Well we have reached the end of the February sweeps period and so far the biggest explosions have been Kyle finding out he may be a father and Sally’s use of that secret to ward off Summer. So far, however, Chelsea has not gotten out of her wheelchair and Sharon and Rey are still together despite the kiss. I agree, not very exciting for Feb, sweeps maybe pre emptions did make a difference.
Here’s a dark prediction. Chelsea is gonna get her full mobility back unbeknownst to Adam like predicted then when he’s sleep go in and stab him. I think we just might be on our way to getting a crazy, vengeful Chelsea.
I predicted she would stab Sharon because Chelsea once expressed the thought of wanting to “throttle” Sharon.
I agree that Chelsea will hide her recovery efforts from Adam and her and Chloe will cook up some kind of revenge against Adam and Sharon
Even though I’m not the biggest fan of the surrogacy storyline without Chance, I did appreciate the conversation about two white parents raising an interracial child and the possible struggles it may be.
I agree ,was a good conversation, I honestly didn’t even consider that as an issue but it certainly will be.
I agree. I am glad they brought that up and didn’t sweep it under the rug.
Was anyone else scared when Chelsea made the fist at the end of the show? I found it a little scarey..lol. I am not sure why. I think just the fact that she is able to move and Adam doesn’t know this is what makes it somewhat creepy to me. Whoever predicted that Chelsea would get better and fake being paralyzed got it right. I look forward to seeing what happens next.
I wasn’t scared because I have seen her do it before!
I have to admit I almost forgot about Christian until NIck mentioned that Christian will enjoy having Faith come to live with them. NIck never talks about him to Phyllis. We never have any scenes with Christian. I can’t remember the last time we saw him. Y&R needs to show the kids on the show more often. We have seen Katie and Johnny a few times lately, so why not Christian? It isn’t realistic. Why have the characters have kids and then never show them?
It’s probably Covid protocol. Christian is younger than Katie and Johnny and maybe the actors who play kids can only be on once in awhile and maybe their families aren’t ready to see them back on set. But I agree Nick should be talking about Christian and show how he affects his relationship with Phyllis
When Devon was talking to Lily about the fact that Abby is a good friend to him and that is why he wanted to be her surrogate, Lily did not mention that Abby was also a good friend to her. Lily only said that she cared about Abby too. It seems because Y&R missed the boat on Abby and Lily’s friendship these days, they want us to forget that they ever were good friends.
I don’t remember Lily and Abby being that close. Maybe they should show their frendship again to remind us.
Did anyone notice how much steam was coming out of Devon’s mug at Crimson lights when he was sitting at the table. That was one HOT cup of coffee! It would singe the skin off of your tongue. Years ago a lady sued McDonalds for making the coffee too hot and she won. Drinks aren’t supposed to be that hot.
The previous day before Devon and Amanda picked up their hot chocolate without using the handles and then carried them to the back patio like that. Ouch! These are little things, but are noticeably obvious to me.
I wonder how someone broke into Faith’s locker? Lockers have a combination to make it almost impossible to get into someone’s locker. Faith’s locker was not broken in any way which is why Faith has to make everyone believe that the liquor was planted there. I believe 100% that someone did put the liquor in Faith’s locker, but what doesn’t make sense is that none of the characters such as Sharon and Nick are bringing up this very valid point. As besties Jordan has Faith’s locker combo only issue is Jordan may be in Jr. college
I don’t know why on earth Faith would ever give Jordan or any friend her locker combination? There would not be a reason to do that. Even If this were true, Faith should then obviously confront the one and only person that she knows has access to her locker, especially knowing that there is no evidence of anyone breaking into her locker. Faith is smart, I don’t think she would be foolish enough to ignore facts.

Exactly, Jordan is mad ,and is probably the ring leader of the bullies. Faith probably gave her combination to her. I’m surprised Faith hasn’t figured out Jordan isn’t her friend that she is behind all this.
I thought Nick gave Rey some good advice. He told him to lead with the pain Sharon’s relationship with Adam has caused for himself and Faith. Instead, he began accusing Sharon of having a dark side that is addicted to Adam. He continued with many “why you” statements. Rey try some “ I feel” statements. It will help with communication. Also, you might not compare Sharon to a criminal. Eek.
Ali, you have me looking at the bakery case at Crimson Lights. I was hoping to see some spring bakery goods, like tulip sugar cookies or bunny cupcakes. To no avail, spring has not showed up in their case.
Why should it? It is still winter and Genoa City is in Wisconsin.
After Valentine’s Day, vendors begin bringing out goods for the next holiday or season.
Ellen, I have to ask. What are your thoughts about Nick’s conversation with Rey as he explained his current backstory with Adam and why he feels as he does about him? Do you really feel Nick has no place in anything currently happening and Nick should only mind his own business even though his daughter Faith is a centerpiece of this drama? I know you find Nick abhorrent but would you not agree that in other areas of his life Nick is one of the most grounded characters on the show?
Rey has completely nailed Sharon and if he is but black & white I hope you give him points for being smart and above all perceptive.
I want to see Y&R shrink S&R and send them off to therapy. I understand there is a space open with Faith’s refusal to go.
I like that Sharon got a taste of her own medicine after unilaterally scheduling a therapy visit for Faith (like she wrote the book on raising a “teen alcoholic” completely ignoring Nicks discomfort with the idea. I was just waiting for her to snap at Rey “How dare you tell me how to raise my daughter!” Rey is the most stable influence Faith has in her life, don’t shut him down.
I agree- couples counseling sounds like it’d be fun to watch. Sharon will get all fidgety and go down the Billy gum chewing path
HA! That would be good if Sharon literally started chewing gum, taking it to new level in snaping bubbles.
What a brat. Like daughter, like mother. Refuses to go to therapy. And Rey instantly giving her the out. Saying he will accept her refusal to take part.

Yeah, that seems strange that she had no ideal about it. But everyone else in town knows.

I’m thinking she hasn’t yet. She was out of town and said she “unplugged.” But I bet Kevin could figure out who posted it!
I don’t think Chloe saw it yet. She was away but I’m sure she will and soon.
I just don’t see where Rey and Sharon have chemistry
In my opinion they have the interesting chemistry of being opposites which brings interest to a scene.
Rey is the safe choice for Sharon but she is hot for Adam, which she continues to show with her actions.
