Friday Tucker told Audra that they need to be together. He told her his heart still races when she walks into the room; and he realizes that he has taken that for granted. Audra tells Tucker she doesn’t want to be the woman someone settles for!
Because we are proudly Y&R CHAT and not a hate forum, and in keeping with company policy, I would like to take back all the hateful things i have said about people since the new year. Meaning Ashley. Forget all the uncharitable but true observations made by me to better restate under the same unbrella that Ashley is simply not a warm person, now or then, and leave it at that.
Have a good flight to Paris, Ashley.
Always seemingly angry and on edge at even her biggest suppprters like her brother Jack. Jack, get out out of the way! A whirling dirbish of anxiety is just passing through… But with my new policy, gotta love her!
Ashley might unravel/go bezerk in Paris and we might not see her again. Until we do.

Nikki gets tough with an innocent like Diane but at least she’s on the show today and Esther seems to be starting to loose it a bit, but she was always that way.
Gary CEO and Guest Host of this forum, first thank you for fun posts! Now, I must advise you of EOS (Equal Opportunity Snarkiness) as exchanged by Nikki and Diane. Diane offers kindness and understanding to Nikki that is thinly veiling her true intentions. Once Nikki offered her more straightforward and openly snarky responses Diane has that slight smile suggesting she was pleased. She irritated Nikki and happy to do it. These two are pros at this.
As Tina Bordelon mentioned JG below, it reminded me that I recently read that a YnR woman writer JUST (in 2024) retired from the show after writing for them for 35 years. Idk…have also read on this Chat that JG is (was? I can’t keep up) the sole YnR writer, and that he (or somebody) had fired all the show’s women writers? Conflicting infos… but regardless, I guess it matters little to me re: who actually is/isn’t, was/wasn’t writing…as long as I continue to enjoy the output (and I do!).
Diane and Adam need to form their own support group for “never given a break”. Nikki’s reaction to Diane’s promotion was harsh. Nikki only pulled it back after Diane called her out.
I only saw the 1st few minutes of the show so far where Nikki was back in her hateful mode as she ran into Diane at one of the restaurants or BARS. Diane said something like, ‘How are you Nikki” with Nikki firing back, “You know very well how I am”. That was a good one. Diane blanched. What happens in scene two???
Sorry, I have to add another name to the “butt into everyone else’s life” list that I commented on yesterday. That name is Jack! Even Diane told Jack it seemed like a pretty good idea for Ashley to try to get some answers at the Paris cafe! LOL
I believe that JG doesn’t know what to do with Audra, so much potential but no clear focus, so in real soap opera fashion, let’s just throw her in bed with everyone. I’m not feeling Audra/Nate. Audra/ Tucker could have its moments but think that ship has sailed. Audra/Kyle was ok. I know they are moving towards a Nick/Sharon reunion but I think Audra/Nick could be interesting
Really, I know this is a soap. But Audra dated Nick’s son, Noah. Even in the soap world this would be disgusting.
Nikki is such a nasty person. I am really having a hard time pulling for her. Her snide remarks to Diane were totally uncalled for. The old saying still remains, if you don’t have anything nice to say…..
This is why I don’t feel bad for what Jordan did to Nikki. Let her drink herself to oblivion.
Some people don’t deserve sympathy.
I didn’t care for the snark to Diane or Audra either, but it served a purpose. Sober Nikki is a lovely lady. Nasty Nikki is in distress. I think the storyline is to show the two sides of addiction. Just like in real life, we can love the person and despise who they become when they are using. MTS is very convincing and is doing a good job playing the part she is given. She will probably get worse before she gets better and I hope they will carry through with the character making amends to those you have wronged.
Not telling Lily is a bad idea. That just leaves more time and space for Lucy’s New Year couch photo to get out – either by mistake or because she’s is the grandspawn of Phyllis.

Did it seem like Daniel was quick to say Lily had too many problems and he didn’t want to add to her worries? Convenient!
i know I do not have to point this up to anyone, how the adulterers Devon & Abby need to tred lightly in getting judge-y with Daniel in reguard to his partner swap. All I can say is that Heather would seem to know she has the ability to TALK her way into getting exactly what she wants from the ex-husband.

Is there really anyone in GC w/ “clean hands,’ lol!? Idk…Traci, maybe?… can’t remember her history. Welp, GC would fall silent, indeed, if only those w/perenially ‘clean hands’ would pass judgements. Whether considering his own contradictory actions or not, Devon’s p.o.v. has good intent by wanting to support, defend, and protect a loved one…. even though yeah, yeah, ‘Lily’s an adult,’ ‘it’s not his business,’ etc. etc., I do find it understandable.
Delores, you really highlight how Devon’s transgressions in similar situations are 100% worse than Daniel’s dilemma. In fairness to Devon I do suppose he realizes this, whereupon he passed on the idea of socking Daniel. Thumbs up to him on this but still the attitude.
I remember when Heather was a newborn. Living downstage left in a baby bassinet in a run down economy apt.on what was probably the outskirts of town? She was a boring character then and nothing to change my opinion since. She learned to be boring from her boring put upon oh so serious mother mother, April. The fact that Tucker has told Ashley to fly out to Paris and ask a waiter or eyewitness what really happened that day has me convinced he has made a pay off to manipulate the story and make him the good guy. He was way too cocky and confident when he mentioned that to Ashley. Tucker does not have a care in the world about the outcome as he seems to know it will be to his advantage.
But don’t you feel this is hardly worth his time… ?
I think he wants to come out looking like Ashley is in the wrong just because he can.
I think all heck is gonna rain down on Tucker sooner than later… and not in a good way. The Tucker show needs some resolution.

Although I do like LIly’s character more than I have in the past, I can’t help but feel LIly is getting a dose of her own medicine and that some karma has come her way. I don’t forget how Lily cheated on Cane with Joe Clark more than once. Worse than that she didn’t believe her own husband when he told her he had nothing to do with Hilary’s disappearance. Great points! I had forgotten Lily did cheat on Cane. (Imho, Lily is lovely, but always comes across as a bit pretentious to me.) I’m unclear on just where Lily and Daniel stood when she left town… clearly they were sleeping together, but had they declared themselves ‘exclusive’? (Just wondering… no comment on morals, lol!)
Pretentious is a great adjective to describe Lily.
Lily had good reason(s) not to believe Cane. Because Cane was a lying cheat as well. She thought that he had cheated on her first with Lauren Fenmore. So, she had retaliation sex with Joe Clark. Not saying it was right. But that was the reasoning. I still can’t believe that Lily was 19 and Cane was 31, but the show still put them together. I don’t think Cane lied. He only kissed Lauren. I don’t remember why LIly thought that Cane had actually slept with Lauren. When I think about it, it tells you that Lily must not think that highly of Lauren or trust her. The fact that LIly didn’t believe in her husband on more than one occasion makes Lily the bad guy, not Cane. Lily is lucky to have you as her advocate Sharod. I began to like Lily’s character a lot more when she was with Billy. They were one of my favourite couples.
Alison Lanier is doing such a great job of being giddy and happy over Chance. I totally buy it. She’s adorable.
