My bubble just burst a little. If you re-watch the episode, at the very last moment of Traci singing the line “a love like mine”, when she says “mine” the camera pans to the guests, and there is Traci in the back row on the left watching Chance and Abby whilst her song is still being sung.

When will you find love
A love that lasts forever more
Just look inside
And you will find
It’s always lived inside your heart
Just open it and start
To let it guide you
to the everlasting part

Musical Interlude

Search and you will find
Just look inside
And you will find a love
Like mine.

New lyrics to “Nadia’s Theme”.

That’s it! Only Traci sings the french word for love, ‘amour’ and that is missing from this text. As a writer maybe she decided to just throw this in for atmosphere…
Do you know if these are actually new words to Nadia’s theme or the very 1st original words? Don’t let me trouble your day…

I am pretty sure these lyrics were written recently, or more specifically, for Abby’s wedding and to celebrate the 12,000th episode. The older lyrics date back to the 70s.

I just feel like I once feel upon the information that the true lyrics to NT were originally When Will I Find Love, but it’s one of those recalls that is just as likely created out of my own imagination and not true. When will the truth of this whole situation be made clear to me? I feel agitatiated and obsessed in the moment, but don’t worry about me, I will be over it and on to the next momentarily! HA! I am very excited to see Abby again with today’s new installment, beginning in 35 minutes. I have fallen… Read more »

How could anyone not fall in love with Abby. She’s breathtaking in many ways.

If this has become a real head scratcher for you Gary I can offer a little bit of help. According to my research the song originally appeared in the movie “Bless the Beasts and the Children”. Later on Reneé Armand sang a version of the song with lyrics. You may listen to that song in the following link: https://youtu.be/w6ODJhj_OJk

Here’s something: (I told you I’m always onto something else) An instrumental of Bless The Beasts And The Children was used as a weepie on Y&R for years in the earliest years. I want to say they would soar it in at some poignant moment for Chris & Snapper. It does seem like a non-sequitur. I just remember it, I don’t explain it.
I’ll check your link out. Thanks!

I’m being facetious since it seems many Chatters are gaga over Traci’s performance.

1) Beth Maitland: “My contract better include residuals for singing.”

2) Traci: “Why is everyone wearing ear muffs? It is not cold inside.”

3) Traci: “I wanted to pursue a career as an opera singer but wearing those Viking horns in bed gave Brad a second circumcision.”

Gone, dreams of the past
Gone, with a love that moved too fast
Gone, bright shiny days
Gone, in a young and restless haze
Why did we love, then run away
So little time, so much left to say
And now, it’s gone

Young and restless friend
You’ll never pass this way again
Drink the summer wine
Reach for the stars
While you have time
Your restless dream
Will lead the way
So dream your dreams and live for each day
While you are young

Gone, in a young and restless haze

Yes. Those are the familiar words to Nadia’s Theme, The Young And The Restless. But those are not the words Traci sang at the wedding. Traci’s song may have been titled, When Will You Find Love. I could be mistaken but I believe Traci’s song concerning “amour” were the original lines written. Incredible, as vocalized by her. Haunting, by the unfamiliarity of it. Y&R’s incredible moment.

Correct me if I’m wrong…and I surely may be, but aren’t the words Traci sang, from “The Godfather.”

No, no, that’s not it. Omg, imagine if the writers wrote new lyrics to the melody just for Abby’s wedding? Someone needs to figure this out, I’m not good with technology.

The Godfather! I’m not sure of anything. At first I thought Y&R had written new lyrics to the theme from The Young And The Restless for Traci to sing, but then it filtered back to me that these are old, 1st version words of the song with Zoperxplex’s recitation coming later and the more famous, as established through the show. Prepared to be corrected.

I think the lyrics to “The Godfather” theme song started with the words “Speak softly, love and hold me warm against your heart.”

Yes, I was corrected. Thank you. That’s another beautiful song.
