I voted “ he’s fine”. Unless the actor is only available short term, I just really don’t see him dying off. I think there are a lot of games being played between Ashland and Victoria and I don’t believe it’s just going to go away anytime soon.
Shortness of breath? Constant coughing? Ashland might have COVID-19! Just kidding. I don’t think Y&R is going to incorporate the pandemic into their storylines, unless…Ashland does have COVID-19 and is spreading it to others in Genoa City!
I think he is really sick. Is it possible Stitch is Ashland’s doctor? Didn’t he cure Ashley from some kind of cancer?
The “Locke Ness Monster” has yet to surface, and fake dying (prefaced by a fake heart attack as well?) is just part of another ruthless plot of the kind that earned Ashland that title. Hard to know who is playing whom between Ashland and Victoria, but despite all their machinations, they may come to find they are truly falling for one another?
At first I was feeling very sorry for him after all the stuff with Tara cheating on him and Harrison not being his child and a heart attack just to find out he have 6 months left to live. I mean … so many bad things happened to him…But now I am starting to doubt that he really is dying 😀 . I can’t hellp the feeling there’s gonna be a twist at the end of the storyline . And Ashland gets his ;p
Come on ! Richard Burgi is on contract! Too much time and energy has been spent on Ashland to kill him off so soon. Like I have said before……Adam is involved. Tara is also in cahoots. Victoria is GOING DOWN.
FYI: In Genova City, you can’t judge how ill a character is by how they look. Sharon looked amazing during her cancer treatments.
I think Ashland is fine and has chosen Victoria as his easiest mark. His fatal illness is a device to get Victoria to act quickly. If he gets her in bed, just icing on the cake. Due to Ashland’s health crisis, Victoria is sensing an urgency to move ahead without her due diligence. This will be her undoing. I have loved having this new character on our canvas. It will be nice to have another business war and hopefully have the Newman band together. This time with Adam as part of their arsenal.

Ashland is not ill. He could be trying to take over Newman Enterprises by getting close to Victoria, BUT, maybe Victoria’s charm is distracting Ashland, which means, their relationship could develop, Ashland will agree to “treatment”, and they will live a happy life, unless Billy will pry, which is the usual case.
Oh yes, hunky Ashland should be starting to look frail by now. If there is no bed hopping this week than Ashland and Tara are getting ready to strike for Newman Enterprises. As Brad Carlton called him, the Black Knight will realize what is happening. He and Adam will save Newman Enterprises. Ashland and Tara will be exposed and Kyle will leave for Italy to be with Summer.

I could make a case either way regarding Ashland being ill. He doesn’t look or act very ill so far—despite his slight soap opera cough. But I am sure that Ali & YR Chatters come up with better storylines than the show typically does. Well done everyone—keep your theories coming.
Well, if Michael M is leaving the show, too, the story could go that Harrison is not Ashland’s or Tara’s. Harrison could need blood, and Kyle is a biological parent. He will take Harrison to Milan to look for Summer. Jack will pick up the pieces with Tara, Ashland with Victoria.
Kyle won’t have to look for Summer, he knows where she works. Also, I don’t think her parents would keep where she is living a secret if Kyle wanted to see her.
She’s staying at the Newman company apartment in Milan. She had thanked “Aunt Vicky” last week for letting her use it when Summer was saying goodbye to Nikki and Victoria.

Ashland is definitely faking his condition. In fact, I think Stitch is his doctor. I don’t think Stitch is being honest. We saw him peaking out the window of the mansion. There is something sketchy going on.
