I don’t like this storyline with Nikki especially that they are giving her Vodka in her IV. How horrible to do that to an alcoholic, to anyone! I voted to keep Claire at least for awhile ,she really showed her true colors now. I have no idea who her Aunt Jordan is and her connection with the Newmans. But looks like this will all be revealed on Thanksgiving. Jordan is planning on the whole family being there, but why? What is her gripe with the Newmans
Help! Who is Aunt Jordan and why does she want to exploit Nikki’s alcoholism?
It must be hard to play Devon. He is either being a totally entitled snotty jerk or a sappy boyfriend/father. He mostly just reacts to others without having his own story. Seems boring.
It is interesting that Nate is acting rather surprised that Victor and Victoria turned on him. ( although I don’t really feel like Victoria did). If you recall, Nate broke with Abby because he said he didn’t want to be involved with the Newman family after they tried to hide the fact that Nick accidently killed Ashland. Why was being involved with Victoria any different? I guess the difference was power and prestige as Nate wasn’t involved in the corporate world at the time when he was dating Abby. He was still in the medical field.
I liked Nate better as a doctor, not as a corporate raider
I love that Nina is not very fond of Sharon. It is not often that we see any characters that don’t like Sharon other than Phyllis and Nikki. I loved when Nina asked Abby to join her and Chance and Sharon for breakfast. I don’t think Sharon liked that very much. Sharon is really feeling the difficulties and competition of being in a romantic relationship with Chance. I think it could be compelling without Nagging Nosy Nina. Just a few months ago, she was attacking Abby, when she first found about her cheating on Chance with Nate. Stay in your lane lady. Chance is a grown ass man. And doesn’t need his mommy interfering.
I agree and Summer is competition. Chance is attracted to both of them, but he did end up going to Sharon on Friday. Although I think Summer will try to seduce him. She is her mother’s daughter
I wanted to mention how nice it is to see the characters wearing jewelry again. Not too long ago, we did not see the characters wearing any jewelry or wearing any nail polish for some reason that I never understood. I loved Christine’s necklace last week, it was a very bold piece. I also wanted to add I loved Abby’s light pink dress she wore at the restaurant when Chance, NIna and Sharon went for breakfast. It was very pretty with her dangling earrings.
I am really enjoying this storyline with Nikki and Claire. I really appreciated the house set. It seems like ages since we have seen a set this large and one that doesn’t look like any other set that we have already seen. This storyline reminds me of the stories we would get back in the day on the show. There is lots of drama and intensity. When Nikki realized that Claire had put vodka in her IV, and that she was drunk, I was actually devastated for her. Miss Nikki needs to pull a full blown Jack Abbott hissy fit moment, and throw a chair out that bedroom window!
Gloria is back!! Remember back in the day when she and Jack were “an item?”
OMG. Jill has an executive place for Chance Chancellor at Chancellor Winters! Lets neuter every character with any ounce of an independent spirit into more big business. That is definiately the way to go!
All men must be put on the Ken doll conveyor belt at the Barbie factory. Something must be done about Chance’s unruly hair. They can give him the Nick style buzz cut so he will fit in at the office. And his corporate suit must be very boring too—a full Ken transformation is needed. Ugh. No doctors, no nurses, no cops, no lawyers with actual cases, no teenagers, rarely any children, Tessa’s career is stalled, Sharon has gone corporate, etc, etc. GC= Genoa Corporation
If you possibly want to see that, having some variety in characters working and/or different interaction of those you mentioned above then join me in watching General hospital(LOL). It happens daily there with great writing. However and nevertheless I am still a solid Y&R fan/viewer in spite of this one dimensional story lines; it ;s going to get better I feel with the end of the writers strike..maybe??
I watch GH and I agree. They do a good job involving all their characters and showing workplace scenarios . But I also like Y&R & B&B too
Just read that Colleen Zenk has joined Y&R as Aunt Jordan. This is an awesome hire for she is a dynamic actress; portrayed Barbara Ryan on As the World Turns. She will be a fantastic addition to this story line…loved watching her in her prior soap role which she received Emmy nominations three times..
Oh yes, she was very good in that role!
Chatters, please tell me who is the woman in the scene with Claire? She must have been at Y&R before I started watching! (Looking extremely bad for Nikki! The chance for Nikki’s escape looks very grim at this point; since she looks “soused!”)
Please let Victoria spin out of control! I like the character more when she throws caution and her hair to the wind! I was thinking as she walked out on Victor, who will she bump into at the Athletic Club? She doesn’t have many options unless she picked up a waiter or that guy sometimes working at CL.
I really love the Adam and Victoria exchanges. Like when he said, “It’s a gift” and she just looked at him. I want to see them eventually become allies, but for now, it’s great!
THE PHONE SEZ Chance Chancellor is getting a new career! You have got to be kidding me! He just got this current head of police (or whatever it is) job a month ago! Josh Griffith doesn’t know who his character’s are! Mommy doesn’t like the job so he’s out. “Job Switching” (an I Love Lucy episode) is one of the few things this soap is able to offer, currently. Amen, Gary. This job switching is so monotonous. If Sharon has her way, Chance will be her new barista so she can keep an on him. The only job that seems to make sense as a private detective. Maybe there’s a little bit last risk in that.
