I absolutely love, when they dig into the vault and include old episodes like they did today showing the best weddings and all time romantic couples. I love today’s episode!!!! Victor was so sweet talking to his baby girl. Love seeing Nina and Jill back on the screen
When Will You Find Love: I didn’t vote for love and Romance in this weeks poll, but I can’t stop watching that Chancellor/Newman/Abbott/Winters wedding! Va Va Va Voom is Abby as bride. Finally a woman, Ellen. Very captivating. “Oh, my goodness. Oh, my goodness” says Victor upon seeing his daughter. Out of the bathroom and into the frying pan of life! I hope this union will be a soap opera success. Beth Maitland recently answered questions from fans as to why with her beautiful singing voice she no longer sings on the show? She gave a very interesting historical answer,… Read more »
Very well said, Gary.
I voted for epic rivalry. There were so many exciting moments between Sheila and Lauren. Sheila was so cunning and evil. It was always fun to see both of them on screen. Also there’s the major rival between Victor and Jack. There are so many great moments, it’s hard to choose just one. Both actors brought so much emotion to their portrayals. There were so many twists and turns to follow that I had a hard time deciding which side to root for. But I must say my favorite was between Katherine and Jill. I love the biting dialogue, the… Read more »
I voted for Mystery, intrigue as my favorite. It was a tough choice and the reason I voted for this genre is the excitement factor. Remember when Diane was killed and the camera panned over her living room and we saw a series of embroidered pillows with twisted sayings stitched on them? Creepy! Exciting! Actually it made me want to pick up that cross-stitching hobby again if I could make pillows like Diane.
I voted family dynamics. I am always interested of how the various characters interact with eachother. Not only families and characters that have a common history but also interactions bewteen totally unrelated characters (although I know Genoa City’s small and everyone knwos eachother) ;).
The second choise would probably be Quirky and lighthearted and then after that Love and romance, epic rivalry, heath and modern issues . Oh and of course the fashon , I couldn’t miss that acpect fo the show 😉
I’ll second FAMILY DYNAMICS, with a Quirky and Lighthearted B answer thrown in, all this encompassing the love & romance which makes a soap go round.
My favorite by far is the mystery and intrigue with several great twists ending in a big bang reveal, such as David Kimbel’s starting in a minor part as Jill’s assistant and turning in to a major storyline with him forcing a plasting surgeon to perform surgery to hide his identity, but the surgeon instead carving the word “killer” into his forehead, and David ultimately ending up crushed to death in a trash compactor. Another favorite was the Jazz Jackson and his brother Tony”s undercover organized crime story with Andy Richards, which introduced a character named “Kong” who was a… Read more »
Cane making that phone call and it was the original Philip Chancellor III on the other line was so epic! I screamed and told my husband I haven’t seen him in like 30 years!
