No, she is mentally ill; however, she is a danger to society and herself. She needs mandatory psychiatric evaluation, treatment, and long term care. The rumors about the return of Patti have got me thinking that a mental facility might be our next new set.
I vote Nooooo – unless it’s offscreen…I’m w/Toni: no prison stories, please! They’re just eye-rollers. (Although I”m not psyched at the thought of another loony bin story… and SHOULD she go to prison? Well, yeah.)
I voted yes! She needs help beyond just prison but that can be a part of her jail sentence. She kidnapped a child and from a parent’s perspective, Abby and Devon deserve the person who kidnapped their child to have consequences for that decision. I also would rather see a prison sentence than another character in a mental health facility like Fairview. Plus Mariah already checked herself out of a mental health clinic that wasn’t helping her.
No, at least Mariah didn’t frame Abby for the YAK. But if she’s going to be a villain, she seriously needs coaching on how to crime successfully. Leaving a scarf at the scene and forgetting Dom’s mittens was a rookie mistake. However, she does come by her villainy honestly; not only as Sharon’s daughter, but as the vision of the same writers. Conflicted now, but in a year she’ll be just like holier-than-thou Sharon, berating Abby for her parenting while ignoring her own trail of lost winter wear.

I voted no. Tired of prison stories. Dominic will tell mom and dad he and Mariah were just on an adventure. He is probably left with daycare often enough, that being with Mariah, someone he knows, was okay, and he believed the overnight adventure story. So Mariah will be shunned, but not arrested. Especially, when it is learned Ian is alive, then Mariah will be the kidnap victim.
Mariah is having a breakdown, she needs help, not prison, but she may go to prison for awhile when this is over. Why did Dominic hear Ian in the car? Is he real now?
She’s cray cray, and maybe drugged, like someone suggested. Once that get her back in treatment it’ll be ok. I’m guessing Abby and Devon will forgive her even if they don’t ask her to babysit for a while.
