I hated seeing Victor looking so defenseless to his illness when he was in the parking garage. It is was so upsetting to watch. Eric Braeden is such a great actor that it felt so real as you were watching it. It is a scarey place the parking garage, as it looked like Victor was isolated down there. Noone was around and you can imagine how scarey that feeling is knowing that noone is nearby to help you. I was glad he didn’t collapse, I didn’t want to see that happen with concrete everywhere! It was also nice to see… Read more »
You asked who or what we see next for a Cane and Traci, and I think I have an obvious answer for Cane…Jabot and then Ashley. Traci sees Cane needing to be part of the business world again, and convinces Ashley and Jack to take him on at Jabot. As a result Ashley grows close to him, eventually becoming romantic. Traci is heartbroken watching sister yet again capture the heart of the one she desired. Traci, of course, loves Cane, but knew better than to get involved with the type of man who she will always feel really desires someone… Read more »
Great, Lesley! Ashley gets Traci’s love. Although I do think dispite her beauty Ashley is a cold fish and not a good romantic character. And Cane so needy…
WT..@)’!?$&. The writers have got to be punking is! I am waiting for an Ashton Kutcher cameo appearance to be announced. They really auditioned and hired Gordon Thompson to play Daryl Tulane for this? If this really is all there is to his role is the continued propping of Chelsea as the good girl??? She only had a brief episode causing her return to her scheming grifter con days before her departure, and never really loved Adam for who he was, but loved Nick the whole time despite our seeing the opposite while watching her grieve?! Mr. Tulane is not… Read more »
Adam C. Gordon Thompson is always so creepy and melodramatic with that spooky speaking voice. Is That All There Is to this stunt casting???
How can anyone believe she married Calvin for love? She must have grieved for him in the span of what…half an hour?
The ambiguity with the writing continued this week, but this time with more recent history. Billy said to his therapist “when Adam came back to town, people thought that he changed, he might have even fooled me for a few moments.” That is not how I saw it. When Nikki told Nick, Victoria and Billy that Adam was alive, they inexplicably (because their relationship with him had warmed prior to his death) were immediately dismayed, worried, plotting of ways to thwart him, and shut him out of the family. Perhaps if they had not welcomed him the way they did,… Read more »
Botched return and unacceptable to the decerning viewer.
I just heard Billy’s intro with the therapist before the Y&R credits and am thinking, why are we going here again???
Caught in the act Victoria. Shame on you!
I was glad they had her admit it out right that she was treating Adam unfairly going against the judges ruling.
The truth is it is hard for anyone to open up to Victoria because she is a frigid, wet noodle.
That’s pretty good, but you might have said she was an entitled, self centered frigid wet noodle. I liked it a couple weeks ago when you wrote, “Nepotism got Victoria everywhere.” It’s a straight forward truism, but for some reason it struck me as hilariously funny! It just hit the right note out of nowhere for me…
Whenever Victoria shows some generosity of spirit my eyes open wide and I’m observing, “Oh…’
So true.
I can actually understand Abby being closed off to fully commit to an relationship. She has been betrayed by man after man and I think she needs to take a break from rushing into relationships. It wasn’t too long ago she ended an engagement. She made it clear to Nate where she stands and it’s up to Nate to decide if he can do the casual thing or not. Maybe she should have made it clear before they slept together. But I’d rather not see Abby go right back into the serious relationship.
I agree and I like that it is a female, because usually women are considered to be ready once they had sex, buy that is not always true, at least more recently, and I think with older women who have had more serious relationships fail, have learned to enjoy being single and free, but still want a physical relationship with somebody to use as a plus one occasionally. I think it is also a shield to protect the heart from the inevitable pain that will always come for certain women.
I might be the only one but I feel so bad for Adam. Adam did not want to come back to Genueoa city but he let Victor talk him into. After he comes back almost everyone treats him like he is the son of the devil and not deserving of common decency. Then when Adam doesn’t play to Victor’s tune he throws him away like garbage. He isn’t allowed near either of his kids. Why should Adam plays nice with them….
Adam is entitled to share custody of Connor. With regards to that issue I think the overwhelming majority of viewers would be in agreement. He lost custody because Chloe attempted to murder him, how can anyone ignore that fact? What Chelsea is doing is downright wrong and illegal.
You are not the only one at all. When he tried just saying hi and being friendly with Christian Nick would get angry and rush Christian away, then they tell Adam you should have taken Is it slow and got to know Christian.not just sue for custody. imagine you were believed dead and when your siblings find out they shut you out and try to get you out of town . Plus you are shot by a woman and cover for her when he didn’t need to do that at all but gets no credit. It was an accident with… Read more »
These are all valid takes, but I am not adverse to boldly suggesting my least favorite soap archetype storyline of a”WHO MURDERED ADAM?”, to put better sizzle into Y&R’s summer. It would go on forever and be tiresome from the start, but eventually it would clear more air space for the other characters… I guess I am being passive/agressive flip with this idea, but I feel resentful that the returning writer that Y&R is so crazy about has so re-written this character’s station in life upon his return from the dead, sending his emotional development back a dozen years, that… Read more »
*Sigh*… I missed seeing Traci this week. Unless there’s still Friday. Do you guys think that after “breaking” up with Cane she will be less seen in the show. What about Cane though? Hmmm… It’s just her being on the show brings so much light into it .
I miss Traci too. I hope that Traci will realize that she does love Cane. I’m afraid that Traci will be put on the back burner. She will only be used in her siblings storylines. PLEASE get Traci and Cane back together and back in a great storyline.
I agree..this week’s episodes are not as exciting without the budding Traci and Cane romance.
I agree with everything everybody said!
https://youtu.be/LW2E1pRCs3s https://youtu.be/XMuDOG2Q_h0 Ali and chatters I wanted to share these videos with you. I forgot that the girl we sat with for the evening with Eric Braeden had sent me her rap video to my phone when i got home. It was such a surprise. She was really cool! My husband and I sat with her and her mother. She was very friendly and outgoing. I didn’t realize she had her own youtube channel. I just now went to copy and paste the rap song she did about the event and found another video she made about the evening with… Read more »
I realize I didn’t mention the key fact that the rap song is about Victor Newman. Also I told her about your website Ali and mentioned how we have seen evidence that Y&R listens to the chatters. Side note: If anyone doesn’t know, all you have to do is highlight the youtube link and then right click to watch it.
Did MIchael even talk to Lauren before making his proposal to Christine about becoming the D.A? I am sure Lauren would be furious that Michael is planning a big career move like that, with less income and not bothering to discuss it with her first.
I am sorry to say but I found it almost laughable and irritating when Nikki was speaking to Victoria about how Victoria has been looking after Christian and was alluding to the fact that it must be difficult having an extra child in the home. This is absolutely true, but we haven’t really seen Victoria doing anything with her nephew. The day Victoria took Christian to the park, the nanny was the one who took him to the creek to play while Victoria sat around chatting with Chelsea, Sharon and Phyllis. Billy was the one who comforted Christian and suggested… Read more »
WWWHHHAAAAT? “Find myself”? What kind of cockamamie plan is that?
Oops what did I fast forward through?
That leads me to a question for Chatters: Do you fast forward through storylines? If so, which?
Mine include:
-Kyle and Lola talking
-Kyle talking about Lola
-Lola talking about Kyle
-painful Billy scenes about Delilah
Ya, really. Was that Nick going on spiritual quest? And now a day later he promises to ruin the great Adam. Good luck with that…
Why would Theo reveal the secret? It seems it would besmirch his reputation as much as Kyle’s.
I agree I don’t understand Theo “threatening” Kyle about the New York secret. Is Theo doing it just so he can have Kyle be the party guy with him again? I’m sure Theo could find many others who want to party all the time rather than just wanting Kyle. I’m confused to understand why Kyle changing to be a more settled down man is such a bad thing. Just find different fiends Theo who align with your lifestyle.
