I agree that the Newmans have warped and weird forgiveness policies. Tessa is forgiven but we all hate Sally. Ashland lies and crimes forgivable but Phyllis is still needing to prove herself over and over again.
I don’t understand why there is so much tension between Nick and Phyliss this week.
This was a very interesting week. I like the new Noah a lot. I want to be blown away by Sally’s dress for Victoria but I wasn’t it. I think that it was an upgrade from the other dress but it wouldn’t have be breathtaking to me. I think the dress was elevated basic at least. Victoria is kind of a basic person.
Just watched Friday’s wedding episode. Love every minute of it. It was so special in every way. Tessa singing had me welling up. Cait Fairbanks is a star and I hope Y&R has finally realized that.
Who sang it better G, Traci at Abby’s wedding or Tessa at Victoria’s wedding?
Oh, Tessa is excellent (Sharod) – completely lovely, But Traci singing at Abby’s wedding grabbed at my personal soul. Although the idea of Abby getting married doesn’t rock my world, the particulars of that wedding mesmorized me as I watched the key moment when Abby appeared and Traci began to sing dozens of times. Somehow Y&R created that magic moment at Chancellor where Victoria’s wedding was just overall worth the price of admission. Yes G., I thought the idea of comparing Traci and Tessa might intrigue you. In my opinion, they were both excellent and astonishing. But, like you, I rewatched Abby at the top of the stair with Victor, and Traci exhale “when….will you find love” a 100 times and I felt something so deeply I will always remember that moment.
Oh, yes. It was When Will You Find Love to the tune of Nadia’s theme. There are official words to the music of Nadia’s theme but Traci made up her own! When Y&R goes into Nadia’s theme for a special moment its nice but since I have been hearing this played since the year one I’m a tad used to it. No need to worry by revealing anything. I literally froze still, then burst out with a cry when Traci opened her mouth to sing. I’m telling you it was a moment I will never forget on a show that I adore.
S, you have jacked me up and I just sought out the moment we describe on YouTube. I like when Traci sings, “Search, and you will find…” and they have a close-up of Jack smiling so proudly and happily in that way of his… It is captivating as at this point in the story (as now) Jack is on a hunt for the true love of his life as his mother told him he will soon find. …oh and yes the POTUS took over local news in CT. At the time Y&R was to air we saw Air Force 1 just sitting on the tarmac of Bradley International Airport. Just sitting there…why interrupt regularly scheduled programming to stare at a plane.
The idea of it so intertaining and amusing as long as you’re not the one getting pre-empted. I have to laugh. In southern Ca. whenever someone robs a 7-11we go to all coverage as the cops chase the petty thief down the freeway…
The idea of busting up a wedding with “I object” is such an entertainment fantasy. Who among the Chaters has done that in real life?
I can admit. I didn’t watch this week to see the wedding, or to see if Billy exposed Ashland’s secret. I was on DRESS WATCH! This was Sally’s moment to SHINE. My girl carped THE DAMN diem” Now. I’m popping a squat for the fallout. I saw Monday’s show Phyllis rolled her eyes so hard after learning about Sally’s dress I thought her eyes would roll out of her ears! Next up. Lauren. Why wasn’t Johnny and Katie at their mother’s wedding? It’s a huge day for Victoria! Where were the kids? We know they are in the house. Little Harrison was there, Ashland’s son, so why not Victoria’s children? What was the point of flying them out to Milan? This didn’t make any sense. Jt was very strange. Did they have something better to do with the nanny Nikki hired like playing video games or finger painting? What is going on? Are they going to the reception at least? Unlike ABC, CBS doesn’t have vaccine mandates. Not naming names, but some of YR’s talent have refused the vaccines. That’s just the actors, we can’t forget about the shows crew. So they have to follow guidelines, there’s only a few kid allowed on set especially in a group setting like the wedding. But I do think they should’ve been more creative filming Johnny and Katie scenes this week. Harrison was dressed for the wedding, he was the ring bearer! But we’re supposed to believe Johnny and Katie was playing video games with the nanny? What a waste!
At least we know where Christian was. He lives with Keemo now.

I loved Ashland’s silver tuxedo. He looked very handsome as it matched his silver hair. I don’t think I have ever seen this colour tuxedo before. Mr. Locke looked very debonair for the occasion. I am not sure how I feel about the neckline of Victoria’s dress. It was not my favourite, but then again maybe that suits her body type best.
I forgot to mention that Victoria’s dress looked like a Greek Goddess style.
It is becoming apparent there will be a Noah and Tessa pairing again. Noah is planning to move back to Genoa City and when Noah was telling this information to Summer and Kyle and Tessa he looked right at Tessa when he said there was something more out there for him. It was the look in his eye as he said those words that gives the viewers this hint. Noah also said he didn’t realize how much he missed Tessa until he saw her again. The Wedding was too tidy. So either they kill Jesse Gaines, Ashland not dying or Victor plans to take Newman-Locke from Victoria when he does, because we have got to have some drama in this storyline. Also, for some reason I don’t think the officiant was real. I know, I am expecting too much from this writing team.

I have romance in my soul and liked this wedding as is
Loved the scene with Billy sharing his feeling with Lily, and it was so believable, and so unhate-able. I can 100% relate to his feelings, I have felt that way for myself, and for the characters on the show at times. It would be tough watching everybody accept Ashland as if he is better than Billy, good enough, and more worth forgiving, and therefore more worth loving than Billy.
I also thought this was a wonderful scene between Billy and Lily. Billy was definitely in touch with his feelings of insecurity. Lily does seem to attract insecure males who feel they need to prove themselves in ways that are hurtful. The question is will Lily hang in there until Billy gets his act together. My vote is no. I think she’s gained enough confidence to recognize this pattern.
Awwwww, Victoria hugged Sally! I like it! Now let’s see a double date with Victoria/Ashland and Adam/Sally.
Ellen, I know how you feel about Summer and her lack of professional pedigree. But where was the so call Newman Family Loyalty. Nikki was all over Sally about what she did to Summer, but when it came to the wedding dress. I see their loyalty went out the window to Summer. I am glad Victoria is not my Aunt.
Then again Nikki killed Kyle’s mother. I don’t know how he can stand to be anywhere near her, but Summer expects it. He has to swallow his feelings all the time at Newman family events. Seeing Victoria wearing a wedding dress she loves seems like a small thing for Summer to accept to me. (Of course we are supposed to forget that Nikki killed Diane in order to buy this Summer-Kyle carefree romance, but history is history).

Nikki can be in a murders club all by herself. She has apparently taken out a few people. And one of them may be Delia. She was also willing to let Tessa freeze in the woods. My, my. Billy, might should have believed her when she threaten him.

Yes, Victoria, Sally Spectra coming together to share a hug was awesome, but with a tepid little warning or scolding from Victoria. You gotta have it!
So like Nikki with her stuck up nose in the air to speak of the “audacity of that woman” (where those her exact words?) in planting the better dress for Victoria to wear in her closet. The lower classes always outrage Nikki.
Maybe Nikki gets especially annoyed by someone like Sally because of Nikki’s own humble beginnings. Don’t be so insecure Nikki! You’re drowning in money and have literally gotten away with multiple murders (well, at least manslaughters). Count your blessings and be more gracious to people clawing their way to the top. A little ambition is a good thing. Women will get exactly nowhere without it.

I would have preferred to see Kyle and Summer’s wedding. I was expecting something a little more special of Victoria’s gown.
Did anyone notice that Phyllis was wearing her dress differently on Thursday than on Friday?
What is Ashland’s other dirty, little secret? Did he kill the real Ashland Locke?
As well as Camilla Rhodes. To get her money. Was surprised about the will. And then had the attorney change it.
I imagine the part that surprised you the most was that Ms. Rhodes specified the reasons behind her bequeathing nothing to Ashland. The real mystery is what did Camilla Rhodes find out about the fake Ashland Locke that we don’t already know?
