Lately I find there are too many scenes consisting of a prolonged harangue of hateful language towards Ashland and Diane. It makes me cringy and uncomfortable. Yeah I get it – they’re bad guys, but this is a cop out. Easy to write stuff like that, but so much better to show emotions through actions, and this show has the time to do just that. I like the classy way that Tracy keeps a civil relationship with Diane – keep your enemies close!

I liked the way Diane had the common sense to know it would not behove her to get caught up with Ashland as two baddies. I can’t think through how these two are alike or a reason for them to join forces as town outcasts. I hope Ashland doesn’t get murdered as there will be such great conflict with Victoria taking Ashland back next week. Here a real Victoria/Ashland love story can begin with all the scouling Newman’s lead by “Big Daddy” surrounding them. And if Ashland is to be murdered is it not more interesting to play with Victoria… Read more »

I found the episode being discussed last week with the King of Queens characters appearing on the Young and the Restless. I wanted to post it before it is unavailable. I feel so sad for Doug when he watches Carrie kissing Jack.

I don’t care who loves who. Jack & Phyllis are a ridiculously matched couple. Jack needs to get to the altar with that beautiful woman with the short dark hair who was taking dictation in the Winters/Chancellor board room the other day. Until Diane is ready…

When Elena had the dream about Imani and Nate at the apartment, I was hoping she would have dreamt seeing Imani and Nate kiss. I was a little disappointed Imani only spoke about what she wanted to do with Nate, as she mentioned taking a shower with him. I still very much enjoyed the scene. I hope we see Elena have more dreams of the two of them. If Nate can’t be a bad guy, at least Elena can dream that he is with Imani.

I really am disappointed with Y&R turning Ashland from the supposed Locke Ness Monster into A Wimpy Whiney Puppy. This story now totally lacks punch. Letting Victor Newman win ALL THE TIME, is getting boring, old and stale.

We were promised ruthless when Ashland was introduced. Instead, we were given a charming, self-centered, hypocrite. Ashland came to Genova City to get the Newman fortune. His plan was all smoke and mirror. It was destined to disintegrate. With part of the Newman fortune in his pocket, he can continue to con them. Next step is getting Victoria back. Ashland has been making inroads each time he sees her. With so much animosity pointed his way, Victoria is sure to feel empathy for him. I bet he shows up at Newman with his packed bag, the restraining order in his… Read more »

I could totally see Ashland kidnapping Harrison and fleeing the country. He’s a man who’s rapidly loosing everything he holds dear…….and a butt load of money!

Imani see’s nothing wrong with laying her head on another woman’s pillow. Nate should’ve set her straight before it got to this point. Amanda better put a stop to this. Elena lives too close to Devon for this sloppy drama.

This why I think Amanda is all over Imani. She can not have Elena heart broken and single. And you are ABSOLUTELY ONE THOUSAND PERCENT CORRECT, Nate should have nipped this in the bud a long time ago. That nonsense about him saying Imani is not flirting with him, is crap. He knows very well what that woman is doing and I thinks he enjoys the ego stroking.

I’m late to the Chat this week—I just caught up on all the episodes. I enjoyed reading everyone’s comments. Good drama this week, right? Poor Jack—so happy for a moment, then so hurt by Phyllis by the end of the week. She is a self-centered person Jack, just leave her behind. The other big impression the week left on me was about Kyle. He is a grown man who seems very scarred by the loss of his mother as a young boy. So why. WHY???? What is his excuse for keeping Harrison away from Tara? Tara is not a danger… Read more »

You make an excellent connection I had totally missed re: Tara… yes, Kyle open to the 2nd chance w/his wayward mother should give him empathy for Tara as Harrison’s mother.

Summer needs to listen to her husband and stay out of Jack and Phyllis’ business. For the sake of her marriage, she needs to leave it alone. I’m already seeing the divide. Kyle will stand by his mother.

It did bother me when Phyllis tried to smooth things over with Jack she used Diane as an excuse for her actions. That this was all Diane’s fault. Regardless of how you feel about Diane, no one forced you to flaunt your relationship with Jack in her face, that was your decision Phyllis. Phyllis has no control over Diane and her decisions but she can control how she responds to them. I agree with Amanda, it would have looked so much better for Phyllis to just own up to what she did, say I’m sorry and this is why I… Read more »

I am here for the Ali and Noah romance. I think they could be really cute together. It is kinda giving me the Kyle and Lola vibes when they first met.

I hope you’re right. Good point about Kyle/Lola vibes. But cute as Noah and Allie are, not sure yet if I’m finding the two together all that exciting. I say leave the cute to Moses and Faith. I’m hoping for more fire and complexity from N + A than ‘nice guy woos hard-to-get nice girl as they trade sassy banter.’ Allie is sweet, but rather bland thus far. I’m waiting for her character to develop more grit. And… I wonder if Tessa will be surprised to find herself bothered by Noah’s finally moving on… that could bring some twisty, soapy… Read more »

A chatter made a comment a few weeks ago asking why Nate hasn’t told Imani to back off and I completely agree. I don’t think Elena should have to be the one to do so and it needs to come from Nate. I do not think Imani has done anything yet that could be considered too over the line when it comes directly how she has interacted with Nate, but I do think she needs to be careful because if the feelings are not reciprocated then it could start to look like sexual harassment if it goes too far. This… Read more »

I think it was actually week before this last when Nate was speaking w/Imani re:Naya, and I remember thinking then that Imani seemed to be genuinely speaking w/ a friend (albeit one she wants to bed, lol) instead of blatantly drooling and flirting. I haven’t yet seen all of their scenes this week, but Imani IS allowed to have a friend in Nate (kinda like Chelsea w/Rey? ahahaha!) Be attracted all you want to the other person, just nip it! and be appropriate and respectful. But again, I haven’t yet finished the week to see if Barracuda Imani is circling… Read more »

Ummm hello Devon!…. The reason Nate didn’t speak up in your meeting is because you are too harsh on him when he just speaks an idea you don’t agree with. Devon needs to take a deep breathe at this point. Nate speaks up and Devon don’t like the ideas. Nate doesn’t speaks up and Devon don’t like that he kept quiet. For right now, I am happy Devon’s not my boss. I would be walking on eggshells around him.

Diane is winning over Phyllis. I don’t fully trust Diane and I know we will see her manipulative side come out, but she is playing the long game and Phyllis is going for the short satisfaction win. So short that her gloating only lasted couple of minutes before it all came crashing down when Jack walked back into the Grand Phoenix. Phyllis is also giving Diane the satisfaction of knowing she makes Phyllis insecure because it is so obvious she is purposely wanting to flaunt that her and Jack just had sex. All Diane has to do is keep acting… Read more »
