I guess we knew Chance’s death was coming, as it has been discussed, but it still comes as a bit of a shock to me. Y&R is just killing the characters off like flies. There have been 3 deaths in a matter of weeks. I don’t think this has ever happened in the history of the show. The saddest part of it all is that 2 of the characters are my favourites, although I also liked Damien. The actor who played Chance was great, but he moved on to Days, probably why they killed him off. Sorry to see him go, no Chancellors left and no cop for GC either. Damien I didn’t care that much about although it was a hard thing for Nate to tell Amy. Neither of these deaths were necessary. Cole I liked but he had to go so Victoria and Nate can get back together at some point. Especially when Nate finds out Audra will do anything to get ahead, even sleep with Kyle.
Glad to hear your dad is doing better, Ali, and is out of the hospital. Hope everything is going well. I am sure it has not been easy. Your commitment to Y&R chat is appreciated.

The adorable actress playing Aria was NOT having it, lol. Of course, Caitlin F. and Daniel G. did their jobs as though they WERE engaging w/the child, but clearly, it wasn’t happening. Awww, the little girl looked simply uncomfortble, and borderline scared. I’ll never understand why soaps insist in using child actors who always and invariably look a.) woefully out- of- place, or b.) awkwardly over-acting. I think the effect of a ‘scene w/one’s child,’ would be more effective when seeing a brief side view of said child’s face, and/or a quick shot of holding hands
The last successful scene with the littles was when Dominic and Aria were in the park on a picnic. It was successful because they let the kids play and interact naturally, with with minimum dialogue from the adults until the kids were off camera playing or feeding the ducks. I agree that unless they can spend the time to accommodate the needs of young child actors to be naturally comfortable on a set, they should skip the scene because no amount of puppets, fishy crackers, or colored gummy candy can hide an unhappy child.
LOVE the story heading (hopefully) toward a Daniel/Tessa romance. Those two amazing actors play off one another so easily; I completely buy each’s vulnerability snow-balling toward their about-to-manifest attraction for the other. And soorganic through shared love of music – and Mariah! (Or is that so groan-worthy, lol?) Anyway, mix in powerhouse C.Grimes playing a blind-sided (and still screwed-up) Mariah?? Oh, yeah – tip this gold-mine, soapy triangle front and center!! BRING IT ON.
I know this is where Y&R is going with this, but I’m not a fan, wanted Tessa and Mariah to stay together. They love each other and Aria. Daniel and Tessa won’t last long
Why am I the only one that is worried about Nina and Jill? We have heard that Abbey and Summer are upset over the loss of Chance but, little has been said about how his mother or grandmother are taking the sad news. Where is Nina and have the authorities notified her? Shouldn’t Traci or Christine be consoling her, even if it is off camera. I know Billy is mad at his mom but, shouldn’t his conversation with Jack have included some sympathy for Jill’s loss?
It would be soooo great to have the incomparable Jess W. back in GC, be it just for a scene or two – or even ‘dialed in,’ lol. Many viewers had complained that Jill”s last YnR appearances were ‘dialed in,’ but I understand there may have been circumstances warranting such. Or not – SO WHAT?????? People use Zoom, GoogleMeets, or whatev everyday these days in REAL life, lol… not my business, regardless! Anyway, I’m such a fan of Jess W. AND YnR that I’ll support Jill’s return OR non-return however the show handles it…
I think Jill is doing great, however she appears, she will be there in person this week, in real life, the actress lost her husband awhile back and she is older, may not want to work as much anymore. Looking forward to seeing her reaction to Chance dying and fighting with Billy
I agree, they didn’t even show Abby’s reaction to Chance’s death, and she was there in Niece! Jill is supposed to come on Tuesday, but the show is promoting a fight between her and Billy. Nina should show up at some point maybe for Chance’s service.
Well, Diane DOES look glowed-up pretty in that bright orangey-red… but, imho… COLOR OVERLOAD due to pointless extra fabric. Yikes, I kinda need sunglasses to tamper the vibrance! (Or maybe I s/just dial down my display settings, lol.)
Why was Daniel talking to Tessa like she was a little girl? Cloud animals? I realize Aria isn’t saying much, but Daniel needs to cheer Tessa up with more mature means. She has lost her wife and is trying to raise Aria alone (mostly). She doesn’t need cloud animals. Seeing Diane and Phyllis go at it again was entertaining. They both do “total bitch” really well. So, apparently Devon goes from being stranded in Nice, France to Baltimore, Maryland. Must be nice to have your own jet. Bryton James has made an appearance in Beyond The Gates.

Well, It seems that Loren Lott, who played Devon’s baby sister Ana, is returning to GC.
Audra tells Nate, “All I want is for you to hold me.” TRANSLATION: “All I want is for you to never know about my deal w/Victor and my seduction/almost-sex w/Kyle.”
So Harrison was in Milan w/Summer? Lol, I forgot to wonder who in the heck he was with. Actually, I forgot thinking about him at all and had apparently missed any mention of his whereabouts. Sorry, little dude!
The Writers once again prove that Kyle is a Dumb Dumb.
I did love his needling Audra in the park, lol. Kyle IS at his buffionery best when he thinks he has the upper hand. But Claire and Nate knowwww the Kyle/Audra dynamic is “suss’ – to say the least. Seems like Audra’s jig is about up… which means Kyle’s is soon to be as well.

Yea! Everyone is home. I sort of feel like when you get back in your own bed after a long vacation. I can’t believe Victoria pressuring Claire to see the family before Kyle. Of course she wants to see him first. She directly expressed that was what she needed and would see the family in a few hours, but Victoria continued to press. That’s the first time I’ve noticed her do that toward Claire. Jack and Diane immediately supported Kyle when he wanted to see Claire, even sent their condolences and best wishes. I was surprised that Claire pushed back so hard at Victoria’s pressing her to see Nikki and Victor before Kyle: “Tell him whatever you want; I don’t care.” Yowsa! Go, Claire!
Claire is going to make her own decisions about Kyle, no matter what Victoria and Victor says. Kyle is supposed to tell her about what Audra tried to do, wonder how she will accept his explanation about what happened between him and Audra. So Audra is supposed to lose her funding from Victor. What will she do now about keep Vibrante
I really liked Audra’s blue top, and agree she looked ‘drop dead g” – as always! Loved her ‘knock-’em-dead look alongside Claire’s collared soccer-uniform dowdiness. The Wardrobe department is obviously deliberate in playing to the contrast of these two characters. Well done!

What will Claire (and Victoria), think of dear old grandpa when they find out he’s behind Audra and Kyle’s near dalliance? And is not Nikki implicated, standing “six” while the events unfolded?
Picture Claire storming into the ranch saying “What kind of [insert impolite word] are you to pay that [another impolite word meaning prostitute] to have sex with my boyfriend?” Purchasing sexual services may be a crime even in Wisconsin!

Recall when Claire, Victoria, and Niki found out Victor was funding Audra’s company, they figured the entire plan out, that was months ago. It will be interesting to see how this unfolds..messy I’m sure.
I have never cared whether Nick renews a relationship with Sharon or Phyllis. He loves them both! But the genuine, shy and sheepish look on his face when Sharon asked him when they should discuss the kiss seemed to showcase his recent, growing feelings for Sharon!
100%. He didn’t want to talk about the kiss, I think he has nothing to discuss because he’s already in.

You know how that goes when a Soap character says “never”.
After returning from Nice, the citizens of Genoa City were all able to dig into their trunks and pull out some fresh new outfits to ease them into their arrival in Genoa City! Nikki had her hair done; looked beautiful! Sharon’s top and her hair were stunning (not a fan of her slacks). And Diane looked lovely in red as she has been looking much younger in the brighter colors she has been wearing lately!
I agree, and no one looks the least bit tired or jet lagged. Must be the magic of that fresh Genoa City air!
yes, they had traveling home outfits that they didn’t touch while on the trip. When I’m headed home from a long trip I’m probably re-wearing the least soiled things. haha
Hopefully the clunka-chunka neckpieces will be retired w/the ‘worn once’ resortwear boo-boos, NEVER to be seen again. Some (not a ton, lol) of the resortwear was lovely, but GC women just can’t wear the same outfit twice – even if in another town.
