https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stXS2ohmkCA Y&R chatters, please watch this clip! I would love to hear your opinion on this. Y&R really should find this clip and air it. I just mentioned Diane better watch out for Phyllis but I had not seen this yet….I really feel I missed out on this version of Diane. The special effects are very jarring and funny at the same time. To be very honest, it blew me back when I first watched it. Not going to say anymore except to say maybe Diane should think twice about staying dead. Phyllis will get you physically and verbally. Just… Read more »
Yowza! Quintessential Phyllis right there! Good reminder of why everyone is best advised to keep Phyllis in their corner. M.Stafford kills it everytime whether you like her character or not. I’m still putting together all those past Diane Jenkins pieces I have long forgotten and these clips and show flashbacks are helping. GREAT clip , Diane. Thanks!
I agree. Great clip. It reminds or informs us as to why Phyllis and Diane are a volatile combination. I’ll be curious in the long run where Jack will lean.
Apparently Phyllis mowing people down with her car did not end with just Paul and Christine. This clip gives the viewers an idea or reminder of the history between Phyllis and Diane. Diane better be careful. As Ali mentioned recently, we may be getting an old version of bad Phyllis back again. We will have to wait and see.
My Girl!! So flawed, so dramatic, so volatile, and so very aware it……….reformed current day Phyllis is still Phyllis! That protective, burn the enemy to the ground side of her is always going to exist, lying dormant, like a deliciously dangerous guardian of the ones she loves.
I enjoyed Jack’s interaction with Diane this week when he met with her for the first time since her “death”. Peter Bergman is a great actor as he was filled with so many emotions. You could feel Jack’s anger and pain and resentment for Diane. I am sure it was not easy to bring out those feelings very easily after all of these years. Having said that, I was a little surprised that there was not more of a climax build up towards Jack seeing Diane for the first time in many years. I actually thought that Diane may have… Read more »
Does Y&R think we are too stupid to remember there was a body and a corpse with Diane Jenkins? Was there a body and a corpse with Diane Jenkins?

Loved the flashbacks today which helped explain Jack’s complicated relationship with Diane. The flashbacks also highlighted the animosity Phyllis has towards Diane. Can’t wait for next week when the “Red” tornado rolls into LA. Phyllis will be build a wall around Kyle and Summer to fend off this newest threat. Beware Diane, Phyllis has learned a few more tricks.
I enjoyed them as well, as I always enjoys flashbacks. This clip shows Jack and Phyllis taking away Kyle. I am not sure why. We see that Diane truly loves her son but her reaction.

Diane may have inadvertently brought Jack and Allie closer together. I was glad to see them take solace in each other at the same café. Jack and Allie now have a common shared experience to build a relationship. I expect to see Allie in Genova City fairly soon.
I agree that the budding relationship between Jack and Allie seems to be progressing beyond the initial awkwardness/weirdness. It seems to be a very convoluted and bizarre way to have gotten there through Diane Jenkins, though. I wonder if we’ll get any more explanation of how those dots were connected. Diane was just tracking all things Jack and decided this was time/reason to pounce? Random.

I like Michael’s leftover ‘Cat on a Hot Tin Roof’ look and his jaunty attitude. He looks like he’s been locked up somewhere. It’s good to have him more central to a storyline. He will be off to Broadway for rehearsals and his summer run before too long, so I’m just going to appreciate him. I still can’t figure out how far ahead YR tapes. I’ve seen reports that they have as much as 2 months “in the can” these days? Not sure if that’s accurate. Maybe the pandemic has made them put more episodes in the vault just in… Read more »
I’ll tell you what surprised me. That Rey has only been in Genoa City for 4 years. Timetables often trick us. Stuff that seems not that long ago was 6 years ago and visa/versa. Didn’t Rey have a bit of a life as a detective before any family showed up? Who came first? Nikki hitting on the virtuious Arturo or Lola with that amazing food truck? Arturo. That stuff following the Margaritta murder of JT where Sharon joined the police dept. to keep Rey at bay from digging too deep seems a lifetime ago although the actual conking of JT… Read more »
The Rey/Chelsea possibility just hasn’t been all that intriguing to me. I’d like to see renewed (but grounded, lol) conniving from Chelsea rather than eyelash-batting at a bored and boring man. Stealing Rey and making a family w/him has seemed kinda ‘eh, nothing else to do w/these two’ to me. (On the plus side, at least that would have moved her on from Adam.) I hope to see a firecracker Chelsea gain success through wheeling/dealing w/ the pull of the con luring her back… just not to more ridiculousness i.e. fake paralysis and talking to herself. M.C.Egan is so dynamic,… Read more »
Well, SueW, you SHOULD find Rey/Chelsea intriguing. It would have been so off the wall. How were they going to manage that? Rey loves Sharon. And I see you got in another Rey punch, calling him “boring”again! I am somewhat spent with Chelsea and they better come up with something intresting for her as some of us are running out of patience in her direction. Chelsea can be nice, sparkle, walk around as if perfectly normal but the truth is she has a very skewed take on the world and her place in it that is not about to leave… Read more »
This is what I see—Genoa City motto: “The Whitest, Straightest City in America”. Perhaps since Allie is coming to town, they had to move Rey out to maintain their status quo? And they couldn’t let Allie bring any of her Asian family with her apparently—nope, Keemo is killed off and she isn’t close to her mom. I’m baffled and very disappointed by the decision making behind the scenes. What are they afraid of? Who do they think their audience is? By filling the canvas with predominantly white, blue-eyed people, they are making quite a statement.
Hmmm. All I see when I watch YnR is a talented cast bringing crazy fun stories to life that I enjoy escaping in. ‘Statements’ are lost on me: but for this Chat, I would have given no thought to ‘one race is cast as another race is put out.’ I just like the show.
sueW, Ellen is quite right. When viewers don’t see themselves reflected or represented it matters. Y&R seems to only want to play with the straights and really with only one color in the crayon box.
You both have such valid points that I completely respect. Can’t agree that pertains to all viewers though, as I myself don’t find YnR’s diversity or lack of detracting from my love of the show. I do get that others may. But this viewer? – just watchin’ for whatever soapiness they’re selling – and I’ve been watching for eons… and suspect I will continue to regardless of any increase or decrease in diverse actors/stories. (But do know I take real-life issues more seriously outside of soap operas – I’m not oblivious in all areas of Life, lol!)
For me, you are preaching to the choir. This seems to be exactly what Y&R seems to be projecting right now.

We got 2 new sets this week. Noah’s bedroom and the restaurant in L.A. I hope Y&R continues to do this more often. It is always much more realistic when we see different sets as well as visually pleasing to see on the show.
But was that Noah’s bedroom this week or the girls’, because there was an old rotary phone in this one and the last time, I don’t remember seeing that type of art on the walls.
Oh. But with budget cuts consider how surprising it is that Noah’s one night stand gets her own bedroom while Y&R’s got townies stacked up in the halls trying to get room at The Grand Phoenix with only limited housing for for the creme de la creme of family dynastys in town.
I digress, but two who do not need their own mansion with such limited space on the soundstage would be Billy & Lily who can certainly save all their boring on screen bantering for the office.
I am confused now with the twist of Ashland Locke being framed by Jesse Gaines or someone else. We know that Ashland was the one who was responsible for having Michael the american held captive. We know this is true because we have seen and heard Ashland talking and texting someone in Peru about Michael. If Ashland is a good guy and is being framed then don’t understand why he didn’t want MIchael snooping around. The only explanation I can think of is that Ashland actually needed to detain Michael in order to help clear Ashland’s name and prove his… Read more »
I actually thought of this myself arriving at the belief that it doesn’t make sense that Ashland is being framed. Because Ashland looks so guilty but keeps going around claiming he has been set up you want to think if he wasn’t he would never have the gutts to continue this ridiculious charade. Being a soap you look for the twist. But for any of us paying attention we also know that Y&R in recent years has completely abandoned the concept of the twist to straightforwardly play out only what we actually are presented with as the reality on the… Read more »
I am very curious how this is going to play out as I do believe that Ashland loves Victoria.

Well I don’t think Adam thought it would be that easy….. I’m sure there will be more twist and turns but looks like Adam is the new CEO. The positions rotates a new person in it every few years, so I guess its about time.

There is something about the relationship between Michael and Victor that I love. I think the actors are just so comfortable and have a friendship that seeps into their scenes together. Just subtle moments, such as how Victor will show playful smile towards him.
Actually, Rory(Noah) was a full time fitness trainer before he started auditioning to be an actor. This is how he knew Cait(Tessa), he was her trainer.
This is why he first auditioned to play Tanner Watts, but the producers didn’t like his singing voice, but they liked him, so they brought him back as Noah.
And his sister Mariah apparently needs to seek counseling, because I don’t understand for the life of me why she keeps inviting that boy to participate in her and Tessa wedding plans, when she knows how he feels about her. I was re-watching episodes from last year and find it interesting that Noah took a jab at Mariah about how her and Tessa got together in the first place. He wouldn’t tell her about what happened with the girl in London, but he told Tessa. Tessa has never told Mariah and Noah once again seems to be confiding in Tessa.… Read more »

A riled up, angry, powerful Jack is sexy!
Way sexier than puppy dog desperate Jack.

Totally agree w/your take on Chelsea. Which is exactly why I want to see her twisty self get embroiled in something other than man-snaring

I 1st saw Noah’s bed several weeks ago
But was that Noah’s bedroom this week or the girls’, because there was an old rotary phone in this one and the last time, I don’t remember seeing that type of art on the walls.
This set was different than the one we saw before. I don’t know if this is his bedroom or the girl he was with as Sharod points out?
Oh. But with budget cuts consider how surprising it is that Noah’s one night stand gets her own bedroom while Y&R’s got townies stacked up in the halls trying to get room at The Grand Phoenix with only limited housing for for the creme de la creme of family dynastys in town.

Maybe it’s one generic bedroom set that can have props/decorations swapped in and out as Noah swaps ‘one-and-dones’.
THAT is exactly what it is.
