, In recent times Devon has come to stand out as this very shinning presence. Wise, kind, intelligent, stellar. Lots of characters are written as such, but Bryton James’ performance reaches beyond the writing to truly project this, and Y&R should not be screwing with his cut above nobility. I wouldn’t say the writing has completely crossed the line, but WATCH IT, Y&R. Don’t mess with Devon!

Exactly… Y&R needs to keep Devon’s personality in line with Neil’s sentimental, wise, caring, introspective, loving, and generous spirit.

Gary and Sandra—I think you have figured it out! It feels disrespectful to Neil’s legacy to have Devon take this turn. Devon is smart and grounded. Yes, he has taken a lot of devastating blows —but that wouldn’t change him at his core. Or if he felt that unmoored he would do what it took to get the right help—professionals, Victor’s mentoring, etc. He is Neil’s son! I agree, don’t mess with that!

Sandra, we are an official couple! Actually, Sandra & Ellen, when I wrote the above I was only thinking about Devon, but right! He would be a big reflection of Neil. Neil molded him into who he is and with not just Neil gone, but Kristoff too, Devon has the big responsibility of honoring both men, here & now, all the time. Phew!
And he is definitely up to the task…

Let’s see—shall we dub you two “Gandra” or “Sandry”? Either way, great minds created synergy and figured out what was bothering me so much about this Devon redo! I appreciate the free therapy—thanks!

Hilary and Amanda are identical twins separated at birth.

Devon and Amanda wind up together (indicated by Devon’s current attack on her).

Nate and Elena become a couple (indicated by Nate’s current crush on Amanda)

What I can’t figure out is Billy’s role

Billy likes Amanda to talk to but this may change because Victoria is spending too much time at Newman and Billy is Mr, Mom , No job or career and not spending enough time with his wife perfect recipe for an affair.

I think it would be a nice touch if Y&R had the characters working out in the new beautiful gym that the Grand Phoenix has to offer. We know there has to be one, but we have yet to see it. We used to see the characters lifting weights and keeping in shape at the Athletic Club. Now all we see is the characters drinking alcohol or sipping on lattes at the coffee house. It would give us a new set while also keeping it realistic. Kyle, Theo and Rey don’t have the physiques they do just from chugging back… Read more »

I really miss the GCAC unisex sauna. As I remember it was the scene where Gloria schmoozed a potential buyer of Fenmore’s and pursued him to back off from buying the department store by describing how unpleasant an experience she had as a customer. Gloria was at her best when she assumed the vixen role.

Hey Ali, I wanted to follow up with my thoughts on Billy and Sharon getting together. I agree, I wouldn’t want to see Sharon doing anything unprofessional in her career such as dating a patient. I thought Sharon counseling Billy would be a good way of bringing Billy and Sharon into the same circle. Billy and Sharon could get together if Billy soon realizes he is attracted to Sharon and decides he wants to go back to his previous counselor. Another scenario is Sharon never has to counsel Billy. She could offer up some friendly advice after running into him… Read more »

I would like them as a couple, but not with any counseling. I think Sharon’s counseling career will be kept to Conner. or maybe a new character that leads to a suspenseful story for her. People do not go to therapists that are i their social circle. That is the point of therapy, to be able to talk to somebody without bias, or having to worry who they will tell. It does not seem likely that the viewers are going with this couple.

Please tomorrow be about the stolen jewels. I could lose interest in the storyline, but don’t want to.

When they drop the storyline or don’t keep the pace up after a major development, it makes me feel like a badminton birdie getting knocked all over the court. There’s a chance I’ll stop caring.

Right now I’d rather hear about the mysterious Amanda Sinclair but with Victor Newman involvement. Please not Elena. She’s too naggy

Mariah warned Lola about Summer going after Kyle. From the direction the show has been taking, Mariah should be warning Kyle about Lola becoming quite chummy with Theo.
