Nah, Chelsea is delusional- she projected her ‘lost Dream lover’ onto dead Rey (starting when he both alive) simply because he had been nice, and maybe even flirty (well, as flirty as boring, old married Rey could be) to her. I do feel Chelsea really feels her own heartbreak though, because she has no thought basis in reality w/regards to how things really were. She’s a lonely loon. I hope she doesn’t sink to Psycho Chelsea, but wakes up, shakes it all off, and comes out strong, Sparkly, grounded Chelsea (even as a con) is way more appealing story-wise.

I think Rey was attracted to Chelsea for the same reason he loved Mia with all her flaws. Some people feel more comfortable with less than perfect partners. Chelsea was very attentive to Rey and I agree with you she thought they could have been great together. So maybe I do have some sympathy for her.

The picture you chose for the poll shows how she feels. She was developing a friendship with Ray. He was everything she has always wanted in a guy. Dillon wasn’t quite it, or maybe the timing was wrong, Adam was a whirl, but he brings out the worst in her instincts, Nick was too chill. Ray liked Connor, but she wasn’t using Connor to lure him. Ray knew Chelsea is kinda bad, but appreciated her friendship, and that is what she has lost, really – his friendship. I don’t think she was thinking about him romantically yet. She just lost… Read more »
