Ali’s mother is right. Steve Burton is fantastic. Nobody could play Dylan in the earnest, steadfast way SB has and I don’t want to see another actor in the role. But that’s really an old story. Said that, been there before. Bring somebody else on if Y&R feels Paul’s son is important to the tapestry of the show, just not immediately. I like Mary Ann’s comments including Avery in the conclusion of Dylan’s story, but there is no timetable left to put any of that into motion. Ehhhh I’m torn on this. Steve Burton did an amazing job as Dylan. I can’t see anyone else really filling those particular shoes. He just had that feel to him. I voted no.

Dylan”s done a lot being in that show he is a son , has a café and if they just abandon his role that is a gap which is gone from the show and right now there is Adam already gone – so I think a recast would be fresh for a bit, but I am sorry to see Steve Burton go.

I say no because he don’t have much to do in the show, he don’t have a good storyline, I really hate what he is doing to nick , so is a good idea for him to leave then in the future he can come back recast or not he can come back In the future with a good storyline

I say definitely recast the role of Dylan. He’s a good, solid character. I like when YR writes in episodes where law enforcement is in the forefront. Dylan’s character lends a day to day stability to the show, just like Paul.

I said no as in not before 2018. I feel the new writers should see how the longer running characters play out over the next year. If Dylan fits in a new story they can bring him back with Steve Burton or a recast. My exit story would be for Dylan to reunite with Avery (off screen unless Emmy winner Jessica Collins is available) since that was his entrance storyline. He could go visit Avery for legal advice off screen and word could come from Paul or Nikki about Dylan reuniting with Avery.
