I don’t know what will happen, but I like option #3. I realize the particulars are different, but let them marry & then have Leslie do to Neil what he did to Sophia: drop him. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. What goes around comes around. What other ditties can I quote?

Neil is so oblivious to Leslie’s feelings. How can he NOT pick up on the fact that she’s not into this wedding?!
