From the standpoint of a soap viewer, I voted Billy. Jack is not a risk-taker. Soaps need to see those risks. Succeed? Fail? The journey is why I am watching Billy. I love him to be close to a deadline and miss it. I love him to pour his heart out just when no one is listening. Please, Billy, go save Victoria. It will distract you from your business goals. You will fail, but you will get the girl.
I am almost always team Jack and he got my vote on this poll and Billy should have kept Jack informed out of respect and to avoid any issues. However, I think Billy is never given credit for his work ethic performance or forgiveness for his past mistakes. Yes, he’s impulsive but, he is loyal to family and his intentions come from a good hearted guy.
I am on completely on Jack’s side. Jack invested money into a company purely for Billy to build a legacy he is proud of and to show how much he believes in Billy. Not for a company for Sally to be the CEO. Also I just don’t feel sorry for Billy, yes he can feel like his mother screwed him over by handing Chancellor back to Victor but Billy never owned Chancellor. Not only is Jack right on the investment, but he is also right that the quest for Chancellor is just Billy feeding his gambling addiction — essentially putting everything on double zero and pretending yelling helps as the croupier spins the ball. Billy has no plan, no idea about the Dumas plan, and getting Chancellor isn’t important anyway — feeding the addiction is about the rush from the gamble, not any possible payoff. I will try to argue for Billy’s sake just to see if he has any standing in the argument. Jack himself takes risks in these battles. Didn’t he and Diane take a HUGE risk when they faked their problems and told lies to “get Kyle to renounce Victor”? They then applauded themselves about their risk paying off. Yet Billy isn’t allowed to take a risk to get Chancellor back. BIlly is exhausting but Jack isn’t much better when it’s about undercutting Victor.
Jack is right. Billy made promises for a new beginning, trying to prove to everyone that he has the talent , drive and determination to launch his own company. He promised his brother this was a new venture and he was not about retaliation. When Jack confronted him, Billy was smug and egotistical. He decided that Jack, who funded the entire company for him, should roll over and accept anything Billy wanted to do and say. I am so glad Jack threatened to stop the money. Jack funded that whole project for Billy and he’s throwing it aside for Sally to handle so he can go down that revenge rabbit hole. Jack has every right to be upset I think.

I think Jack is right. Billy is obsessed with getting Chancellor away from Victor. He doesn’t even know if Cane wants to work with him, but he doesn’t care that he promised Sally and Jack he wasn’t going after victor anymore, he can’t help himself.
