I would prefer a diamond as they sparkle and will match any clothing you are wearing as Ali pointed out. The diamond is also my birthstone. As the saying goes. “diamonds are a girl’s best friend.” Having said that, a person should pick the stone of their choice, as they will be the ones wearing it.

Personally, I would probably prefer something with a diamond. However, for the show, I think going with the occasional non-diamond is a good idea. Otherwise, it’s just a matter of how big is this diamond going to be, which gets monotonous. Adding the non-diamond aspect adds some variety.
I really like Victoria’s sapphire ring. Mariah’s ring was cute, but like Ali said last week, I would always be thinking about it coordinating with my outfit. As for Tessa’s ring…I think I need to find a screenshot to get a better look at that one!

I would prefer a Diamond. Unless it is my Birthstone.

Looks like I’m in the minority, but I prefer diamonds. I respect not always going with the traditional, but that ring did nothing for me.

SHARON COLLINS CRIPLED BY INSANE JEALOUSY OF CHELSEA & REY ROSALES!
Oops, wrong department.
As long as I’m here by mistake isn’t an emerald shiny sparkly glass (diamond)? The quick look I got at the ring had it looking more like a matt stone of Jade.
Let me refer the Chat audience to the song, This Diamond Ring by Gary Lewis & the Playboys for context –

I voted Yay! If that type of ring makes the person wearing it happy and they love it, then I see no problem at all!

I love that Tessa chose an emerald engagement ring, not only does it go with Mariah’s red hair but it symbolizes their relationship 2 cosmic spheres bound together by fidelity and true love! The cosmic spheres are symbolized by the 2 gold bands and fidelity and true love is the meaning behind the emerald, so I think it was just PERFECT for their non traditional engagement and sums up their love story perfectly!

Yay! Even the most colorful gems will compliment most, if not all, outfits. A bold solid color jives with patterns and differing color schemes quite beautifully, in my opinion.

I voted yay! I don’t think a diamond ring is necessary . Any precious gem will do. Ruby, emerald, sapphire just to name a few . They are all beautiful stones.
