Looking forward to Tuscany! I can’t wait to see the gown Sally designed. It just may be her “saving grace”.

I vote for Ashland and Victoria the new power couple to be! Wishing for a miracle cure!

If Mariah wants a baby, heal for 3 months and get pregnant. Don’t tell Tessa to get pregnant.

SHAROD, I would say Victor is who he is with Billy toxic like a snake

Sure, some of us hate Billy now, but if he does uncover something evil about Ashland, we’ll be thanking him (maybe).

Billy is doing this because of Victoria . If it was anyone else he wouldn’t be this obsessed and Lily knows it

I’m hoping for a big reveal in the Ashland saga this coming week.

I am predicting that if the Locke wedding does arrive without a hitch that Ashland will be dead by November sweeps.

Ashland is a good character, I doubt they will kill him off, either he is faking or he will have a miracle cure

REGUARDING HERMIT-ISM: On yesterday’s The Waltons, the Baldwin sisters, Miss Mamie & Miss Emily, two sheltered innocent spinsters who never forged a life beyond their father’s rule confessed at a grand ball in the series finale that “We have mostly been great observers of life over participants.” A+

I had a great childhood in a classic neighborhood filled with kids. The school bus was full from 2 stops. We were always outside having fun. After graduation I moved to Europe and lived abroad for 4 1/2 years. When I came home, I went to culinary school. Then came chef jobs and late nights and laughs to last a lifetime. Then marriage, kids, etc. I turned 54 this month and though I choose to be home, and keep to myself, I feel like I have been a participant in life.

I can well imagine the lovely life you are having. Not that I think you took it that way but I was not paralleling your life to the Baldwin sisters! I am but a big fan of theirs and it was an opportunity to give them their deserved shot out! Wow. Culinary school. No wonder you can make your own English muffins and sneak cheese in across the boarder. A chef needs supplies. One must get them as they can.

That is a profound and let’s be honest an accurate statement that applies to most of us. Myself I include. Even though I have traveled the world, went to school and earned my degree, worked at a job I loved. I realized at the age of 54. For the most part I have sat on the sidelines of life and was a mere observer.

Does anyone else feel like the Newmans are unfair to Billy? They all refer to him as if he is the ONLY man who has ever hurt Victoria! What about JT…twice! And that guy who a few years ago had he boat and turned out to be a creep.

I really hope that Victor and Billy are secretly working together behind the scenes. As for the Newman women – Nikki, Abby and Victoria – while they criticize Billy for being a smooth talker, they’re the idiots who can’t see past Ashland’s smooth charm.

GO BILLY!

The Newmans (Victor) were unfair to Billy as portrayed by the other actors which would leave me frustrated, but Jason Thompson, butting in where he has no business (don’t bring up his concern for Katie & Johnny!) has him deserving of whatever the Newmans can heap upon him. A word that is used a lot in current culture is toxic. Billy is toxic. And I’m writing off Lily until further notice for dancing to his tune.
And you are officially disinvited to the Locke wedding. There will be guards.

I am hoping for something drastic like a SUV running over Billy resulting in a temporary stay at a IC unit. In this way Billy can undergo a sea change, make him see the error of his ways, forever swear off his Victoria obsession and transform him once again into a substantive character of the show. God knows that the Abbott clan desperately needs a substantive character.

Your set up is kind of where Jason Thompson as Billy began. In the hospital. Remember? Was he swathed in bandages to reveal a new face or did they just stick him in the bed as is?

For real…what is with Lily? It’s not as though the news business is in her blood or she has had a lifelong career as a reporter and can’t help but investigate Locke. No girlfriend/cohabitant would be ok with Billy’s obsession, let alone partake in it.

I believe she had a perfectly decent off screen prison guard (honorable profession) boyfriend up north, but of course she found him boring and was non-committal. Look who she’s got now.

Sandra, you do know that women have stood by men that have done way worst that Billy. Main example: Nikki.

Sharod do you remember when Nikki stooped so low as to parley her body in order to seduce Arturo into lowering his estimate on the construction of the New Hope housing project?

I agree, but in this instance what is the benefit for Lily? What will she gain by exposing any truth about Ashland. The only thing that will be exposed when the truth comes out are the cracks in Lily’s and Billy’s relationship.

For Lily, it is business. Views and Clicks on the Website of ChancComm. Apparently Nick will be exposing the truth about Ashland. And Victoria will get angry with Nick.

Sorry Gary, you are wrong here. You can not leave Johnny and Katie out of Billy’s equation.
And if anyone is toxic in this town, it is Victor Newman. He is the epitome of a narcissist and a bully. He just hates Billy because he can’t control him. Billy is not afraid of Victor. Victor only pretends to show concern for those people that he believes he has the upper hand. Which now includes Ashland. But with Billy he knows he doesn’t.

Happy Fall Ali and chatters. I know Ali you have mentioned fall is a nice season in the mid west where you live. It’s a pretty season. I look forward to Y&R giving us some nice fall sets both indoors and out. Maybe some new fall cocktail drinks at Society also.
Having said that, your chats are always so enjoyable as you had mentioned commenting on how we thought you were doing. Your commentary delivery is always done very well and so humorous. Never a dull moment.

I so agree w/ your commentary on Ali’s commentary! I enjoy YnR so much more now that I’ve discovered Ali’s chat and this site to share perspectives. Doesn’t get much better than a DAILY SHOW for loyal fans, and Ali gives yet a 6th ( AND the most entertaining!) show each week. SO fun to escape w/like-minded others into the great GC alternate universe. I think Ali strikes a perfect balance between how seriously we take it, all while- lol- recognizing it for the froth it actually is. Wow, I have watched this show forever it seems…

I agree that the host’s balance of fun & frivolity with the seriousness and thoughtfulness of the stories that warrant it is what makes Y&R CHAT work. And the quality level of Chatters comments as opposed to what you see written elsewhere is astounding. The graciousness, warmth & kindness of the host makes everything addictive and has Chats loyal and coming back for more.

Ellen, I take back every snark I ever directed at you. And I even like Adam. I feel like Ali has fun with mockery more than ever before. I also think Y&R CHAT draws such superb commentary and friendliness as people are drawn to rise to the level of their leader.
Y&R CHAT is a wopping success for Ali.

It is apparent that this writing team has not and does not pay attention to their own show.
If you need to move forward. At least have some resemble of truth and address the past.
Why would you invite someone to your wedding that you really do not have a relationship with? Not any at all!!

Kudos to earlier this week: 1.) Imani’s return- all fresh w/-glossy hair, minimal make-up, and fun denim! 2.) Chloe’s hilarious reactions to Sally’s Connor/Adam update- E. Hendrickson’s a gem! 3.) Nikki’s red-sparkle haughtiness in Jack’s dream- her best make-up, hair and wardrobe this year! 4.) The incomparable Peter Bergman – ’nuff said! Haven’t finished the week yet, but I’m enjoying plenty so far!

The number of blue-eyed people on YR is waaaaaay out of proportion. It should be about 1 in 4, but they are everywhere! It’s been distracting me all week. Is GC populated by blue-eyed aliens???? (Or maybe casting agents just prefer blue-eyed actors).
