The evolution of Billy is interesting. For me, the character began with Billy Miller who was this happy go lucky-ish good time Charlie w/ issues who evolved into this dark, complex, demon ridden character under Thompson. I could never very well make the switch in my mind. But look, he was responsible for the death of his kid who he never took responsibility for so his spirit is not at rest. Completely different, but in a similar way that Adam needed to bring the Montovo death to the surface of his consciousness to find inner peace?

I keep going back to this but I can’t help it. One scene last week said so much to me. The last time we saw baby Dom, it was after Devon and Abby signed the custody papers. To that point, the show made sure we only saw the baby with his hat on. It was later discovered on Twitter that one twin had hair, and one didn’t, so YR made sure that the child’s head was completely covered. But that day, the child ripped off his hat. The show kept it in. They didn’t re-shoot. We saw him remove his… Read more »

Although I continue to be disappointed in a lot of the writing on Y&R, I have to say that I am beginning to really appreciate the talent of its cast. My shout out this week is for Jason Thompson who plays Billy Abbot. My Gosh, the way he gives 100% to these terrible scripts amazes me. I’m sure Jason was falling asleep reading the nonsense they have Billy spouting all week BECAUSE for some reason Billy doesn’t recognize the he needs to be in lifetime therapy WITH A PROFESSIONAL and not with himself. Secretly I believe that Billy’s dissatisfaction and… Read more »

I was so enraged by Billy’s self indulgent shrinking session just so he could hear the sound of his own voice (didn’t he even say as much at the beginning of his tape?), but what was I going to do? Fast forward the scenes? Billy makes my skin crawl, but you Herman Lane, you with the ability to seperate the actor from the character. How do you do it? How do you do it? And tell me Herman, I’m assuming you are not suggesting poor Sharon be given the job of therapist for Billy for the rest of his life… Read more »

And that Lily business woman, always buttering Billy up with her great respect for his journey (HA!) , I just can’t take it.

What a disappointment we didn’t get to see the stable decorated for NIkki for Valentine’s Day. I really thought we were going to see a little something since it was mentioned. It almost would have been better if Victor didn’t mention it, then we wouldn’t be anticipating seeing it. It would have been much more interesting to see than Victor and Nikki dining with Ashland and Victoria at the same restaurant we see all the time.

DIANNA, you know very well how we do it these days. All situations or events take place off camera and then we talk about them in the business offices or cafets of Genoa City.

Y&R should think about having the actors use their own handwriting when they have the characters writing notes. The note LIly left for Billy at their apartment looked like it was written by a man. I am not sure why, but to me It did not look like what I would picture Lily’s handwriting to look like. It looked like it was written by a male producer or someone else behind the scenes. It is a minor observation but it is these little things that would make the show feel more realistic.

I think Billy having difficulty sleeping may stem back to Deliah. Billy was talking out loud to himself about his feelings and what may be triggering his sleepless nights. He mentioned about the loss of Deliah and his hatred for Adam. Billy was telling himself that he needs to let go of his obsession with Adam and how unhealthy it is to harbour these negative feelings. I think Billy will dig deep down into his psyche and realize that his anger towards Adam is really the anger and resentment that he feels towards himself for leaving Deliah alone in the… Read more »

I like that! I often wonder who writes the notes we see. For some reason I picture Adam & his portrayer as having messy writing. Maybe like all capital letters. I think because of what I know about his background and that MG mentioned he’s terrible at wrapping gifts. I imagine Nikki’s or Traci’s as swirly handwriting. I wonder if anyone has sent fan mail and then gotten a response? Then you would see their writing for real.

Y&R finally gave me something soapy to smile about this week. Chelsea dreaming about Rey and then waking up all shook up!! That scene was soapy goodness. For me the scene indicates that Chelsea did not know that she was falling for him and it shows that she actually has genuine affection for him – Love it. I’m glad that they did this scene because it gives me the bliss to root for Chelsea and Rey. Now don’t get me wrong – Chelsea has NOT changed one bit and Rey is an idiot for thinking that she did. I can’t… Read more »

Is the Scottish Locke family crest of Ashland’s late best friend and not himself the best highlighted choice for a Valentine’s present?

I know this is completely wrong, but to me Valentine’s Day is a children’s holiday where you get those great punch-out Valentines in the little envelopes in school and the homeroom mothers bring Valentine cup-cakes. (“A Valentine for Teacher”) Well, I’m not that old and this was probably banned before I got anywhere out of grade school as discriminatory. (If not bold & beautiful you may get nothing) Valentines Day as a day of romance followed by possible s-e-x for adults seems completely cheesy to me. Such situations can’t be forced. The screenshot here of the Sr. Newmans in a… Read more »

“Pear-roo”. He probably said it that way just to bug people & keep them on their toes.

That was funny when Victor said it. I did a little research and it seems to be pronounced Peh-roo.

Adam and sally are a long overdue refresh in sexy and chemistry. Played right they could be the next Victor and Nikki, Luke and Laura.. let’s hope the writers capture this and don’t mess it up.

YES Catherine! I love their banter. I started rewatching all the Adam & Sally scenes from the beginning and its clear the flirting began on day one (back in Aug 2021). MG has mentioned he’s enjoying this and that he has his own love interest not a continuation from a previous actor. We are really seeing Mark’s range now and I’m all in. It’s so sweet when Adam goes all quiet and sensitive. I hope Adam doesn’t hurt Sally or cheat on her. I want to see romance for quite a while and them run the company. Prove people wrong… Read more »

The screen cap of Chance and Rey on their stake-out (or whatever they were doing) looks like Chance is either a magician or psycho-killer w/Rey’s head in a box. So funny and creepy at the same time!

Rey sees Chelsea is not that person anymore, but the audience thinks she kinda is.. Probably. Dr Jekyl & Mr. Hyde?

Well, I am not lovin’ me some Billy and that Hamlet act into his recorder is the most self indulgent thing I have ever seen.
