I’m so sorry to hear that, Brittany! How awful. I hope your power comes back soon! 🙁

I am disappointed I wasn’t able to make any comments earlier this week. It has been very busy.
I am finally caught up on the episodes. I thought it was a bit of a leap that Lucy thought that Sharon might have something to do with her mom’s death just because she was asking what happened. It was very inappropriate of Sharon to ask those questions, but I don’t think it makes Sharon look like she had something to do with Heather being found in the river.
Sharon looks guilty, she will never cope with killing Heather. I don’t like that she is thinking about killing Daniel too. That family is suffering enough, I hope they don’t go there

Cameron manifests Sharon’s darker side and I’ve struggled to understand, why Cameron. He terrorized her, threatened her family. Is this a way of conveying that Sharon has a deep self hatred?
I think you hit it right, Sharon hates herself and what she did to Heather. Why did she black out killing Heather. Is it possible someone else did it? Heather was meeting someone for an interview. Maybe he did it. Also looks like Sharon is going to try to frame Daniel for the crime. Not right

For so long we went without having anything to say about Sharon and suddenly she’s the main topic of conversation for chatters and Genoa City residents. I love it and am completely confused with what I think happened. My theory changes with each episode.
I agree, I’m not convinced Sharon actually did it, that she thinks she did, hallucinated the whole thing, might be a coincidence, that Heather ended up dead by someone else, like i mentioned above Heather was supposed to meet someone for an interview. I just think it’s not realistic to think Sharon did this, got rid of body etc. all on her own. How will she come back from this?

Yeah, I just want to close for the week by pointing out how Sharon is strong as an ox when she needs to be. A warrior princess. For good and for evil.

I’m a hard core Adam fan and don’t understand WHAT the writers are doing with him. Is he just rolling the dice and seeing which woman he can catch? It’s out of character for him; he typically fixates on one woman. Ugh. MAKE. IT. STOP.
My thoughts exactly!!! To me, as an adamant and yes, I, too, a hard core fan of Adam have become more disgusted with the path that has been taken to present him as unrecognizable on any level. I think he deserves better since he is not given love and appreciation by anyone in his family(Victor does not even have a picture of him with the others in the family at the office; he even has the grandchildren of Victoria/Nick included also)as well as the women, Sally and Chelsea, he supposedly “love” and pines to have a life with. The way… Read more »
I agree, don’t like what they are doing with his character. He was so in love with Sally, they took a long time to get back together, and now it looks like he wants to get back with Chelsea, makes no sense.

Chanc Chancellor showing up on the case seems so lame.- contrived, predictable, soap town. But we already know that.
I had a different take on him. This is where he belongs and I didn’t buy into the corporate Chance.
He should be our police investigator and carry on with heroic duties in the community that match his military service. Chance is in his niche and they need to leave him there.
I like chance back as GCPD detective, he was a fish out of water at Chancellor. He’s better as a cop, and he will figure out what happened with Heather’s death

Wonderful acting from two of our favorite actresses this week! Summer is so believable while showing her compassion and empathy for her brother and her niece. She was wearing little or no makeup in her scenes this week; and was able to play each scene so lovingly while looking so beautiful. It was also so wonderful seeing Phyllis break down and be able to ask for help and friendship when she was no longer able to shoulder her own pain. Each scene she played with each character this week was so compelling and enthralling! We are fortunate to have such… Read more »
The two scenes for Heather that caused my tear up moments were authentic hugs between Summer & Daniel and the Phyllis break down hug with Billy. This tells me that I think of them as a real family that is experiencing a devastating loss and the universal need to cling to each other for different, but equally important reasons.
I agree, everyone is doing a great job, the acting has been great with such emotional scenes

Unleash The Phyllis! I never thought I’d say this, but………Sharon has it coming.
Also I’m so freaking excited for Michelle Stafford’s 30th anniversary stand alone episode next week, that I just can’t hide it.
I think she would rather frame him for murder than kill him

In response to Sharon W’s take on the “Heather Storyline”, I can identify with your feelings of hating it. I too sometimes get so involved with a storyline that it may cause me to have feelings of sadness. What gives me comfort is when I see the characters off screen via Facebook or possibly a TV commercial all together alive and well or maybe as guests on The View, The Talk, etc. It brings me to the realization that, “Wow! It’s only make believe!” So, in this case I have to keep in mind that Heather, in real life, is… Read more »
It IS over the top. I don’t especially like it, but I can’t hate it. GARY’S PHONE SEZ that Sharon Case calls this “the greatest story ever!”, but I didn’t read the article. It just seems so exzausting, never ending and sad. It is rich in that there are so many ramifications to it from so many different places. With Heather going down some of us believe we saw the point where the real live happening met with the going into fantasy mode. There seemed to have been some kind of trickery but it can not be said for sure.… Read more »
This storyline is Dark Shadows worthy. Ha ha. You have to be a Boomer to get it.
Now what is Phylis going to do to top it for her week of fame? Phylis and Sharon in a knife fight! It seems to me Nick looks at Sharon like he suspects something.

Where is Sharon’s phone? I don’t remember her calling or texting Nick or her kids on her phone since the “accident”. She has sent plenty of messages on Heather’s phone. Hopefully it turns up soon; as Chance is putting his investigation together!

I have to say I’m not enjoying the Heather story at all. In fact, I’m hating it! Maybe I’ve gotten too involved in a “Soap” story with fictional characters. But I felt the same way when Hillary died and we had to watch Devon standing over her in the hospital in her wedding gown. I guess I just can’t take the sadness! It’s over the top. Or maybe it’s just because I like Heather, Lucy and Daniel so much. I’m really hoping the writers don’t find the need to get rid of Daniel now. Phyllis’s comments to Sharon about making… Read more »
What if the audience doesn’t like this story? Do the writers have an easy exit plan? It would be interesting to be a fly on the wall to observe their round table discussions on this one. Did they take a vote to do Sharon in? Is this story competely laid out on their storyboard where they know exactly where they are going from beginning to end? Does the larger CBS want this story?
I don’t like the death of any character either. I understand that death is a part of the life cycle, but I don’t want to see it so graphically on display. The morgue scenes are too painful for those of us that have lived the tragic death of a young person that was a homicide. I want this storyline to move on quickly and get to the resolution for the audience as well as the characters.
I have to say that I am finding this storyline very compelling as you don’t know what is going to happen next. I feel like the show finally has some drama that isn’t about business or just seeing the characters sitting in a coffee shop or dining at a restaurant. It definitely has you on the edge of your seat. I am appreciating the drama and Sharon’s acting. It is sad that the character of Heather is gone, but it is a soap and characters will come and go.

When the police (Chance) investigates and finds blood evidence in the apt and place of death, Daniel will be the prime suspect because the husband usually is. He probably has an alibi with Lucy so ? I can’t wait for the unexpected “Sharon ?, you are under arrest for the murder of Heather ? “
Appreciated Ali pointing up how Sharon didn’t even try to wipe up the blood from the floor but just rubbed it in! Considering whatever you do you can’t really get rid of blood… With me, in having killed a Heather, I would completely loose it over the blood coming out of her faster than I could clean it up, knowing there is going to be so much more where that came from. And then having to turn around & pick up all that broken glass! I’m not the type who can walk and chew gum at the same time so… Read more »
Thanks for your never-ending comic relief! My reaction to the blood would be the same as the character of Niles on the old Frasier sitcom. (I believe Season 6, Episode 14). He nicked the end of his finger and passed out! And……I loved your disclosure that “I’m not the type who can walk and chew gum at the same time so I would be completely overwhelmed”. So very funny!! I can identify with that. Thx
I wouldn’t say I’m actually wimpy, but i remember when I was a kid in the terriffying hospital (please don’t make me stay overnight) to have my tonsils out. I haven’t recalled this much since it happened, but you bring back how I was sitting in a hospital chair in my room when someone came in and pricked my finger with what I feel was a razor and I fained dead away from the horror of it! I think. Can’t say I’ve especially thought of this since. Y&R CHAT is not about me but I have to finish this story… Read more »
Gary, I’m glad you haven’t been reliving this life story in all these years! But thanks for sharing! You are a great storyteller; and maybe you should consider applying for a job as one of the writers on Y&R when they are having trouble finishing some of their storylines. LOL Back to your story: It’s sad to know that our best laid plans sometimes come back to bite us (as in eating the Dry Roasted Cashew Nuts) I’m hoping you can enjoy both ice cream “AND” cashews nowadays!

Alas, I messed up the only New Years Prediction that I remember making last year. That was my firm belief that Audra and Tucker were to be married in a lavish wedding ceremony that all of Genoa City would attend.
I wish I can play the game who said it I’ve been out of power for 8 days

I so agree about Adam and Audra setting GC on fire. But that is why it would never happen with JG in charge.
I said this before Chatters. Adam is unrecognizable because Josh Griffith does not like the character of Adam and he writers him this way on purpose.
I agree, don’t like what they are doing with his character. He was so in love with Sally, they took a long time to get back together, and now it looks like he wants to get back with Chelsea, makes no sense.

I totally agree. Chance being put in the corporate world is what was contrived and unbelievable.
!00% cop. I was just calling it lame given the ‘musical chairs’ of Y&R jacking their professional business people around to suit the current need.
They were overplaying corporate storylines and Bam! Now we have a murder and a frame up plot to create some espionage and investigative stories.
I like chance back as GCPD detective, he was a fish out of water at Chancellor. He’s better as a cop, and he will figure out what happened with Heather’s death
