Hi Ali,
I have been watching you on Sundays, and thanks for the birthday greeting. Have not missed any episodes for 6 months. The very best in a long time. I was totally surprised about bringing the old ranch back. Since they didn’t get to see it’s glory one last time before firebug Sharon. Hasn’t she played the best crazy lady most recently. It’s been a great season <3

Here’s the correct word for the lovely sun room: the conservatory.

FYI…soap hub has a good side by side photo comparison of the ranch house now and then.

I am sorry I could not be in the chat this week when it is such a big week! This Early Childhood college course is taking up all of my free time. Is Claire supposed to be getting her E.C.E diploma as she had said she was? I don’t believe it if she says she is. I never see her on her laptop doing anything. Having said that…. The Old Ranch!! What a surprise! When I first saw the preview I originally thought that we were going to see inside the stable all decorated with lights and hay stacks with… Read more »

I love anytime we get a new set, but the new mansion was especially nice! I never liked the Newman mansion after it was rebuilt from the fire. I especially like all the oak and the glass terrarium area Victor and Devon were talking in. Hopefully Sharon doesn’t set fire to this place too!

I’m confused why it hasn’t come out that Lily gave Victor the info about the Odyssey company. Is this a blip in he writing or will it be a major plot point later? Lily omitted this info when speaking with Jill and Billy hasn’t questioned or called her out on it. Not liking Lily right now and can’t wait for her to get what’s coming!

Lily has ‘plumb wore out’ the high road she used to clomp so earnestly on… it crumbled away, bit by self-righteous bit…

The new ranch it’s beautiful, I liked the flashbacks, those were nice flashbacks. So next week both Jill and Ashley are back , again , I wish we had seen Ashley’s progress, I just felt like they rushed her treatments, it was off screen and now poof she is all better like nothing happened

How? How? Did this new ranch appear without Nikki knowing? But I do love the new/old set.

I wondered this too. The only thing I thought is she was probably too consumed with running around town inserting herself into Jack/Dianne’s personal life. I can’t wait to see her reaction when she learns it was all an act.

I usually watch Y&R while doing dishes and cleanup after my son goes to bed. I got to watch Fridays show of the ranch reveal and the old flashbacks for the first time in a long time curled up on the couch with a candle on and the fireplace lit. It was the perfect episode to watch feeling all cozy.

Well, ALI, I am flabbergasted for YOU, YOU, YOU! HOME! I was going to say as I watched the scene unfold that the real surprise was that Y&R had created a front door for the Newman horsey room, but Wa La! The whole shebang! its crazy! How did Victor do it? Complete with identical replaced accessories. It IS a fantasy. But a pleasing one for long time cast & fans who could never mentally relocate to the new one room. Where is this located? If it is on the ranch property how did Nikki escape seeing it be built? I… Read more »

Is this another Y&R anniversary for Nikki? I guess she won’t be divorcing Victor now. This new old ranch completely changes the life & projectory for this couple. Wait til the kids see it. I like the striped cowboy drapes at the back window. Y&R could have taken more time with this introductory scene and have Nikki completely breaking down and crying for 5 minutes unable to speak. The magnificent furnishings and objects de art make this quite unreal but who cares? This is really going to perk up the show quite a bit. For years i have been reading… Read more »

Feel like the new house has been normalized & accepted by everyone too quickly. The replacement is a mind numbing shocker. It is a turn back in time. Nikki might want to let heading Chancellor go to go back to serving tea & charity work as a dilatante. I do think the house is a wonderful respite for her after the terror of Aunt Jorden. Nikki said herself she has not been this happy for a long time. Nikki getting her old house back should bring a closing peace to her.

Nikki is often clueless… going through much of her glorious life in gilded tunnel vision. It’s good to be Queen…

Jack said some cruel unkind things to Diane so she goes to his arch ememy with a plan to crush him? Who does this? This is actually true to Diane’s past vindictive character although she has changed.

If I’m remembering correctly, he didn’t want Nikki to know he owned the mansion. So he had his friend Douglas pretend he was the owner and Victor the employee.

Fun day for all viewers, whenever you starting watching. This episode had old, new, and future ranch stories to enjoy. The flashback milestones in the story, the beauty of the characters, the soapy drama, and the love amongst the families keep us engaged and entertained. This was perfect for me. I started watching in time to see the ranch shortly before it burned, but none of the early days of Victor and Nikki. The flashbacks were so exquisite with over the top decor, design, wardrobe, hair and makeup, etc. They retold a great love story and this one will remain a… Read more »

I never really cared for the new ranch. No front door was weird too. Love the new ranch. It looks almost like the original that Sharon burned down. Where has Niki been staying. Did she leave the old ranch that morning and they did all the work in one afternoon? haha. nonetheless, I’m very happy with the new set. I couldn’t take my eyes off the funeral! Sharon was tormented! She seems to be on the verge of cracking in half and letting all her secrets and crimes out of the bag! Juicy! Phyllis is not going to let up… Read more »

Do you get the sense there is more to Phyllis’ obsession with this? I know it’s right within character, but I keep thinking about Sharon’s blackout. Phyllis is a tad extra on a good day tho…
