Trying to control another person’s emotions is worse than trying to control their behavior. Elena can be honest about how she feels, but if she is truly so insecure about Devon that she is panicking and grasping at him—uh oh. Jealousy, control, manipulation, anger—these things will kill your relationship. Are you a strong, smart, beautiful, lovable, accomplished person or not Elena?
Its not about being worse, its about being impossible to do. Abandon ship now.

I’m not sure if I feel Elena is overreacting. I do think she is not being honest with Devon. She should just say to him that’s she’s petrified he’s going to project his feelings for Hillary onto Amanda, and leave her out of the equation. Elena has expressed as much to Nate.
When Devon falls for Hilary can it only be projection or can he truly be in love with this second person? Can a union like this succeed? What is needed here is time and space. Tred with thought and caution.
I believe Amanda and Devon can fall deeply in love. Of course, why not. Amanda and Hillary may have different personalities, but they have the same DNA. Deep down, they are the same. Elena needs to get with it or the Amanda train is going to run right over her.
I think Elena needs to relax. Yes, I do think she has some concerns about Amanda becoming too close to Devon. Devon may become confused for a while, but face it, no one can be Hillary. (I hope.) Hillary and Devon had fiery dynamics. Even though Devon is focusing on the positive right now. There were many times they found it hard to be around each other. Elena should concentrate on being “true to herself”. Stick to what she believes in and what she knows. And let Devon make his decision. She’ll be happier in the long run.
Amanda is so excited to learn everything about Hillary. I think she might even take on Hillary’s persona, maybe re-kick GC. Buzz. Didn’t Mariah say she is looking for a job? Amanda could “become” Hillary, getting obsessed with Devon. Elena and Nate would work together to save him. Etc.
Amanda might just take on Hilary’s personality. But apparently, Mariah is not looking for a job. She is too busy hanging out with Lola.
Writers, you missed such an opportunity. Remember the TV show Dallas? They corrected a season of bad story by a guy waking up in the shower–it was all a dream! Jack could be that guy. We could begone with Sharon’s cancer, and Dena’s altzheimers. Jack could wake up and realize he does have that second chance with Dena, and maybe even start something with a healthy Sharon. I liked them together years ago.
So I’m catching up on this week’s shows. Finally, Devon gives Amanda Hillary’ shows.
No, Elena is not over-reacting, with the woman forced to betray her own truth in feigning nonchalance least her insecurity cause a wedge between herself and Devon, further pushing D into the arms of A. It is an unfortunate place to find ones self in, but it is what it is. Elena’s higher self understands the need for the Amanda/Devon connection at this particular moment in time, but it is just too personally threatening to her to emotionally allow this. Elena is a great girl but about as exciting as a bottle of Milk Of Magnesia
I voted, No. Elena knows that Devon loves her, but she also witnessed his devotion of love for Hilary to a person that looks and now carries herself like his dead wife.
As Elena noted, she felt the energy between Amanda and Devon. It is not her imagination and frankly I think Devon is going to start working overtime to prove that Elena is wrong to worry, but I feel she is right.
