I voted no not to change the name of Chancellor Winters company. Mrs. Chancellor owned it first and Devon is her grandson, Jill is an Abbott but she never wanted to change the name before. This is Billy’s doing. Abbotts have Jabot, don’t need another company.

Between Nikki and Ashley, Jack is going to need to book a room next to Claire’s….
Yes I agree, it’s a lot for Jack to fix. I don’t think Jack should be drinking alcohol and be Nikki’s sponsor. Isn’t that why they got rid of Seth? I know Jack was addicted to pills but it’s still not good for Nikki to see him drinking alcohol.

I CAN NOT BELIEVE the new issue is to tag Abbott onto Chancellor Winters in honor of Jill. How many intense scenes will determine the outcome of this for the fake company? If I started griping about the absurdity of this I would not be able to stop.
I think the writers want us all to stop. Stop Watching that is. This is the drama they decided to give us for February Sweeps. They should have saved Aunt Jordan’s original arrival until now. I am sleepy during these current scenes, unless Audra is on my screen.
I’ll be shocked if Seth buys Jordan’s contrived story of Nikki and she being besties. Her version of Nikki’s road to alcoholism is no where near the truth. Y & R led us to believe Seth has been Nikki’s sponsor for a while. Seth would then know Nikki didn’t have an bestie who partied with her, and then, recovered with her. However, Colleen Zink is being us a watchable moments. Each time she breathes slowly and clearly annunciates, another lie escapes her lips. Love it.
In the end Seth will likely lead to the rescue by more heroic Newmans. In gratitude, will Victor CEO Seth if we can just get him to stop drinking, properly integrating him into the show? I Enjoy someone with a nervous tick who’s words I can barely make out because he has his head down. Seth: A

Question for my fellow chatters: On Friday Ashley admitted to Jack that she was in a minor accident. But when I watched the accident scene; I saw the minor rear end hit. But I thought it also showed a harder side hit!? Was that something that actually happened to Ashley years ago, did I not see it correctly, or is Ashley possibly having a nervous breakdown and making up random events in her wild imagination?
GREAT entrance by Amanda on Friday when Devon delivers the news to Billy that the company name will remain the same; leaving off the name Abbott. Amanda tells Devon that Jill will be sorry to hear that! As the amazing attorney that Amanda is, I believe that she will have no problem rectifying this situation!
In the previews: Devon tells Billy that the company name will remain the same, not adding the name Abbott. Amanda walks into the office and tells Devon that Jill will be really sorry to hear that! And Nikki is talking to Seth on the phone telling him that she will alert the Ranch’s security team that she is expecting him. (Meanwhile at the bar, Jordan is standing next to Seth and tells him how easy this is that Nikki will meet with him at the Ranch) I think there was also something about Ashley; but my “older age memory” will… Read more »

The way Seth is looking at Jordan gives me hope that he sees right through her. Please, let Seth be the one to stop Jordan in her evil tracks.

Should I be worried about Connor’s health? All this talk of what’s wrong with him, the sudden drop in grades, lack of concentration – could it be the soap opera standard issue BRAIN TUMOR?
Well, he’s a yo-yo of disfunction. I don’t think its a brain tumor. He does lack stability. Adam will believe it is his genetics, but more like Chelsas………..
More likely clinical depression like his mom Chelsea

While we are on the topic of reality versus just go with it – how in the world can Jordan know about Seth, where he hangs out, how does she have access to money, wigs, glasses, new wardrobe, transportation, food and shelter?? There are cameras on every corner, and nobody saw a gal in prison orange thumbing a ride to the wig store? Asking for a friend.
I like the idea of soap opera magic but she is otherworldly evil! Either way I love soaps and I love getting lost in TVLand where on Green Acres we saw Eddie Albert climb the telephone pole (in three piece suit) to place a call.
That is true in reality but anything is possible in soapdom

I am classic soap trained to process that when a character is moving in an open car it will likely crash if not fly off the nearest cliff. I was completely zoned out and as i processed Ashley’s joy ride it never occured to me it would crash with she but a wealthy traveler in the back seat. But then it did, but no it didn’t with I guess it being just another Ashley dellusion. WHAT WAS THAT? But actually I have a more important to me obsevation to make. That being that the moving highway tape projected on a… Read more »
I’m confused most of the time while watching Y&R. I thought maybe it was a flashback trauma, she was in the driver’s seat and looked pregnant. Or heck, this is Ashley, she probably is thinking she’s currently pregnant with Tuckers child.
I think the crashed triggered her memory of a previous accident. This accident caused her to lose the baby she was having with Brad. Afterward, Ashley had a break from reality. She began cradling a baby blanket saying it was her child.
That whole scene was so she remembered the accident in the past. I do think it really happened though; she seemed lucid telling Jack it happened, but they didn’t follow up on it. Jack didn’t know Ashley recalled the other accident in the past.

I have to go out but I can’t wait for Victor to talk to Aunt Jorden and give her that sob story about wanting to make it up to her for what he did to her poor sister, Eve Howard. What a load of BS, but maybe he can trap her. Can this goon come back a 4th time or will this be her grand finale???
Jordan will become a cartoon character if they go much further with this storyline. it’s time for Jordan to go away for good. Maybe Victor will be successful with his secret plan .

I can only hope that was Gingerale Seth was drinking…
Maybe Seth is part of Victor’s plan to trap Jordan, that would be smart to let her think Seth can get her to the ranch and then Victor have her arrested.

Chatters may identify me as a deep thinker. So I have been thinking. How is it that Aunt Jorden Howard was recently in a state prison to break out of when she was only just arrested and never had a trial? In reality she would be in lock-up at a local Oregon county jail awaiting a court date. For the purposes of the soap, does this matter? Am I being petty, again? I believe Henry looks for a certain reality and I am taking my clues from him. With Aunt Jorden taunting that she is very near can’t Nikki alert… Read more »
Yes, Gary, you are clearly highly revered here as a ‘deep-thinker’! But since you posed the probing questions… imho, deep-thinking re: a soap is highly over-achieving… ‘just going w/it’ for the fluff it actually is keeps GC plain ol’ tongue-in-cheek enjoyable for me, lol. Real-life has enough reality for me! (Jusssst my 2 cents – NOT speaking for the masses… I remain perfectly content on my rather deserted ‘who cares’ island, lol.)
Maybe Aunt Jordan was declared incompetent. Therefore, she would be housed at a behavioral health facility with a section for prisoners. Or It’s soap magic. Just like we believe Phyllis served her time in community service.
Ali, I was doing some research on Cole’s father that I hope you may find interesting. It is definitely a classic case of history repeating itself. I didn’t know who Cole’s father was, except that his mother Eve wanted Victor to believe that he was the father at one time. HIs father’s name was Rick Daros whom once had a romantic relationship with Nikki back in 1984 when she was pregnant with Victoria. Unfortunately Nikki did not know that Rick Daros had already murdered his first wife Melissa before she got together with him. Nikki and Cole’s father were on… Read more »
Wow, Dianna, this is a great piece of YnR history! Thanks for sharing – Idk why I don’t remembet any of this… I definitely remember Eve and parts of her story, but had totally blanked on anything else re: Cole outside of his having had been w/Victoria. This was a fascinating catch-up, thanks again!
You’re welcome Sue. I had fun reading about him. Very unexpected. I don’t recall Cole’s father at all or this story line. I must not have been watching it at that time. I have always appreciated the people who volunteer their time to document a character’s past storylines so that you may learn what has happened on a show that is over 50 years old. It is even better to have a place like Y&R chat to share and discuss the show with lovely people such as yourself. Thank-you Ali.
I must respectfully disagree with you Gary about the revisiting and “fine reporting as you say” although I appreciate the compliment. It is about realizing the clever full circle moment that Y&R has given us. Ali has said many times that she appreciates whenever Y&R ties in history with the current storylines. Cole’s dad’s mental illness ties in with his Aunt Jordan, his mother Eve and now daughter Claire. The biggest tie in is that everything that Cole’s Aunt Jordan ha done to Nikki was also done to Nikki by his father over 30 years ago. Once again, Nikki was… Read more »
Dianna, thank you for pointing out the tie ins and full circle aspect of this storyline. It’s remarkable! I choose to believe it’s deliberate and a fun gift to loyal viewers. I don’t remember any of it but I will have added fun watching Aunt Jordan.
I didn’t remember any of that. Thanks for the update

Did Ashley or any of the Abbott’s ever think of asking for the security camera footage at the cafe? All establishments have to have them for safety and liability reasons. This would be the most accurate way of seeing what had actually happened. rather than someone’s description of the events. The waiter and other staff members said that Tucker was yelling and there was a big scene but no violence. This doesn’t even match what Tucker is saying happened. In Tucker’s description, he calmly tells off Ashley and slightly pushes the chair. This was not a big loud scene. This… Read more »
I don’t think any establishment would/could hand over camera footage upon anyone’s request. Although I guess Abbotts could ‘pull strings’… or Ashley could hit up Victor for help: he’d get the job done, lol.
I think it was Tucker’s version. I don’t think he was as violent as Ashley remembers. Never saw Tucker be violent. He hardly shows any emotion at all. LOL.

That was at the end of the Kevin fire-bombs Pierre’s The Allegro Gina’s flashback we saw over the holidays. Merry X-mas from Y&R

Sorry I don’t see the edit button. I forgot the word wikipedia when talking about where to find out about past characters.
Rick Daros! A lethario, I believe. Didn’t Nikki go skin diving with him where he tried to kill her??? I remember a photo feature on this.
