Please if there is a professional chef out there can you please list the crimes against the kitchen where Lola, Kyle and Theo are concerned. It’s so funny when he and Kyle pop in and I laugh at the absurdity. Now I want to laugh at the specifics.
For example Lola’s knife handling skills, lack of sanitary precautions, general layout (spices out of reach).
Omg Laura…don’t make me list the crimes against food safety and sanitation. I’m happy to though, lol. I spent 23 years in the kitchen as my profession and the list is long. But my suspicion is you already know and can spot the do’s and don’t’s. Common sense really. But for sure only kitchen staff are allowed in the prep area, Lola’s sometimes loose hair or no restraint at all, Lola wearing high heeled boots, never came across non slip high heeled boots before. Y&R needs to have people like you on a payroll as experts in a particular field for authenticity. Maybe they do in some capacity… like the hospital. So you like the kitchen itself, but Lola should check her working tunic in Society’s laundry bag when she finishes her shift. I get it.
With the set, I like that long corridor leading to the mainly steel kitchen with the swinging doors. It looks authentic to me.
To make the kitchen more authentic, we it would be awesome to actually see the the “line”, which is where the food is cooked. (you know, a cooktop, fryer, grill, salamander etc. all in a line running down the length of the kitchen). But I’m fine with what we have, it’s more than I expected when Society opened.

Did anyone notice how oddly Lola said “Mateo” when Kyle had asked her what the name was of Mia and Arturo’s baby? I had to rewind it several times, and still couldn’t make it out so I put on the closed captioning to see what it was. She said it like it was 2 names; “Matt followed by a second name. I have a feeling Mia and Arturo will be coming back on the show in the near future, or I don’t think y&r would be spending the time having the characters look at the baby pictures and talking about… Read more »
Mia come home! I would love it if she came back. I miss the way she revved up Sharon and when Sharon hit back Mia just smiled like it didn’t bother her. I’ve been called worse, babydoll!

Yeah, I really sit up and take notice when the Rosales’ put that snappy dramatic latin pronunciation on all their names. A real crowd pleaser. So soulful. But hard to sputter out if it doesn’t come naturally to you… Nikki used to make a big play of spinning Arturo’s name which put a big smile on my face. With Mateo, I had to re-wind a few times myself. I first thought Lola said Arturo. I’m thinking, ‘they named that kid after Arturo?’, but then I got the Mateo. I do like the name, but I would rather the baby be… Read more »
Why does Adam’s voicemail say “This is Adam Newman?”. I thought he went by the name “Spider” when he is in Vegas. That is the name that people know him by. I believe this is an oversight on Y&R’s part.
I am very glad Nick is going to Vegas to talk to Adam, but I think Chelsea should go as well. I think it would be more impactful if they both went. I also wonder what Nick is going to say to Adam. I don’t know if I trust Nick. Why does he want to go alone? I hope Nick’s intentions are good, but I can’t say for sure.
Connor locking Christian in the garage was really bad. Poor Christian. Connor has probably traumatized the boy. It happened to me as a kid when I was about 6 or 7 years old. A girl invited people in the neighborhood to watch a short film on a big movie screen in her garage. When the show was over, everyone left and she trapped me inside and shut the big garage door. O.K., but what’s worse is when you are a kid and somebody locks you in the trunk of their car to sneak you into the drive-in for free. Was I in the trunk or did I do the driving? I would never consider ever trusting this situation again. But if I was forced into it, I would most definiately be doing the driving. Picture Kevin Fisher forced into this scary scenario with his claustrophobia and fear of tiny spaces…

Who is Amanda’s first love interest going to be? Nate or Devon?
I feel like we are watching too many storylines at the moment. We are not really getting into the meat and bones of anything really, except maybe the research for the Abbott book. It’s like everyday we touch on several different storylines, but just on the surface. Like we didn’t need Julian to come back and spend time watching him when we could have delved deeper into let’s say the money laundering scheme, or Theo and Kyle calling a truce, or the whole situation with Devon and the will. I love Y&R, I’m just not enjoying the format right now.
The Connor acting out storyline was a boring filler (I love Y&R)
Hi Sandra, I have to admit this is the reason that I like Y&R more than B&B but also the reason why I tend to be more faithful watching B&B in the long run than Y&R. I feel too that Y&R is requiring a lot as far as attention to scripts and storylines are concerned but that makes it a top-quality soap whereas B&B is more a junk food type of soap, as Ali had put it once, which you run to when you don’t want to think too much and relax while watching television. Ali, this past Monday was Thanksgiving in Canada. We are thankful for all that we have and are reminded that it is important to thank those that do things for us. I would like to say thank-you to you for your hard work and dedication to Y&R chat. It really is a lot of fun coming to the website and watching Y&R chat! I definitely look forward to it. I watch the Canadian ep online, there are ways, and sometimes forget how US ended.

Just as I was asking last week what happened to Lola’s father, he shows up this week at Lola’s door. What a coincidence after we haven’t seen or heard anything about him in a month. I have to say, I don’t find his acting to be very good, as he seems to just say his lines. Maybe the actor will improve as his character develops and he gets into the character more.
Everyone thinks he’s terrible, but I find the actor/character intriging.
Also, from Thursday’s great show, viewers can see why Mrs. Rosales had to loose him, but why did she take him back off camera, just before appearing for the 1st time on the show???
I kind of enjoyed the state of affairs with Kyle deciding to give Mr. R a check, but then he blew it all buying drinks for Traci over at Society. Although some of us Traci fans consider it money well spent –

Traci’s drink looked so good and refreshing! I think it was called the Phoenix rising.
I have to say I am liking him more than when he first appeared on the show. I definitely don’t think he is terrible. I do like when new characters are on the show. It keeps the show interesting!
Devon is very forthright. I wish his character could make a guest appearance on Grey’s Anatomy and tell each person in his blunt manner what the heck is wrong with their personality and how their choices made from a deep seeded immaturity is negatively impacting their crush and/or coworker’s lives.
Also maybe he can ask them how come when in the middle of a complicated surgery going horribly wrong they stop operating all of a sudden to ask how the other surgeon’s date went last night
Traci had the same style bangs as Chloe. Cut straight across then that little part in the middle. I’ve been looking around seeing if it’s the new fall trend but nobody on the bus was wearing it like that today
I think Adam and Chelsea should get back together and raise Connor and Christan I’m tired of the Newmans always winning against everyone they should have to pay for their actions at least once and awhile. I’m glad Victor forgave Adam he never had his dad growing up like Victoria,Nick and Abbey. Let Adam be happy for once
