They would have been fine if it was for a special episode, or even a single character. But it’s too much. I wish they’d just show classic episodes instead of trying to fill current ones.
While the WGA strike is over, the actor’s are still on strike and it may take a while to get back to their routine schedule. I really hope some classic episodes make their way back to us this Fall!

I have always liked a flashback to give context to the Story. For example when they did the Mamie and Jill flashback that made sense but these flashbacks from just yesterday, last week, the episode before, and earlier in the that episode day; it’s too much. I want to remember or reminisce on something that I might have really forgotten or that’s truly important and I didn’t just forget last week. Honestly, they’d be better off just starting out with on the previous episode of Y&R if they’re going to do all these flashbacks this way.

I enjoy a flashback when necessary. Many of these are very unnecessary. We have now seen the flashback of Sally and Adam kissing at her door 3 times or more. I do however really enjoy and appreciate the classic flashbacks! They are always a treat to watch.
I feel the kissing flashback(s) can be excused but none of the others…

Super HIT !!
I believe the way Josh Griffith is writing, and firing the writers, has brought a new excitement back into Y&R. He has the foresight to believe the characters he brings back will add a story line back into the program, long or short term as in the past. However I believe this week should be short term LoL.

I vote Hit! It helps me catch stuff missed first time around.
I should add I was never so shocked by this show than I have been in the last few days with half the episodes taken up with the “fancy” retred. Y&R will be hearing about this! Absolute madness. Something is up. Those B&W’s just give & give & give…

I can’t believe you said that!
Well, I do like to take the road less traveled!

What will the future hold? From now on will every use of the flashback be in B&W forevermore? Has Y&R trapped themselves?
