The other day I posted a comment saying I didn’t understand whatever happened to the letter that Jessie Gaines had shown us in the previews. The letter was apparently written by Camilla Rhodes herself stating the reasons why she did not leave any of her estate to Ashland Locke. Gaines says he will read the letter aloud detailing all of Ashland’s crimes. He threatens Billy and Lily by telling them they need to publish the video or Gaines will send it globally. I got the impression that Camilla Rhodes believed that Ashland was capable of doing great things on his own and she believed he’d be better off if he did them without the help of her money. Character building, if you will.
Yes but then this new evidence came stating differently than what we were told before.
I wonder if Devon and Amanda will decide to have a baby and then Abby and Chance will be a family with Dominic, how much Mariah will break down if Tessa won’t agree to start a family right away and gets closer to Noah.
It appears that Thursday’s version of sneak previews added some scenes that weren’t included in Wednesday’s episode and might have unintentionally dropped the ball regarding the fate of ChancComm. In one scene Tessa and Noah are at Crimson lights and she is telling him, in front of Mariah, that they should work as partners, but the big revelation is in a following scene where Adam is asking Billy how does it feel like to be unemployed? I’m surprised Amanda is not showing any signs yet that she is getting annoyed at Devon for being there more for Dominic and Abby than her. He missed meeting her and Imani and at Society. I just wonder when Amanda will change her attitude.
RANT: The dream episode featuring Phyllis and Phyllis’ sequins, and Phyllis’ hair, and Phyllis’ ego left me annoyed…again. It’s as though Michelle Stafford is one of EP’s on the show and has a say in its content. So self absorbing. She’s on our screens nearly everyday, even in scenes where it doesn’t make sense for her to be, i.e. the wedding in Tuscany. Ever since Sharon’s battle with cancer I’ve been waiting to sink my teeth into a storyline. I mean go deep with emotion and become invested. But it hasn’t happened, not even with Sharon’s diagnosis. Yes, Sandra. It is the writing and without the story being presented to the viewer. What is there to invest in? You said it. It is all surface and never quite gets to the depth of the matter.
There are too many storylines being talked about and not shown or just flashbacks like Summer & Kyle’s wedding and the trial of Amanda’s grandfather to name a few. We want to see what’s happening not just talk about it
No disrespect, but the Abbotts are shot out. Two years and they can no longer provide a Thanksgiving in their own home as Y&R can’t afford a spread much less a dining room that the house already comes with!
OK, for tecnicals I realize the family is spread out on personal business this year which is the excuse, but everybody knows what’s really going on… BC.

There was once a very long table and an incredible spread at the Newmans where classical music was playing which annoyed Ali. HA!
I thought the exact same thing. So sick of Society. I really miss the Abbott;s dining table.
They used to have lavish feasts at the Abbotts and the Newmans, No parties or get togethers anymore . Miss those days!
Last comment for the night, what if Abby had to hid that Chance is Alive and decided to go in hiding with him until it’s safe leaving Devon more time to fully bond with his biological son and with everyone thinking Chance is dead and Abby us so stunned by grief that victor gives Devon his parental rights back because Dominic needs a father figure in his life. Interesting ideas. What we know from the preview is that Chance does not have amnesia, no new face to be unwrapped from bandages, fully cognizant. Who like me was surprised that we would see Abby and Chance Chancellor reunite in each others arms instead of make us wait for the big moment live? I have come to expect these big giveaways in the previews from time to time, but wonder if Chatters feel this is a mistake? Soaps, traditionally, have always been about the suspense of what will happen next and making us wait & wait & wait….
I think Y&R is not making us wait for anything, because the show may be ending when the contract with CBS ends in 2023.
I think we waited long enough. Chance has been missing for months. I’m glad Abby found Chance ,but it does seem lackluster after all this time. I really thought they would go the burn route and uncover his new face .
I don’t know if Chance and Abby will come right back to GC ,but there will be repercussions, maybe Chance isn’t ready to be a father, After so long and everything he has gone through he might have faked his own death .
Lily I admire your standing by your man but girl he’s only being gallant now after he royally messed up. Billy is a fragile ego dude and he’s going to resent you like he resented Victoria when he was out of work due to doing something dumb at one of the many jobs and titles gifted to him. Then Billy spiraled into self destruct mode because Victoria was too busy working, building her career and picking up his pieces. Lily don’t put yourself in the position to be Victoria 2.0. I disagree. I believe Billy has changed, at least as of now. I think Lily has been the woman to do that for him. She allows Billy to screw up, let’s him know it. But doesn’t bash him over the head about it. This is what it means to a supportive and understanding mate.
Agree! He will remain emotionally stunted until he accepts responsibility for leaving little Delia unsupervised in that car at night with an unruly puppy. He is stuck there because he has never faced the consequences of his actions. He’s been spiraling ever since.
This is a Billy character assessment I would like to see but don’t think Y&R grabs this in its fullness. Only the realization of his own duplicity in Delia’s death would allow me to get off the character’s back. Suppossedly he came to a resolution with the Delia death many years ago, but with Billy all the coming full circle is always BS. The truth of the Montovo death rising to the surface freed Adam and although different circumstances, could do something similar for Billy.
I totally agree with this! Billy has been blaming Adam all this time ,Chloe too, If Billy didn’t leave Delia alone in the car with the puppy this accident never would have happened. I hope that someone points this out and Makes Billy realize his part in all this
All true, Hope Lily takes Jill up on her offer to run Chance Com just like Victoria is running Newman, Power to both women they can be competitive in the business world

When Phyliss was talking to Daniel. I keep hoping they would just recast the role and bring and aged up Lucy to be friends with Faith and Moses. They need a circle also on that note maybe the will SORA Johnny and Katie then they can all hang together. After all people go to boarding school 3 and comeback 18 in 6 moths or less. I was also wondering why Phyllis wouldn’t be calling her sister on Thanksgiving. She only has one. If Phyllis is going to be calling up family, she should be calling Avery as well to say hi. Amanda is always talking to Phyllis about her new found sister. Phyllis never mentions hers. Phyllis reconnected with her sister after a long time as well. Phyllis and Amanda both share this experience.
It bugs Phyllis that the great Avery Bailey Clark is her better half + Avery knows how to cook a mean Thanksgiving where Phyllis has to order out to boil water so this further preys on her nerves at holiday time –

Yeah, you’d think Y&R would grab onto the potential. Instead of Phyllis just going back to Jack, a Phyllis, Gloria triangle, (with Gloria getting dumped with Jack wrongly choosing Phyllis in the end) but Kamna in CA you have been burned before and know Y&R doesn’t have the imagination with you only “wishful thinking”…
The previews for next week only left me with one thought New Chance is so hot.

I didn’t think I’d like the Phyliss centered episode. I was so wrong. I love her taking stock of herself and realizing she was her own worst enemy in her relationship with Jack. In case of infidelity, not only is important for your spouse to forgive you and move on if you choose to stay together. It’s also important for you forgive yourself if you were the cheater or your guilty and or insecurities of when will your spouse want payback will eat at you and cause you to behave irrationally like Phyliss tends to do and not lean into… Read more »
Hmmm. Sharon liked but no girlfriends. Phyllis scorned but does have female hook-ups. Something to think about… I was charmed when Sharon explained her positive energy towards Phyllis in remembering how kind she had been to her during her cancer, even though it was only Phyllis’ dream. “Oh, yeah, well, that was life & death”, says Phyllis, uneasy in taking the compliment.
Happy Thanksgiving Ali and YR Chatter community. I am really grateful for this community and having a place to discuss and hear opinions about Y&R. Ali you have really given us all a great outlet and great content about one our favorite soaps. I’m sure I’m not alone in being thankful for you and your dedication to this site and the chatters. Hope you enjoyed the wedding Ali and got to swirl your cape around! I always like to hear what you will be making for Thanksgiving even though ours is over. I still remember the mix of popcorn and other goodies that always sounded good to munch on.
