Nick on the Tarmac
Outstanding! Y&R did a beautiful job showing us this gorgeous scenery in contrast with Nick’s feeling of hopelessness. He runs out onto the tarmac, seconds after Chloe has makes her escape into the sky. I assume this is a green screen effect, although I don’t quite see the seam. Are there any special effects gurus out there who would like to chime in and tell us in detail how it was done?
Adam’s Presence
I really appreciated the framing of this scene and the story being told silently in the background. Nick and Chelsea are both trying to move on with life and a relationship together, while Adam’s presence is always lingering in one form or another. First was Chelsea’s continued love for her late-husband and the knowledge that Christian is Adam’s son. This week, we now also have Nick keeping a secret about Adam from Chelsea: Victor’s involvement in her husband’s death!
Two great examples of Y&R’s creativity in visual storytelling that did not go unnoticed!
