I don’t like that she has Alzheimers disease. She won’t be the same character anymore that we were starting to get to know and love. She is a different person now, that isn’t as likeable.

I know I’m in the minority of our community by liking Mal Young’s writing so far, but I hope that won’t be the case for long. The show has an edgy feel to it that I am really digging, while also managing to bring the focus back to our core characters, which I love. An Alzheimer’s diagnosis would give Marla Adam’s a great opportunity to showcase her acting talent and maybe even get a Daytime Emmy out of it. Side note, I am pretty disgusted by Victoria’s attitude this week, but in kind of a good way, it’s always fun… Read more »

IF AN ALZHEIMER’S DIAGNOSIS CAN KEEP DINA OUT OF STATE PRISON I’M ALL FOR IT!
P.S. Nikki is a cry-baby!

I said no because it limits the character in so many ways, especially romantically, and I want her to stay. A Colin and Dina flirtation or more would be funny. I think they can still write her out of this corner, having her drugged by Graham, have Lyme disease (ala Katherine). Kris Kristofferson was mistakenly diagnosed with Alzheimer’s instead of Lyme disease.
Oh boy, we can only hope. I love Dina immensely and really don’t want her to leave the show. She fills a void on YR and there’s no denying her comedic delivery.

My vote is a no , because I don’t like the direction Dina is going , I hate the way she is acting with her kids and with everything and hate she stab Nikki , I like when she was nice with her kids and try to reconnect with her kids and I like Dina strong but nice at the same time

I said No but will say that if Dina is leaving, at least the actress is given a chance to possibly earn a well deserved Emmy for Best Supporting Actress. It is a serious and depressing disease that she may have but the actress has been able to inject humor into this story. The fantasy in me hopes it is something else other than what the original writers planned because it would give her wiggle room to stay on the show longer or at least pop up from time to time. The only way I can accept the loss of… Read more »

Hi Sandra, Dina supporter…
Team Dina all the way. Figure this $#%+ out. Don’t write her into a corner…let it just be a side effect from her recent stroke.
Just phoned this into CHAT, S, & I’ll pass it on here – I prefer to think of Dina as merely left handed. Like myself.
Not sure if yourself or anyone has ever noticed, could just be my eye for unnecessary details, but there many actors on YR that are left handed.
