SHARON W, You will see them again! The last time Sharon ran off Esther was very out of sorts that Sharon did not inform her of her exit, leaving she, Esther, with all the work with no advanced notice. Didn’t see Sharon making arrangements for Crimson Lights with her take off to France but maybe off camera. As you have likely noticed, a lot of important action goes on off camera! a Y&R speciality!

Bummer! I purposely watched Friday in real time and I am beyond disappointed. Even a surprise visit by our local rock star didn’t help my mood. Sidebar: They really need to give Phyllis and Cricket better zingers.
But it always surprises me that Cricket lowers herself to answer back. Like she cozying up to Danny, telling Phylliss “I have everything I want”. Kissy-face, snuggle, snuggle. etc. Well, Its a soap. Its on TV. She’s gotta say something. But Cricket. “When they go low, you go high”. Well, that never worked.

Well, its Friday and the denizens are STILL in GC gabbing away about the man of the hour instead of already have flown over to look him in the eye! Only Daniel, like me, has the presence of mind to not give a wit about Aristotle Dumas! I did see the episode but towards the beginning it was interupted by real life political unrest before returning to network. The previews were eye catching but the one with Jack in the park with a nerdy tour guide about to take he on a treasure hunt, something, had me snickering. Is it… Read more »
The intrigue does seem more Tucker-ish. I hope this GH actor Chatters say is A. Dumas playing Cane is playing Tucker instead. (Waah, boo, then no TSJ…) Seems like viewers would more remember Tucker’s character than Cane’s. Cane’s been gone so long why would viewers care about his return? Well, I guess Lily would care… (and why would viewers care about that, lol?)

Poor Daniel, Phyllis can be such a pain! Please don’t have something bad happen to Damian in France. Amy got a chill down her spine when they said goodbye so that can’t be good. Loved Abby’s travel outfit, jeans and a button up, sleeves rolled. Lastly, not a fan of another “challenge” to be completed while being observed by the mystery person. Ridiculous!!!!

Along with the repetitiveness of Aristotle Dumas we have many, many, many Damian and Amy same conversation. Aren’t we lucky, I can’t believe you forgive me for the big lie, dad was great, family is everything. And Amy squeezes out a few tears of gratitude every single time. She may be taking up where Nikki left off several years ago. Guaranteed if Nikki was on the episode, there would be a closeup of her great big tears. She finally stopped crying and now we have Amy. Oh well, I need to turn my frown into a smile – at least… Read more »
I’m smiling most days because I still love Y&R! But I’m also frowning like you, because the repetitive dialogue is not interesting or intriguing anymore. Add some writers or change some writers so they are challenged to create more dialogue. The dialogue keeps us all involved to maintain our attention until the next crazy event EX. kidnappings, etc.
‘Amy gratitude’ is a story I’m just not feeling. Yay, she is getting treatment and reunited w/family. Yay, the actress is decent. As I had not previously gotten to know/see her at all, for me she is a random character plunked in that I have no connection w/ to feel any emotional pull. I understand her character was on the show many moons ago, but Idr her.
Nikki mentioned to Chelsea that she take Victor more with a grain of salt (what was that she said?) these years so no more big baby doll tears. Once soaps greatest crier.

Ali, thanks for the great screen shot bringing Phyllis into focus at Crimson Lights. It’s a definite “NO” on Phyllis’ dress! LOL
Agreed w/ “NO” to Phyllis’ dress… yet another example of why I think there are new Wardrobe personnel missing the mark and now styling GC women in ‘out-of-character’ outfits. The clothes themselves are lovely; they just don’t fit many of the gals’ already defined vibes. The above mentioned dress doesn’t look to me like anything Phyllis would have actually chosen.

Sharon is a loving mother. Is Tucker McCall really in a prison in India? Does anybody know what he did?

I’m beginning to think recently the way Y&R has been missing the mark is by trying to have all of Genoa City involved in the Aristotle Dumas story. For six weeks every character has tossed around his name, asked if anyone knew who he was, asking who was going to France to meet him at his party, etc. etc. Y&R used to give us approximately three stories a day with certain characters that moved forward to fill out the entire week. Now the repetitive dialogue is just Dumas’ name, no real story at all. Friday’s show was good, but was… Read more »
I liked Victor giving Chelsea her do, calling her out as “a smart cookie” for figuring out Aristotle Dumas is Tucker McCall, only he isn’t. Like these two together Like that he begrudgingly likes her. Does he like her?
After watching the previews, Sharon and Phyllis are going to have severe trauma reliving their experiences with Martin. That’s very cruel. Hope it’s part of a fun escape room and nothing treacherous.

I love Y & R and have been watching, mostly on, since its beginning. I want it to continue for many years going forward. The actors on the show are wonderful and elevate much of the material they are given. Just within the last few years, I have felt we are given a few got-to-see moments, where I am glued to my set. However, much of the episodes are a repeat of how characters feel or trying to convince someone to listen or do what they want. I will always continue to watch to see what is happening in GC.… Read more »

First impressions on next week’s preview: 1. Uber rich ride trains not Uber™. 2. Lucky Sharon and Phyllis have experience completing a lunatic’s challenges broadcast live! 3. Labyrinths are simple: left hand on the left wall, keep it there as you follow the LEFT wall. Avoid panthers (cf. Endeavour, series 3, episode 3), have somebody at the right who runs slower than you. Kyle, convince Audra to drop articles of clothing at intersections – doesn’t help, but adds interest to an otherwise tedious test. 4. Will Claire stream as Audra and Kyle lose themselves? Is the live link Ali’s secret… Read more »
Speaking of Ali‘s secret project. I saw a cuckoo clock in the background of the video. Could Ali be giving us a historical timeline for one of our characters. The curious want to know.

The more Lilly thinks about it she now believes Amanda was telling the truth?! What? All of a sudden, after weeks upon weeks of her accusations and paranoid suspicions that we had to endure, now she’s like “well, I guess Dumas really isn’t coming after Winters.” The writers need to focus and create scripts with real meaning and stop just filling time. I’m hoping things tighten up after the reveal. Watching them fill time with the same stuff day after day to just drop it all at once makes me feel like I’m wasting my time watching. I love the… Read more »
I so agree that the writers need to put more meaning into their stories and not just fill time (or use repetitive dialogue). And I also have been frustrated and disappointed ever since Jordan and Ian’s story ended! Miss them a lot and sending strong wishes for them to come back. Ian is alive; and still hoping Jordan swallowed one of those pills that mimics no pulse in hopes she is still alive!!

UGH! 3/4 of the way through Friday the 13th episode, and they haven’t gotten on the plane.
And 100% through and they are only leaving the house. We’re not getting it this week.

Tucker in prison in India was an interesting bit of information as well as Mariah and Nick bonding. One or both might be clues for future episodes. I like the idea of Nick stepping into a more fatherly role for Mariah as Cassie’s twin more than I do a Nick and Sharon reunion.
I “REALLY” miss Ashley, Traci, Chance and Esther!
