The actor who plays Dominic is very cute and a good little actor. He is believable and actually acts and talks like a kid unlike other child actors, the show has had on that act and talk like adults. When we actually see the kids and letting them speak, it makes the characters feel like real families. I hope we see Nick being a dad to Christian as we never see his son. I would love this to be the next storyline, a storyline involving Nick having to deal with dad issues and seeing Christian, not just hearing his name… Read more »

I’m piggybacking on my previous comment about Dominic being so comfortable and authentic in his on screen scenes because of his off screen relationship with Melissa Ordway. You can tell they are bonded in real life and it makes for excellent interactions.

I am trying to catch up with Y&R. I miss reading all of your comments and being a part of the chat. It’s 3:00am and I am still behind. I realized that I have missed a lot of episodes as the recordings have been erasing them after a couple of days. Luckily I can watch them on demand with Bell TV. I want to say I know I am behind but I wanted to say I was happy to see Danny and Cricket back in Genoa City. I hope we see more of them on the show. I also wanted… Read more »

After unfortunately reading some other internet nonsense, I”m needing to throw out some love and support for the show I adore… the FICTIONAL (which some in nasty Internetland don’t seem to understand) YnR is entertainment that many people, like me, DO enjoy as simply that (otherwise, why watch, lol?). Unrealistic? Yep. Dumb? Yep. Minimal, recycled sets? Yep. Wash, rinse, and repeat stories? Yep. Kids we never see? Yep. Dropped storylines? Yep. So what???? YnR for the win?????????? YEP, YEP, and YEP!

Maybe it’s just me but, I like Friday cliffhangers to be current storyline arcs, not spoiler alert previews for next week.

Is Victor holding Jack in the same place he is holding Lily and “the kids”? Is it a new dungeon or just a small hotel Victor has recently purchased? Once he frees these captives; he will probably be willing to switch out some space to keep Billy as a new prisoner alongside the evil Matt Clark. (And Ian Ward, in case he’s still alive)!

On Friday, Phyllis’ red dress with elongated split up the back and Lauren’s white dress were equally beautiful on both beautiful actresses! Also, Sharon’s make up and hair was really beautiful today!

Sparkles everywhere! The white dress was better close up and the maroon was better in full view and that slit was an eye popper. I’m partial to paisley prints and it was my favorite.

What’s the deal with all the kidnappings? Storylines about corporate gameplay are exciting but this kidnapping everyone has gotten out of hand.

Jack is being kidnapped next week. Maybe this is Josh Griffin’s way of explaining the actors vacation time.

Cane Ashby is proven to be the most gullible and stupidest person on this show. No one should invest in any company that he tries to start. He is proving that his Father got him the money. He doesn’t have the smarts to have achieved that success on his own.

I notice that occasionally on Y&R, when the show is backed into a corner they outrageously make the decision to have the judge ‘dismiss all the charges”. Christine Blair suffered a huge humiliating defeat when she tried to prosecute Phyllis for running her down with her car and the judge threw it out of court, etc. These soaps can write any damn thing they want.

Of course – that’s a soap for ya! Norhing mirrors reality on the ‘dopes’ (as viewers rush to dissect again and again) – except the emotions stirred up in viewers, even if it’s only irritation, lol. Idk, it’s difficult enough in today’s world to stomach reality; gosh forbid if soaps were actual depictions…

You’re right Gary… it is frustrating when they just drop charges or in Mariah’s case give her house arrest. That would never happen. We watch the show because we want it to be as realistic as possible despite obvious over the top drama that would not occur at this rate it does on a show. I am sure a person who committed a kidnapping of a child would not get house arrest. I think what is a little irritating is that the show seems to be going the mainstream way, which is how things often appear in real life. The… Read more »

I have never seen such legal velvet gloves ir regards to the Mariah kidnapping in all my life. But on soaps, the town judges, not the law.

I’m so glad to have Devon and Abby back. Devon is totally overwhelmed with worries about Dom, Lily and the twins – and the actor portrays it perfectly. Abby is a wonderful mom and Devon is so comfortable with her they look like a real family to me I will lose faith in Abby if she ever ships Dom off to boarding school.

The authentic bond between Abby and Dominic on screen is evidence of an off screen relationship of trust. I noticed it right away when he ran to her in the escape scene. He is always physical with Melissa Ordway and a touch, hug, snuggle, or being near her seems very natural and comfortable.

I agree. The actors play beautifully off one another. Those little, non-sexual, physical touches they employ just enhance their portrayal as a deeply connected and committed couple.

I have insomnia and can’t sleep. I turned on the big TV in the living room with the high def & actually saw what you are talking about & thought he looked his best with the little curl in the middle of his forehead. As a druggy he looked grizzled on another TV yesterday. Go figure. Maybe its just me. When I read your comment earlier I thought this observation was kind of silly but now I’m like – good call. Yes. Sienna may be back to get murdered by Matt Clark so Noah can make the long grieving road… Read more »

My focus on Nick’s hair is silly! And now that you’ve pointed out his grizzled druggy look – it’s not your TV. Nick looked and acted fresh as daisy yesterday in his T-shirt and cute hair. This is in sharp contrast to his unshaven, crazed, grimacing in pain self. Apparently Nick has Learned the proper dosage of his street drugs of choice?

I think you’re right, Sienna is in GC to further the drama of Matt/Mitch terrorizing the Newman family. She will be collateral damage in a big showdown maybe even taking a bullet for Noah. I liked Sienna and Noah until I saw this new Noah with Audra. He looks at Audra as a man recognizing and remembering she’s one fine looking woman.

Great clarity. Nick likes to be grunge and then every couple years he does the Hazel’s make-over with folks agape. So he WAS unshaved the other day and now he has cleaned up again to be every mother’s favorite son I’m not always focused on him but I did think I was seeing something different – and not just my TV! If Nick goes with Victoria to Milan he will wow them at Marchetti. But as Vic says, Nick has bigger fish to fry with this stupid Matt Clark back on the scene. Why?

Sometimes I feel the show is all talk, no action. Sometimes something might happen, but then they will talk it to death before there is a follow-up

I was noticing through the window at the ranch some movement. I should have been listening to Victor but the realistic view of branches in the breeze captured me. Maybe it’s actually Matt/Mitch lurking around while security detail is on a smoke break.

The ranch is very interesting to look at on one of my TVs. It is over-decorated IMO but that’s OK. I just saw a new interview on YouTube with Melody & Peter Bergman where they talked at length about the ranch set. How nobody could believe Sharon was allowed to burn down the old ranch & was it worth it? PB freaks out talking about the new ranch. How it is more detailed & expansive than the original I believe Melody said that she first saw the new set on camera with Y&R taping her as Victor brought Nikki into… Read more »

Are we going to actually be able to see Victoria in Milan with Summer? Or are we just gonna keep talking about it endlessly? My guess is no, because there has been no articles about Summers return to the show. I don’t see the point in making this trip to Milan such a large part of the plot if we won’t even be able to watch it on our screens.

Exactly. Today, we always have to assume likely off camera until we see different. Phyllis loves Summer alright, but those kids aren’t going to get her to give back Newman. Its nerve racking watching Sharon trying to reason with Phyllis as a friend. There is the lingering bond of the kidnapping ,bu fading fast for Phyllis? Phyllis is very tolerant of the bleeding heart Sharon. She will somewhat give her the respect of listening to her but I’m always feeling she’s heard quite enough and is ready to jump scross the isle and strangle her.

Phyllis sometimes had a brief moment of surprise when Sharon was offering kindness and friendship. Phyllis deflected because she can’t let her guard down but I think Sharon reached her even if she didn’t respond.

Sharon’s interaction with Phyllis was focused on Phyllis. All the other players in this AI fiasco spout threatening ultimatums to Phyllis. Sharon is the only one in the Newman family now actually sympathetic to her. Sharon wants the Newmans to regain their empire, but she knows really seeing Phyllis will be the only way to have her release the empire willingly.

Well said. I sometimes feel sorry for Phyllis, she absorbs such verbal abuse it’s hard to watch. I realize she’s a stinker. She could be less abrasive when breezes around town, coattails flowing – but she isn’t. She gets in a good jab before anyone can beat her to it. She has few friends. Michael and Lauren have vanished from the show. So she has gotten everything she wants and at the same time lost everything. If victory is so sweet, why isn’t she at her office running the empire? Oh yes, it’s getting redecorated so she needs to be… Read more »
