The love scene with Chabby was on fiya! It was so cute. Who knew that body was hiding under that flannel ha ha! Ali, I think the tide has turned for you! From your last video is sounds like you love the show again. I don’t like Theo & Summer giving each other the evil eye. I prefer when they were fun & flirty but I guess that’s not the plan now. I think Phyllis will continue to help Sharon but will do it in her own way. They may become true friends after this is all over
Kyle’s surprising kitchen confession to Lola that ends their marriage for now was quite startling, but I think Josh G can make it work by painting the previously Lola love sick Kyle as fickle for love. It kind of suits him. Some of us are calling K&L a true love, but the opposition points up how those two have been sparring and squabbling since they first met and were never a proper fit. Great summary. How sad to see Lola feel like she married her loser father!!!! Yikes! What a terribly sad ending to what was a very romantic story—for a while.
I think Lola will sleep with Theo and then will find out she is pregnant not knowing who the father is. Kyle and Summer do have history but Kyle will be horrified if Lola ends up with Theo
Has the show been secretly cancelled or something? The way the writing has been with the latest regime reminds me of the final season of shows where everything that many fans rooted for comes true, and is wrapped up quickly with a bow.
Just renewed through 2024! But I know what you mean about the crazy writing that has your head spinning. It has been so disjointed and choppy. I’m glad we have YR Chat to see us through these rough patches.
I like Tanner but he can certainly be a real “budinski” when it comes to Tessa and Mariah’s privacy. Why did he have to insert himself into Tessa’s conversation with Mariah when they were on the phone by showing his face. I think he is definitely going to cause a strain on Tessa and Mariah’s relationship.
Yeah, I get a kick out of him popping into every social media outlet imaginable, every time Mariah & Tessa try to share an intimate electronic moment! “Budinski”, I’d say! HA!
What the heck another abrupt out of character and unsatisfying storyline change!? They did Kyle and Summer exactly like Adam and Chelsea. I think it is at least as bad or worse, than the anti climactic reveals that turn in ti duds because they choose to reveal it in bits, such as the Jack/Marco and Christians paternity stories. I am seriously suffering from shaking my head in astonishment soap viewer syndrome.
I feel the same way and I am actually a fan of both Summer/Kyle and Chelsea/Adam. They don’t build up the story enough to make the reunion satisfying.
I think Kyle returning to Summer was too quick ,he was so in love with Lola and all of a sudden he loves Summer again
When Friday show started I thought to myself this is so cheesy I can’t even stand it! I felt they would have much better served the cancer story in line and Sharon if they Had flashbacks of her and her kids. Well I have to tell you the last five minutes I was crying like a baby. OMG I never ever get choked up about Y & R but that last shot of Sharon and her girls asleep
together gave me a huge lump in my throat. That was something. It must be very lonely to face a cancer diagnosis, even if the prognosis is pretty good. That really came through today.
Ellen, you never get choked up over Y&R? Good for you! It’s what they call true grit! I have 3 episodes of Y&R on tape and am going to power through them Saturday morning, if they haven’t been pre-empted. Actually, Friday, I literally saw a one second flash of CBS where Sharon was hysterical in some kind of blazing light, pleading something like , ‘Oh, no!’ I’m thinking it was a horror fantasy. I’m back! I just thought of something. Because a soap is so glossy and formula, I don’t get choked up over Y&R either! But I enjoy all the nice moments… Further, like you, I think this Sharon story goes a step beyond forcing me to really react! On the show, only Sharon Case/Sharon Newman could pull such empathy from viewers. An actress/character up to the task! And her surrounding players get an A too.
Well, I have told you about my cold, black heart Gary. But yeah, Sharon got to me. I admit it.
I didn’t like that Cassie was Mariah’s age but they covered that by saying it is how Sharon would see her now . They couldn’t have done it any other way. The message was clear to Sharon, don’t take this cancer on by yourself, it was a little cheesy but the ending was good,choked me up too
I was disappointed they forgot about her “port.” It was such a big deal with Phyllis seeing it. Really dropped the ball, Y & R…
The tears that happen seeing Sharon, Faith and Mariah sleeping in the same bed. What a perfect picture of them all snuggled together.
Am I the only one who just doesn’t see Camryn Grimes as Cassie anymore. Through the Sharon centric episode, all I could see was Mariah. I guess because the actress played Cassie as a child and is playing Mariah as an adult so whenever I see her, I can’t relate to her being Cassie.
Ok, I’ve never been a Kyle/Lola fan and always wanted Summer/Kyle, but the storyline of Kyle all of a sudden wanting Summer again kinda came out of nowhere. It was literally a year ago that Kyle was treating Summer like she was second best and Lola was his true love, now it’s the opposite. I would have preferred if after Summer kissed him and he rejected her that she would give up and decide to move on. It was very tacky for Summer to show up at Kyle’s hotel room 5 seconds after he says he is getting a divorce. And tacky Kyle lets her in. I don’t care about Kyle and Summer at this point. But I would love to see Lola and Theo develop into a huge romantic love story.
I honestly think Theo and Lola are more suited to each other and would love to see them develop a relationship

Something is off. Mariah has been heart sick and desperately missing Tessa. She tells anyone she’s talking too just how badly she misses her girlfriend. When Lola said “I think you have a missed call from Tessa”, Mariah brushed it off quietly and said she’d call her back. Nope, not buying it. You know everything on Y&R is there for a reason. Call me crazy, but maybe the next love triangle is going to be between Mariah/Lola/Theo. I know Mariah is friends with both Lola and Kyle but you’re right Mariah should have hunted down Kyle because she’s closer to him. Abby has been there as Lola’s best friend and should have been comforting her over Mariah. I can’t even remember the last time Abby and Lola had girl talk.
Astra, To be honest I don’t think her and Abby had girl talks- but she has had a few with Mariah and Tessa- game night at Kyle’s, drinks at the GCAC, and up to-including the night before her wedding at Crimson Lights, when she was having the gitters about getting married. But I do agreed that Mariah should have hunted Kyle down-that confession to Lola was kind of cruel to me.
Actually Sandra, Lola’s best friend was Tessa-they met when Lola first showed up in GC and started hanging out-but then when the writers changed-and they actually put Kyle and Lola together-I think they wanted to tether her to a family member and they gave her cousin Abby and also because of the restaurant business-but remember Lola’s speech at Mariah and Tessa’s Anniversary Party, about how they have been there for everything she ever done.
Mariah didn’t want to see Kyle and lola break up, she is against Theo and doesn’t like Summer much either and she will keep butting in but I think the triangle will be Tessa, Mariah and Lindsay
OK it seems like I am Victoria bashing but I really like her another pro Billy point is that when Victoria finds out her father lied to her about Billy and Amanda sleeping together she will forgive him and Say that in his heart he meant well. Billy was right why does Victoria always give Victor a pass! Go team Billy
I know I just said team Billy and I still am. I just wanted to clarify I do not think Victoria should keep the kids from Billy. (I would say that if it was it any but he on the show) He has a black Eye it is not the end of the world. He could just tell the children he had a little accident. Victoria is Victor’s daughter, it is going to be a dirty custody battle. She will definitely hit below the belt. I hope she remembers how it felt when she lost custody of Reid, but then again I doubt she will. Victoria can be very cold hearted.
At this point Devons story Seems like it interruption it is so long in between scenes. I wish the writers would strike a better balance.
Way to go Billy you are finally living your truth. Jack had to make the comment that he will fall on his face but it is better to live your own way then be suffocated by unreal expectations of others! Team Billy
OK so what was actually in that picture with Amanda and Billy it didn’t look that intimate to me. They weren’t even touching any body parts. Then Nikki goes it’s hard to see your loved ones spiral out of control but at the same time it’s just a little Bar brawl. He is not gambling or drinking himself silly. Just another item in the long list of things Victoria can hold over his head For the next time they get together.
So is Summer going to get hurt by Kyle all over again? I know he told her he has feelings for her and never got over her but he slept with Summer the night he and Lola decided to get a divorce. Great question! I think the writers are going to make it seem like Kyle and Lola’s relationship never happened. It’s kind of hard to make the viewers forget a love story that everyone saw since Sept 2018. Plus Michael and Sasha cannot have anymore scenes together if they are going to make Kyle and Summer work. Michael and Sasha have such great chemistry. That’s what made them such a great couple.
