https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZsoTHNcOBEk I wanted to post this classic clip as it is very interesting and quite long! Also hard to find now a days. We see a very young Paul and Patty and their mother. The interesting thing for me was Katherine’s much younger husband Derek Thursten . He is a hairdresser at the salon Jill works at. He loves Jill but wants to use Katherine for her money to open up his own salon. He is to be shown everything there is to learn at Chancellor Industries by a man named George who works for Katherine and is a friend… Read more »
How can Doug Davidson be off contract??? That seems crazy. The show needs legacy characters and he’s been on the longest! Plus you need law enforcement now and then. They should give Kevin his job at the police station again. I just don’t understand these decisions! NO WONDER ERIC BRAEDEN TWEETS IN ALL CAPS! HE IS PROBABLY UPSET ABOUT THIS!
SHADAM! I know the new writers haven’t handled SHADAM! well since Adam returned from the dead. But SHADAM! from the Michael Muhney era is not a different couple! We have to think of them as the very same people throughout. It’s hard with the Muhney-Hartley-Grossman progression. It’s almost like Sharon has had 3 different relationships. But no—it’s all one Adam, so they have quite a long history as a couple. I don’t feel like they need a big build up as a couple all over again. They have had each other’s backs in dark times on multiple occasions. They have… Read more »
It is a statement of fact you make that even when 3 different actors play the same role bringing different chemistries to the part with another actor (or actors) it is still all but one Adam.
It was great seeing the New episodes, but I really enjoyed the classics. While they skipped around in order, we got to see most of the milestones of the characters who are still on the show. For example, we saw Michael go from a sexually harassing, apartment tunneling psychopath to proposing to Lauren, thinking he saw her explode on their honeymoon, finding out he is going to be a father, and then trying to keep Michael and Gloria out of trouble!
As soon as I heard that Y& R was back I could not wait to listen to Y&R Chat on Monday Morning while at work (Even though I am 1 episode ahead of You thanks to being Canadian). You are so spunky and enthusiastic about Y&R and I absolutely love it! My Hubby got a good break from Y&R – but now that it is back we watch it while eating dinner and it makes us take time and eat. He is consuming some more wine now but who cares! Y&R is back Baby!
Finally the Bixby mystery is solved!
