I voted I can live with it. It’s not as bad as I was expecting. I know some of you are General Hospital fans, have y’all seen their post-quarantine episodes? They are not doing the social distancing like Y&R, I wonder if they are testing them and having them stay in a bubble so to speak to pump out episodes. I was under the impression that some of their episodes were pre-quarantine until this week because they keep mentioning front line workers.
For the most part, it’s well done. It is noticeable that characters don’t hug or kiss each other when greeting or parting —but that’s a small thing considering the situation. I’m glad they are not doing severe closeups or using mannequins (!) like I’ve seen on Bold & Beautiful. Their episodes have been less successful for me. Maybe it’s the quality of the acting on YR? Our cast really is very good!!
To be honest, I’ve often thought the characters stand unusually close to each other just to accommodate the camera and make the show feel intimate. While I’m not used to the way they’re shooting the show currently, I think it’s actually more natural. I was especially impressed with the coffee house scene where Nick and Rey were at different tables. It seemed true to real life that men would grab different tables and just lean over the backs of the chairs. However, I didn’t care for the way Kyle and Summer were in a separate room from Dina and Dina… Read more »
I think overall they’ve done a good job. It’s wonderful to see many of the characters again. It be great if the camera angles improve so it isn’t as obvious how far apart they are. I think it’s just gonna take some time.
I found myself ‘looking’ for obvious ways they were juxtaposing the cast. A bit distracting, but overall they did a good job.
Having fun noticing all the Corona guidelines, but its fine and the show looked good! I just question how long can they keep this up before people start whispering about all the scandalous no sex please, we’re British? I want to repeat how I have zero interest in Devon & Elena taking center stage for the purpose of they being able to touch each other or see Sharon moved into a love story with Adam just so two more people can get it on. So not necessary. And I really don’t get how two people who are a real life… Read more »
I can live with it because I know this is our current living. But of course you could tell the difference in the filming between Tuesday’s show- 8/11/2020, that was taped before production shut down and the shows that were shot for that Monday’s recap show and the rest of the weeks episodes that were shot post Corona shut down. I mean people not being that close is how I have went through my personal life, I need my space, but to not see Kyle and Summer all over each other was kinda strange, but the other scenes were believable.
I didn’t noticed that big of a difference in the production. It seemed to me imo, everything looked the same.
