Justin Hartley was definitely the best played character of Adam Newman, ever, period. He made Adam much more entertaining to watch everyday. I am saddened to know he will no longer be a part of Y&R. His departure will not only be missed, but also hard to replace.

I read a comment on another blog that said “3rd explosion death” was a bit much. I agree but had to remember several years (2010 or 2011) back when there was an explosion at a masquerade ball. Adam was presumed dead for several weeks or a couple of months. It looked like Michael Muhney had left the show back then. He showed up with an “umbrella drink” reading the paper about his death. So my wishful thinking is that maybe Justin Hartley has left the show “for now” or until everyone finds out about the status and future scheduling of… Read more »
I would not want micheal muhney to come back because of the whole sexual harassment thing. I would not want anything like that happening again.

I definitely do NOT want a recast! I also don’t want to kill off the character of Adam. I hope Justin Hartley returns eventually because even though I liked Micheal Muney as Adam as well it would make absolutely no sense if Adam returned looking like he did before his plastic surgery. Y&r struck gold with Justin any recast from here on out I feel would just be a disappointment
I would rather have a recast than no Adam at all. Been a viewer for 40 yrs. I never liked Michael Muhney’s Adam. So I’m my opinion I do not want him back. Wait a few months and recast the role if JH really is not coming back.
