Devon/Elaina, Nikki/Victor’s interaction at the carnival was on of my favourite scenes of the week! So unexpected but fun! Same thing for Kevin, Mariah, Tessa. Also love Traci & Cane still! If they are going to break up soon I’d like Traci to a bit more candy cane lovin first! Ali and chatters please forgive me….I am on summer holidays and just felt like taking advantage of the free time I have. I thought I would post this useless fun fact. “Don Don” had said this to Lola at the party when she asked him what kind of restaurant he owned in Brooklyn. I put the closed captioning on because I didn’t know what he had said. He said “Curated, artisianal meats gastropub”. Thoughts this week: 1.) Mariah making a video for Lola was definitely weird. Was she hired by Lola or Society? Isn’t Society the one who needs the PR? Also she doesn’t even have a tech team if their plan is to create videos? The meaning of PR is currently lost in this show. 2.) Phyllis and Cricket! The banter between that too is gold. I think Paul is intentionally misleading Chelsea into a false sense of security. Calvin’s death was actually ruled a homicide by the coroner but Paul wants to see what Chelsea’s reaction will be once she is convinced that she will be left to go scot free by the authorities.

Hi Ali, I think my bestie on the show would be Michael Baldwin. He is smart, funny, good looking and charming. He could also give you free legal advice if you needed it. I will pretend that Michael didn’t turn on his best friend Victor when he tried to throw Victor’s court case and put Victor in prison when he was Victor’s attorney. That was terrible.
I am loving the budding friendship between Mariah and Lola. More females being real frienda instead of two faced secret foes please.
I am gonna go about Phyllis now. Michelle Stafford’s portrayal is juts so foxy and snaky and maniupulating not to mention funny. And I really like sseing her interacting wiht the character in the show , some new , some very goo known to her. It also must be very nostalgic to the fans of the actress. Although I am all Gina fan and all the dimensions she brought the charater with. I am just fun and captured of Gina Tognoni performance. Really enjoying Michelle Stafford’s return as Phyllis. She really enlivens—once again—a rapidly sagging storyline. However, must take exception with Adam’s use of the b—— word when talking about Chelsea to Paul in today’s episode (07/12/19). I wonder if we might get a stalking story since they blew the chance with Mariah. Lola’s mother may have been foreshadowing this when she asked Lola if having a cooking show from her apartment could be dangerous. It was interesting that she had mentioned that because as soon as Mariah had mentioned the idea of a cooking show to Lola, I immediately thought that was an opportunity to have a stalking story that we missed out on before. I wanted to correct myself when I said a few weeks ago that Phyllis and Chance had been romantically involved before. My apologies. I had stopped watching during that time when Chance was on the show. I was thinking of Ronan and Phyllis.

I like that Y&R is giving us different views and camera angles. At NIck’s house, we are seeing different backgrounds in the hallway when he and Chelsea were talking. There was a picture in the background that we have never seen. Also, when Nick and Summer were talking by the window. I also noticed at Society we saw Victor and Victoria talking by the wall which was different and also at Adam’s apartment, when he was pouring a drink while speaking to Kevin. I am so happy to that Christine announced she is stepping down as D.A! Yeah! I have been wanting Christine to have a major storyline and not always showing her in court or in Paul’s office. I would really love to see Paul and Christine having some sexy time at their apartment. I don’t even remember what their place looks like, it has been so long. I am excited to see what is is store for Christine’s next adventure.
About Celeste and Rey, even with a vivid imagination, I can’t see them as mother and son. They look like contemporaries, and it sounded ridiculous when Rey called her Mama. I bet they had Rey shave to try to make him look slightly younger.
Finally, an opportunity to disagree with you Sandra. I think they look fine together. Mrs. R is what people used to call in the movies, “a fine looking woman”. She could be in her mid-50s with Jabot face rejuviniating cream ( she’s made it clear she’s dogged the family) and could Rey be younger than 35? I really liked the exchanges of power in the parent/child relationship in the little scene we saw that brought mother and son together. Was disappointed in the chatter ‘hate mail’ for the original actor, John Driscoll (?) and don’t want a recast. At least Nick N spelled out character consistency with him: “Chance Chancellor? With Adam? Chance was a good egg, straight arrow. What would he be doing being friends with Adam? That makes no sense>..” Right.QG1nI
From what I’ve heard, Chance was a nice guy and not the type to get into trouble. Maybe, Adam actually has a good side and he befriended Chance whilst in Las Vegas. Perhaps Adam wasn’t as shady and badly behaved in sin city as he would like everyone to think.
Adam seemed very well behaved until he figured out who he was. Maybe he feels the pressure, obligation to walk the prince of darkness walk, what he believes to be his soap life destiny, even though, truth be told, he rather just kick back and chill? The old pull to step up to the plate so as not to disappoint all those haters out there expecting the worst of him…
I’m thoroughly enjoying Theo. I crack up with his animated gestures and over the top personality. I grew up with a lot of people like him, so I find him funny. The other thing I like about the actor is that I believe him. Even when he’s acting up, it comes across legit, like that is his personality. I’m so bored with Kyle, I hit the snooze button the minute he opens his mouth. What did they do to him?
Because you are a party animal yourself… I’m not a big Theo fan, but your poins are great and I can look at him differently with your post. He’s like a real person. I like Theo, but I’m not sure what to make of him. Last week he got mad at Summer for going on about Kyle (which is understandable). He forgave her and made it seem like she was different from other girls which I thought meant he was falling for her. Then this week instead of being happy for Kyle, he’s trying to get Kyle to be his wild single friend again which can drive Lola away (which is what he wants, maybe?)
