I really enjoy y&r chat and always have so much to say re: storylines, characters, and your commentary. However, I never watch a week’s episodes until the week-end, and by the time I have finished, it’s too late to chime in. So I then listen to the podcast without having read anything in real time. Just wanted you to know that there are those of us out there who follow and appreciate you even if we don’t send feedback! Love, love, love what you are doing!

It is always a bummer when your loved one wants to pair you up with someone else, as Elena tells Devon she had never known him to be intentionally cruel before. Elena is a very good, quiet actor. Their scene together was very well performed as Devon holds true to the unyielding side of his personality. These two would definitely long term be getting back together where it not for Devon’s on screen true love, Michelle Morgan.
I think Devon was right about Elena going through with the act. She could have stopped after first kiss. She has an attraction to Nate ,not sure if she has feelings for him. I do think she loves Devon but Devon can’t accept that now. Maybe they will reunite if its meant to be. But its obvious Nate has feelings for her not just an attraction

The Abbott’s finally mentioned Graham Bloodworth’s name after all this time! I was very surprised.
Graham is good, but prefer Dina back from the dead. Every last character can not do this walk, it would be preposterous, so my choice would be the Abbott matriarch.
He was very debonair in looks and demeanor. Do you remember there was a time when the Y&R fan based community (which even included Ali in that number) once suspected that Graham and Ashley shared the same paternity?
Yes but I don’t think they should bring Graham back. I think the reading of the will may give more money and power to Theo , which will drive Kyle crazy

Henry and others are getting their egarly anticipated “Sally Spectra”. For me, a longtime viewer, Sally Spectra is a tough, red-headed middle aged voluptious Mae West selling children (the younger the better – like babies!) into sexual slavery devil without a heart of gold (portrayed by Darlene Connelly) so my affection for her namesake is – limited.
Well, OK, bring her on. Ali actually presented a clear idea as to who this B&B character is, describing her as a badish girl troublemaker, not without her good points. I’m familiar with the type…
S0 glad Sally Spectra is coming to Y&R. She was great on B&B, Sally is a great character, Can’t wait to see what trouble Sally gets into on Y&R

I thought it was kind of funny when Sharon was telling Faith that she wanted Faith to get back to normal by having her friends over at the house again. I don’t recall ever seeing Faith have a friend at the house ever before. I know we are to believe that this is something that Faith has always done, but the fact that we have never seen it, makes it kind of laughable. Of course it is not a big deal, but I had to mention to it. lol.
Agree, but it is seriously agitating to see some slick friend come in and completely undo the person Faith always was in the time spent with a sleep over. It makes me uncomfortable to watch Faith punk her parents as you have to wonder if she can ever seriously come back from delinquency… At least its a storyline that actually produces a genuine emotion out of me over cynicism.
I think they just want to bring Faith’s friend who is a bad influence closer so we can all see where Faith’s behavior is coming from or at least influencing her

I really loved Elena’s words when she poured her heart out to Devon. I believed everything that she said, and I really liked them as a couple. Having said that, I have to agree with Devon’s response to her as he said it right. Elena made the conscious decision to go all the way with his cousin. It wasn’t as though they shared a kiss and then she said no I can’t do this. She wasn’t drinking that her judgement would be impaired. She crossed the line knowing that she was jeopardizing her relationship with Devon. I don’t know if… Read more »
She’s better off without him. He tossed her away like trash. He was looking for a reason. Many relationships recover from infidelity—it’s a human failing, not murder. Devon is a priss. He cheated with his father’s wife—makes no difference if they were “in love” or not—he knows all about infidelity. His holier than thou attitude is pathetic. GC needs more therapists and Devon needs at least 2X weekly.

Yeah, I am very happy about Billy and Lily! It is disappointing that we don’t get to see them together, as I know they would have a lot of chemistry. I am much more interested in Lily now that she is no longer with Cane. I felt t was time for both of them to be coupled with other people. Lily and Billy are an exciting couple for me.
I like the stylishness of them coming together for a kiss at Lily’s suggestion in the elevator where you only see the approach as the door closes, but Y&R keeps having to use this stepping forward into illicitness trick so often to the point where it becomes awkward. Don’t mind though. Dogging COVID reworkings has become more fun for me that seeing actors up close.
I agree with you Gary about the fact that they always have the character’s walking forward toward the person. I don’t know how else the could do it, but it would be nice if they thought of a different approach to the kissing scenes. Elena and Nate’s scene together was very well done as Ali mentioned.
There are different rules for the shows. I Iike the way Y&R does it, not showing the actual sex but intimating it. It works. GH does seem to have more close scenes, even kissing scenes , maybe the actors feel comfortable doing it with partners that test negative, but it’s risky. B&B still use mannequins at times which I think doesn’t work at all and you can tell substitutions for the actors when their real spouses step in. At least all the soaps are trying to give us love scenes in some way.
I like Billy &Lily together. They are hot, have good chemistry. They have both done bad things in the past , but seem to understand each other. Lily is a strong woman and will continue to be in control of her life. She will keep Billy in check. And Billy enjoys having a strong woman by his side. Victoria was a strong woman too

I don’t know how others feel, but I am glad that Chelsea has finally acknowledged that Johnny is her biological son and is thinking about him. It has bothered me for a while now that it has never had her ever mention him since the adoption took place. It may seem out of nowhere that she has asked to see him, but I feel like it is realistic as we don’t know what Chelsea’s inner thoughts are all of the time. I am sure she will always think of him from time to time as she is his biological mother… Read more »
I think Chelsea will be getting back to being more appealing as a victimized damsel living out of the Chancellor mansion making designs with her friend Chloe over dabbling at her con-artist roots which another chatter pointed up she’s not very good at…
I definitely don’t want to see Chelsea going back to her con artist roots either. I wouldn’t mind a story line with her and Johnny though, as l love the little actor. Chelsea doesn’t have to be bad, it could be Johnny wanting to learn more about where he came from and learning about his roots if Victoria and Billy tell him the truth about his paternity as he gets older. That will not be happening anytime soon as there are not any child actors on the show at the moment for safety reason. Johnny may one day learn all… Read more »
I don’t have a big reaction to most soap tots but I have always liked Johnny too! I like that the older he would get he still wouldn’t speak! He had a wonderful kind of Howdy Doody quality to him and i consider myself his fan. Would make a nice cowboy this Halloween!
I think it’s odd Chelsea never asked about Johnny and now she is. maybe she does miss Conner. But I think Johnny won’t understand why she is suddenly interested in being around him. He thinks of Billy and Victoria as his parents. I think should stay that way

Did anyone notice the picture of Arturo and Mia in the background of Lola’s apartment? They are outdoors and it looks like MIa was pregnant at the time in the photo. I thought that was a nice prop to have as it reminds us that Lola has family even though we don’t see all of them onscreen anymore.

Chancellor Communications (you can’t miss that sign!) is the biggest fraud company ever. It’s nothing but a front of Billy to chat up Lily who must have more interesting things to do.
What “devotion to his kids”? Billy wanted out of his family house to go find himself, leaving his children (already so many changes for them), not to mention his wife that he loved.
No more chances for this dastardly character in the romance dept. Or business, for that matter… It gets under my skin, his going about trying to smooze charm everyone while the other baddie, Adam Wilson better deals with people in a straightforward (dramatic) manner, however childish.
Good point about Billy and his kids. He didn’t want to go on the nice family ski trip to Telluride that Victoria had planned for them last year. He was so upset with Victoria for booking it as a nice surprise and not discussing it with him. He just wanted to spend all of his time at the bar with Amanda,
Billy has moved on from that time in is life but doesn’t want to let Adam move on in his life.

Jack Abbott is completely in love with Victor Newman. Poetically calling their relationship “a work in progress”. Vic much easier blows the whole thing off, possibly offering out a morsel or two to keep Abbott on the string… How does Jack forgive & forget old Vic turning him into Marco?
I don’t really understand why Kyle dislikes Theo so much. They used to be friends back in New York. Originally, I remember Theo being the one that had it in for Kyle because he felt like Kyle was a phony. Theo hasn’t really done anything to Kyle for him so much. The tables seemed to have turned.
I agree. Jack was willing to give Theo a chance, but not Kyle. Why is he so afraid Theo is taking over and all he wants is money and power. Theo only wants to be part of his family the Abbotts. When they left him out of Dina’s last day ,that was wrong, he should have been there

If Y&R ever has to stop filming because of Covid, I think they should do a podcast. A daily podcast. As many may know Days of Our Lives had to shut down production in the beginning of Oct., they went back to work on the 23rd. Guiding Light ran for 78 years, and the first years were old school podcasts, radio…I would listen.

The Abbott’s finally mentioned Graham Bloodworth’s name after all this time! I was very surprised.
Unless there is another chapter to this story he is supposed to be dead. Dina stabbed him with the same poison he tried to inject into her.
Yes, I don’t think they plan on bringing him back at the moment. Maybe they will in the future, but I don’t think so.
Graham is good, but prefer Dina back from the dead. Every last character can not do this walk, it would be preposterous, so my choice would be the Abbott matriarch.
Give me a Graham twist! Let him be named in the will and show up at the reading—making a dramatic entrance. So soapy.
He was very debonair in looks and demeanor. Do you remember there was a time when the Y&R fan based community (which even included Ali in that number) once suspected that Graham and Ashley shared the same paternity?

Quite the hottie though!
Wow! That woman sounds worst than Victor.
The cartoon probably chewed gum while she hauled the youth off in her paddy wagon…

It’s time for Faith to get interesting. She has been a bland obedient child long enough. This is Genoa Junction after all.
Just hope it’s not drugs or suicide ,or anything negative
I think they just want to bring Faith’s friend who is a bad influence closer so we can all see where Faith’s behavior is coming from or at least influencing her

So apparently they are over there making out on General Hospital? It is a curiosity that there are not uniform restrictions pertaining to every soap.
That is odd and it doesn’t sound very smart putting everyone’s life and health at risk just so characters can kiss on a show.
There are different rules for the shows. I Iike the way Y&R does it, not showing the actual sex but intimating it. It works. There is a man crust. The two might as well get a room. This is what happens when you allow your love machine run fallow for too long.
Victor and Jack will always be adversaries, But i like they have meaningful conversations at times and can be civil to each other
Hummmm, I think a Chelsea Theo pairing has hotness potential. Two GC outsiders with an ax to grind hooking up, could be fresh and exciting.
They could be an interesting couple
They would make an interesting couple I would like to see where that could go
Theo was so mean to Theo. Someone should really remind that bratty punk he is NOT Jack Abbotts ONLY son. He wasn’t even the first. Keemo…Hello????
I don’t really understand why Kyle dislikes Theo so much. They used to be friends back in New York. Originally, I remember Theo being the one that had it in for Kyle because he felt like Kyle was a phony. Theo hasn’t really done anything to Kyle for him so much. The tables seemed to have turned.
I meant to say Theo hasn’t done anything for Kyle to “dislike” him so much.

I love that idea! Even a short one every week to complement the show – inside the mind of a particular character!
