Ali, we are moving house. And way back, in a bathroom closet, I found just a sliver of Genoa City soap – I think it is Adam.
The 30th anniversary special for Michelle Stafford was excellent! I thought using flashbacks as a way to tell her granddaughter her life history was well thought out and documented history as well as scenes that still touch our hearts ,make us laugh, and keep us entertained. Phyllis is definitely our femme fatale and Michelle Stafford is a master of her craft. The audience only sees Phyllis and we love her; although, we hate a lot of her escapades. Michelle Stafford is AMAZING as Phyllis, and regardless the storyline, I NEVER tire of watching the character. I had had a tough time accepting Gina Tognoni because I was permanently mourning M.Stafford’s departure. GT was SO good in the role – particularly throughout the whole Billy/Summer mess – but I kinda compartmentalized her as an additional character also named Phyllis, rather than the original one, lol… just my traumatized self missing MS!
I enjoyed the 30th-anniversary episode for Phyllis. One very noticeable thing is that none of the scenes occurred in a coffee shop or restaurant. Almost every scene was in someone’s home. The sets were so big and beautiful back then. You could see the visible change in Phyllis’s nose over the years. It is thinner than it was when she started on the show. I remember all those Phyllis storylines. They were delicious! She was devious, voluptuous, sneaky, and vengeful. And so sincere with Nick.
Phyllis is the female villain counterpoint to Victor. No doubt, she is a hot mess, but what I have always liked about her is she owns her stuff. She admits her transgressions, she is fiercely loyal to the people she loves and she never lies about being something she is not. Michelle Stafford is a fabulous actress and the fact that we are so vested in her character’s history speaks volumes about her success. Beautiful tribute to Michelle Stafford for her 30 years! The earlier years were before I started watching Young and Restless. Michelle was beautiful and talented from all those years ago until the present day!! That includes with her many various hairstyles! Congrats to Michelle. And here’s to the next few months as we look forward to you relentlessly going after Sharon!
Just wanted to give a huge shout out to Allison Lanier who is doing a fantastic job playing Summer on our wonderful Young and Restless! She truly doesn’t seem to be “acting”. She seems so believable in every scene with every colleague! She is especially likeable with Phyllis and Daniel! You can see her sorrow at hearing about the loss of Daniel’s wife and Lucy’s mother! And she has brought us along with her as she maneuvered from being incredibly angry at her mother to being close to her again and relying on her support! We can look forward to… Read more »
Wow what an episode, congratulations to phylis actor on I think 30 years on the show , wow 30 years , I was one year old 30 years ago. I started watching y&r the beginning of January of 2012 so most stories in the flashbacks were new to me , it was interesting to know more about phylis. Phylis it’s right about sharen and I am ready for phylis to get sharen , really heartfelt episode, congratulations to the actress

Most of the time I have found myself a little annoyed with Phyllis and her antics but now I must cheer her on and embrace her fully with love and admiration. She has won me over big time….yes, she is pushy and interfering in her children’s lives but you cannot question or doubt that she is loyal, loving and devoted to them at all times regardless. Wonderful observations and comments about Phyllis and Victor! Even though I will always love Victor (really not the character most of the time, just the amazing Eric Braeden)! LOL

Is there any chance Jack and Diane are faking their fights in public to plot against Kyle and Victor and give them false sense of the tension between them? If not, I felt uncomfortable with everyone standing around watching their fight at the Athletic Club.
Why hasn’t Chance followed up for an alibi for Sharon. If Chance knows that she saw Heather the night she died why would he not ask Sharon what time she went to the apartment and how long she was there?! And then follow up with family if they can help match her alibi. Why is Chance assuming Sharon is telling him the truth but Daniel is lying about being framed? Also do we know how Sharon got Heathers passcode to get into her phone? Also if Chance said there is no appearance of a break in, how did Sharon so… Read more »
And I wonder about the security in the building…..isn’t those apartments considered to be penthouse levels?? If so, why aren’t there cameras for protections of its tenants?? Why haven’t Chance asked about neighboring buildings if there are street cameras available to check These days there are almost street cameras everywhere as well as parking garages. Hum. just wondering!!
Beautifully laid out ideas about Chance’s behavior towards Sharon and towards Daniel. Chance, don’t let Sharon’s soft voice and beauty cause you to treat her with kid gloves!

As Team Adam I regret to say again, your father does not love you or will ever love you as he does his “primary” children/family. You will only be a transitional use to him….his son when he want to guilt you into doing so underhanded deed he has plotted or desired to win over on. He told Michael he would fire you from Newman Media if you fail to follow his orders. Victor only expect you to “jump” when he says so and to only ask him how high. Great breakdown of the behavior of Victor toward Adam! And it now reminds me that Victor doesn’t even treat Abby that great most of the time! I guess that may also be because Nikki is not her mother either.
Chatters what do you think? I feel that Jack and Diane staged their very heated argument for Kyle’s benefit in hopes of getting him to get back into his parent’s good graces. As I looked back via Parmount Plus later as the show was interrupted with National Breaking News, I thought I might have missed Jack and Diane plotting the scam / fake argument. However, it appears that was not the case. I just feel like the writers will later show us that Jack and Diane staged their argument for not only Kyle but Victor as well. I just find… Read more »
I hope so! I never thought of this. This would be reallty great. If Y&R has been cleaver enough to think of this they would do it! But with the BREAKING NEWS you would not be missing J&D cooking up this plot. They would do this off screen to surprise us. Again, if they were cleaver enough to think of it.

Ok finish Thursday’s episode Aka yesterday’s episode, chance annoy me because he is believing sharen and he thinks Daniel did this , obviously this was planted by the person who killed Heather Aka sharen. I agree with Phylis’s said to Daniel , she gave good advice to Daniel. Also agree with what phylis told summer and Daniel. The coffee shop and AC arguing scenes between Diane and Jack are obviously contrived and staged. Stephen gets a shout out, he was right, these public arguments are part of a plan. Their scenes were good, but I still love the animosity between Victor and Jack. I buy in 100% when I watch them and I clearly see the characters and not the actors when these two rivals butt heads. They are one of the greatest rivals and arch enemies on tv. With all the excellent storylines today, their scene was my favorite!
I came to the same conclusion…..Jack and Diane are staging their “fights” in public strategically set in all the “top gathering places” of Genoa City. It appears that their aim is to “bicker” in front of the “fine” citizens of the city to set the scene for their “true” plan to come into view against Victor later, countering his dastardly deeds to hurt the Abbott family especially Jack through Kyle. I hope they are successful in toppling TGVN in gaining the revenge he strives to achieve.
Dear Y&R wardrobe department. When it is fall in Wisconsin and everyone in GC is wearing long sleeves and jackets, why is Phyllis in a sleeveless summer dress? Michelle Stafford can look sexy in a flour sack dress so, please dress her appropriately for the season.
